Chapter 544 Fudge Arrives
In the morning, Harry's worries vanished as a letter was delivered to Hogwarts by an owl.
That was a letter from Lupin.
Dear Harry:
We have found Sirius Black. He appears to have suffered some pain, but he is still conscious.
We need to send him to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries and Wounds, but before that, I think I should tell you this.
I will write to you again if there is any further news.
Also, no matter what happens, never easily trust anyone who wants you to leave school, even if they are related to Sirius (that's what Sirius means).
I hope you have a good time at Hogwarts.
Remus Lupin's letter finally gave Harry a sigh of relief.
Sirius Black has been found, and he's alive—for Harry right now, there couldn't be better news.
-
Even two consecutive potions classes in fifteen minutes couldn't ruin his good mood.
"I told you Sirius would be alright, and you still didn't believe me," Ron said loudly.
"I'm sorry," Harry said. "I was just so worried about Sirius."
"Alright, it's good that Sirius is alright. Now is not the time to talk about this." Hermione pushed a plate in front of Harry. "Class is about to start, and if you don't want to brew potions on an empty stomach, you'd better eat something quickly."
Harry had been worried about Sirius Black the whole time, and even after arriving at the Great Hall, he had no appetite. He only drank a sip of pumpkin juice during this time.
Harry hurriedly stuffed fried eggs and sausages into his mouth, and while pouring pumpkin juice, he glanced at Siron, who hadn't said a word since the beginning.
Harry noticed that Siren was looking down, intently carving on a wand with a carving knife, and he curiously peeked over to take a look.
"Sirlen, are you making a wand?" he asked vaguely.
"Well, I guess so." Xilun looked up and cleaned up the wood shavings at his feet.
"Wait, isn't that your usual wand?" Harry frowned in confusion as he looked at the wand in Hillon's hand.
Silver-white, with spiral patterns on the wand and two small tips on the handle—he had only ever seen one wand this beautiful, and it left a deep impression on him.
"They just look the same," Siron said casually, putting away his wand and pushing another plate toward Harry.
"Would you like another sandwich?"
"I'm afraid it's a bit too late." Harry glanced at the time.
There were less than ten minutes left before class started, and Snape's class required them to arrive at the underground classroom early.
In order not to be late, he could only grab a sandwich and eat it as he walked towards the underground classroom.
"Wait, wait a minute." Someone called out from behind.
"Colin, what's up?" Harry asked. "If you want to take pictures, you'll have to wait a bit, because I have to go to the underground classroom for Potions class right away."
Colin Crevey, a fervent admirer of Harry, spent almost every day around Harry when he first enrolled, taking pictures of him from all sorts of angles.
In order to better understand Harry's movements, he even memorized the entire second-year timetable.
Although Colin has become much more rational and less crazy, his eyes still lit up when Harry brought up taking pictures.
"How about lunchtime—" Colin blurted out, but then he quickly remembered something and shook his head, saying, "No, I'm here to see Mr. Ollivander."
"Looking for me?" Xilun stopped in his tracks, puzzled.
"To be precise, the Minister of Magic is looking for you," Colin said. "He's in the Headmaster's office right now. Headmaster Dumbledore asked me to tell you that he's spoken to Professor Snape and you don't have to attend Potions class. Oh, and the password is Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean."
Harry and Ron immediately cast envious glances at Cyron.
No Potions class—they couldn't even imagine how cheerful they would become upon hearing that. Harry was even willing to give up all the presents he received for Christmas in exchange.
But Siron frowned slightly as he noticed another person Colin had mentioned—the Minister of Magic.
Fudge has come to Hogwarts again, and he specifically asked to see him.
It's obvious that it's because of what happened in the swamp that day.
In fact, when Dumbledore sent Kingsley to inform the Ministry of Magic, Sirius already knew that Fudge would definitely come looking for him.
Siren was also well aware that Fudge would never admit that Voldemort had returned.
Even if all the irrefutable evidence were presented to him, even if he himself knew it was true, as long as Voldemort did not publicly appear in front of everyone, he would choose to pretend to be deaf and dumb and refuse to admit it.
However, Dumbledore clearly hadn't realized this yet, as evidenced by his sending Kingsley to inform the Ministry of Magic. He still harbored illusions about Fudge, believing that the two sides could work together to fight Voldemort, just like they had done a decade or so ago.
"What a hassle." Sirius rubbed his forehead. He really didn't want to go to the headmaster's office. Dumbledore wanted him to prove that Voldemort had been resurrected, but Fudge was determined not to believe it.
So whether he goes or not is completely meaningless.
Xilen reached into her pocket and pulled out a flower-shaped gummy candy.
This was a coma-inducing candy he had gotten in advance from the Weasley brothers; eating it would cause him to fall into a coma and not wake up until a day later.
Dumbledore and Fudge couldn't possibly wait another day for him.
Siren raised his hand, but just as he was about to put the gummy in his mouth, he saw Snape walk up from the underground classroom.
"Olivander, go to the principal's office now," he said.
"Professor Snape, I have already told him," Colin said.
"If that's the case, then what are you dawdling about?" Snape narrowed his eyes. "Wait, what are you holding in your hand?"
'
"Honey Duke's Gummy Bears," Siron said, opening his arms.
Snape glanced at him briefly before urging Cyren to hurry up and go to the headmaster's office, leaving his homework there as well—Cyren felt that this was the real reason he had come up here.
But no matter what, feigning unconsciousness won't work. Quick-acting skip-class candy is basically another form of potion, and it's all basic potion. Snape will definitely be able to make an antidote in a short time.
With no other option, Celen had to hand in his homework to Snape and then grit his teeth and head up the stairs.
He really didn't want to go. This matter would most likely cause Dumbledore and Fudge to completely break up. If he told the truth, he would definitely be regarded as Dumbledore's accomplice.
Although Fudge's methods of revenge were not very effective, they were still quite irritating.
