Chapter 16 Gold Coins
Chapter 16 Gold Coins
Song Sheng and his group walked in.
The woman in the cheongsam, who had been reclining on the sofa, slowly sat up.
The fitted cheongsam accentuated her curvaceous figure, making her even more eye-catching.
The woman gently brushed a strand of hair behind her ear with her pale fingertips, which were painted with bright red nail polish, and turned back to look at her: "Sister Pei, won't you introduce us?"
The woman in the cheongsam was probably around thirty-one or thirty-two years old. She had fair skin and a beautiful face. She spoke casually, but her voice had a soft and gentle quality. In particular, her long eyes were watery and captivating.
As fellow boxers, Song Sheng clearly sensed that the Asian boxer's breathing became heavier when the woman stood up and spoke.
The other two also underwent some slight changes.
Sister Pei picked up the white porcelain teacup on the coffee table, took a small sip, and then raised her peach blossom eyes to scan the four boxers in the room. Instead of introducing them, she first introduced the identities of the two women.
Both of them were friends of Queen Pei, or rather, her close confidantes.
Xie Chenyu, a woman in a cheongsam, is like a fox.
The blonde, blue-eyed woman was Mia.
Her makeup was exquisite, her hands were folded on her knees, and her beige suit was very well-tailored. She looked to be about thirty-two or thirty-three years old, and when she raised her head, she always had a polite smile on her face.
Sister Pei did not elaborate on their specific identities, only pointing out that both of them were married women.
After saying that, he turned to the two women and said, "In short, I have found boxers for you. Each of them is good enough for top-level boxing matches. As for whether you like them or not, and whether you want to support them, that depends on fate."
Xie Chenyu was somewhat dissatisfied: "Is that all? Pei Pei, at least tell us about their special skills."
Sister Pei seemed to have heard some unpleasant nickname, and she shot a glare at her.
Xie Chenyu muttered angrily in a low voice, "You stingy guy! After so many years of friendship, what's wrong with calling me Pei Pei? What's wrong with that?!"
Sister Pei's death stare.
Xie Chenyu quickly sat down next to her and quietly apologized.
Seeing this, Mia smiled and turned her emerald eyes to examine the four boxers.
After a moment, she spoke in standard London English: "Four of you, there are security personnel we have specially arranged in the corridor outside the third floor, including the lobby. Each of them has at least one gold coin in their pocket."
If you can snatch three of the coins from the unarmed security guards within the allotted ten minutes, you will pass our test. In addition to keeping the coins you receive, you will each receive an extra thousand dollars as a reward.
She paused slightly at this point before continuing, "Of course, if you are not happy with this arrangement and choose to refuse, that's fine too."
"You're all from Sister Pei's establishment, so we won't make things difficult for you."
After she finished speaking, Xie Chenyu, who was sitting next to her, repeated it to Song Sheng and the others in Chinese.
Song Sheng remained silent throughout, only his eyes brightening slightly when he heard about the gold coin.
Standing next to him, the burly, mountain-like white man suddenly spoke up: "Ten minutes? Madam, that's a bit too long."
After saying that, he turned and glanced at Song Sheng and the others, his tone laced with sarcasm: "Give me five minutes, that's enough. Please don't judge me by the standards of these East Asian men."
As soon as he finished speaking, the Muay Thai fighter next to him stepped forward: "I only need five minutes too."
Another young man of Asian descent, standing at the very edge, also extended a hand and echoed, "Five minutes!"
In the end, all eyes in the large private room couldn't help but fall on Song Sheng, who had remained silent throughout.
This made him seem a bit out of place among the four boxers.
Song Sheng smiled shyly, like a gentle and honest young man: "Ten minutes is indeed a bit long, but if it's only five minutes, I would be a little worried."
So I'll choose ten minutes, is that okay?
Mia smiled politely as before: "Sir, you are very honest."
Your choice is fine. The timeframe was set beforehand; you just need to collect three gold coins to pass.
"Well then," Xie Chenyu glanced down at the expensive watch on her wrist, then looked up and said, "if there are no other objections, please begin your performances."
As soon as he finished speaking, the man in white took the lead and pushed open the door to exit the private room first.
Next was the Asian man, followed by the Muay Thai fighter, and finally Song Sheng.
Once the door to the private room closed again, Xie Chenyu looked at Mia with her seductive eyes: "So, which one have you taken a fancy to? Let's make it clear, you're not allowed to compete with me for her later."
Mia: "Actually, I don't really care whether I like them or not. They all seem really amazing."
"I don't think so," Xie Chenyu said with a sly smile, "By the way, since you don't have one in particular in mind, let me choose first!"
Mia smiled and nodded.
Of the three best friends, Xie Chenyu has the most fun-loving personality. She and Sister Pei have always treated Xie Chenyu like a younger sister, and she also acts as a mediator between the three of them.
Mia looked to the other side: "Sister Pei, which of the four do you think has the best chance?"
Sister Pei didn't say it outright, but instead said, "You'll find out when they come back."
Xie Chenyu was quite looking forward to it. She would occasionally check the time on her watch, wondering if those professional security personnel could withstand the attack unarmed.
Only four minutes later, a waiter opened the door to the private room.
The white-clad man walked in first, head held high and chest puffed out.
He opened his hand, and three gleaming gold coins slipped from between his fingers, clattering onto the floor.
The white-clad man was only covered in a little dust and two half-footprints; he still looked energetic.
Fifteen seconds later, the door to the private room was reopened by the waiter.
An Asian man walked in, his tightly clenched hand also holding three gold coins.
Upon noticing the white-clad man who had entered first, he gave him a provocative look.
The white man made a horizontal slicing motion across his neck with his thumb, as if to kill him.
Their eyes met, and they were both very angry.
At this moment, the door was opened again by someone else, and the Muay Thai fighter with his hands bound with straps walked in. Although he saw the two white men who had come in earlier, he approached without changing his expression, like an ascetic monk.
He placed three gold coins on the coffee table.
Xie Chenyu said with satisfaction, "All of these were completed within five minutes. You truly deserve to be called—"
Halfway through her speech, she suddenly remembered that she was still missing one person…
I checked the time; it's been over six minutes!
