Chapter 483: The Past!
Second Death
Seth Phalkon attacks the Spector Group with a computer virus. Rather than letting it destroy the entire conglomerate and his employees, Mark isolates it and himself in his building.
He died in the subsequent collapse and was resurrected for the second time. Moonlight Knight returned and Kongsu resurrected Spector again to fight against another plot of Seth, who recruited Spector's old enemies Bushman, Black Phantom and Morpheus. They used Seth's statue to try to sabotage the United Nations peace conference.
Spector destroys the statue, foiling the plot. The CIA attempts to assassinate Spector because he knows too much about their mind control programs. Together with the Agency's old flame Candace Calder, he uncovers the latest details of their sinister plans.
Specter returned to the spirit realm to help Black Panther reconnect with his own patronus, Buster, and although Nightmare impersonated Khonsu in an attempt to distract them, the real Khonsu aided them in their mission.
Marvel Knights Despite Spector's distrust of the team, he joins a group that seeks to bring in the Punisher for his excessive vigilanteism, and Mark provides funding for the headquarters.
Zaran severely wounded Spector, and the team's building exploded in the same attack. After this, Spector retreated again.
Bushman and Initiative Spector finally exorcises one of his demons after a brutal rooftop battle, where he kills Bushman and slices off Bushman's face with the tip of a crescent dart, unaware that the fight was initiated by the New Crime Chamber.
Moon Knight survived, though with a broken knee. After pushing his loved ones away and isolating himself, he became depressed and turned to drugs and alcohol. Frenchman was beaten after meeting and coming out to Mark, who tracked down his attacker and transformed himself into Moon Knight.
These events forced Spector out of his listless state, at the cost of his mental stability. Moon Knight Mark still believed himself to be an agent of Konsu, but in his mind, Konsu wore the mutilated face of Bushman, just like everyone else from Spector's past.
The Crime Chamber hires Taskmaster to kill Spector, but he is jumped out of a window with the help of Marlene and Samuel.
After returning home, Spector bandaged his wounds, but despite his injuries, he put on his combat suit and piloted a Lunar Helicopter into a Manhattan office building to continue his battle with Taskmaster.
After defeating Taskmaster, he left the destroyed office with the Crime Chamber's files and cleaned up his life, including going to the hospital for treatment. Despite this, he felt he was not ready to fully transform into Moon Knight again.
During an argument with Bushman's hallucinations, Khonsu revealed that he had planted seeds of revenge in the minds of the New Crime Chamber and had subtly manipulated them so that Mark would pray to him, trust him more, and become more vengeful.
Registering as a superhero Although Captain America told him to stay on the sidelines as he believed Spector belonged in the suit, shortly before the final battle of the Superhuman Registration Act conflict, he was approached by Tony Stark, knowing that Captain America had contacted him, and asked him to tell him if he had heard from him again.
Around this time, he also met the new Midnight, who became obsessed with him and wanted to be his mortal enemy, killing people just to get his attention, until Moon Knight eventually killed him after being freed by Lynn Church.
Lynn thought Midnight had gone too far when he began trying to remove Moon Knight's spines from his back with pliers instead of letting him kill them as they actually wanted. Soon after, with the Civil War coming to an end, Mark decided to register with the government to ensure that no one tried to arrest him while he was "working".
He used the information that the profile had gathered about the doctor who was to conduct the interview to intimidate, intimidate and blackmail him into going through with his application, knowing that the authorities would initially try to arrest and/or otherwise bring him to justice.
Specter was registered as an independent and received little supervision as he would have liked. When Norman Osborn sent his Specter to kill Moon Knight, Moon Knight had to fake his own death.
After that, he fled to Mexico for a while using the name Jack Lockley. He eventually met up with the Punisher and the Zapata brothers to help save Carmen Alcantara from her father's drug cartel.
Dark Reign
Some time later, Moon Knight returns to New York with the intention of becoming a hero, but he still struggles with his violent nature and is hunted by a fictional Kong Shu. As he attempts to take the path of justice, he boldly returns to stop a bank robbery without killing any of the robbers.
Much to Norman Osborn's disdain, Moon Knight is now a hero instead of a murderous vigilante, so he calls in The Hood and Crossfire to deal with him. The Hood supernaturally resurrects Bushman and recruits him as part of his force to fight Moon Knight.
While investigating a warehouse at the docks, Moon Knight was ambushed and shot by Bushman. A violent fight ensued between the two, with Bushman ultimately being shot with machine gun fire.
As Moon Knight prepares to cut off Bushman's face again, Kongsu appears and yells at Moon Knight to obey him. Bushman then begs Moon Knight not to cut off his face, which Moon Knight does not do.
Secret Avengers Secret
After Avenger Norman Osborn's defeat at the Siege of Asgard, Steve Rogers was named his successor. He reorganized the Avengers and recruited Moon Knight to join his Secret Avengers.
Their first mission sent the team to Mars. Later, Moon Knight joined a team that infiltrated the Secret Empire dungeon beneath Cincinnati. Some of his teammates, such as Beast, did not support Spector due to his mental illness.
Solo Avenger
His celebration is interrupted by a phone call and he heads outside to meet Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Captain America.
Cap tells Mark that criminals have been migrating to Los Angeles and that he now operates there, and he wants Mark to find out why. He reminds Mark that as an Avenger he never has to work alone.
