Hawke blinked.
So enthusiastic?
Are you going to give me a fucks?
half an hour.
Hawke looked at the unconscious Ivanka and couldn't help but show a look of disdain.
You started this war, but you backed down so quickly. What am I supposed to say to you?
...
Ivanka and her team stayed at Summit Entertainment to hand over the work, while Hawke returned to New York alone.
Leaving the airport, driving on the highway, the engine hummed as the sports car merged into the traffic heading towards Manhattan.
It was midday, the sun was glaring, and the road was rather empty.
Hawke held the steering wheel with one hand and casually rested the other hand on the car window, his fingertips tapping lightly to the rock rhythm of the car stereo.
He was to decide whether to first comfort Emilia, who hadn't been pampered for a long time and might be a little upset, or to go find out about Na Lan, whom he hadn't spoken to alone before, and find out about her recent life.
"Tsk, what a nuisance." Hawke shook his head. "Never mind, let's get down to business."

Afghanistan.
The scorching sun baked the golden desert, and the burning heat permeated the entire desert, making it extremely hot.
The Ten Commandments Gang's base, inside a cave.
After being comforted by Ethan, Tony rallied and began to look for a way to make a living.
After agreeing to the terrorists' request to build the Jericho missile, he provided them with a list of materials.
The list of materials was very long, and most of the materials were indeed necessary for manufacturing the Jericho missile, but a small number of other materials were mixed in.
Tony was certain that these terrorists couldn't see through his manipulation, so he remained quite calm.
As expected, the terrorist leader glanced at the materials a few times, then nodded in satisfaction, clearly pleased with Tony's current attitude. He then took the materials list and went to arrange them himself. Soon, piles of materials were being moved around like a flowing river.
Tony also demanded that the terrorists convert a makeshift laboratory:
"I need welding tools, acetylene and propane welding are both fine, as well as a helmet, goggles, a melting cup, and two sets of precision tools..."
The illiterate terrorist leader got a headache just listening to this stuff, and with a wave of his hand, he ordered his men to give Tony the green light all the way.
In order to get the Jericho missile, we can give this guy some conveniences, but if he doesn't make the Jericho missile... hehe!
Taking advantage of the terrorist leader's absence, Ethan quietly asked:
"Tony, what do you need all this for?"
"You'll find out soon enough."
Tony smiled slightly.
Tony moved all the Stark Industries-produced artillery shells from the base into the cave.
As Tony disassembled the shells, he chatted casually with Ethan:
How many languages do you speak?
“Many kinds,” Ethan said. “But obviously, it’s still not enough here. They speak Arabic, Urdu, Dari, Parshtu, Persian, Russian…”
As Tony looked at the disassembled missiles, searching for anything usable inside, he said, "Looks like their composition is quite complex."
Ethan: "They are all your loyal users, Mr. Stark."
Tony was a little embarrassed and said:
“I already said I don’t sell weapons to terrorists. It must be someone inside the group who, blinded by greed, let these weapons end up on the black market.”
Ethan remained noncommittal.
"If you tell me your plans, we might be able to act faster."
Ethan squatted down next to Tony and said.
They weren't afraid of being discovered by terrorists, because these people were all illiterate and few of them understood English.
Tony did not answer.
He disassembled the shell and used tweezers to find a small piece of metal, which he then examined under the light.
Ethan asked:
"what is this?"
“Palladium, 0.15 grams.” Tony used tweezers to place the small metal piece into the storage box. “We need at least 1.6 grams. Go and disassemble the other 11 shells.”
Ethan did not object and did as Tony said.
Once all the metal sheets were collected, Tony chipped them into powder.
Then, using a small crucible, the palladium metal was melted into molten iron.
"Be careful, we only have one chance."
Tony reminded him.
Ethan chuckled: "Don't worry, my hand is very steady. Otherwise, how do you think you survived?"
Tony carefully poured the molten metal target into a pre-prepared mold and waited for it to cool.
"Tony, what are you doing?"
"Palladium exhibits exceptionally high energy output during water electrolysis, with neutrons and tritium being released, thus enabling it to induce nuclear fusion at room temperature."
Ethan: "???"
You're conducting nuclear fusion in such a rudimentary cave?
After processing, a pale blue, bowl-sized, semi-circular arc reactor appeared in Tony's hands.
"This doesn't look like a Jericho missile."
"Because this is a mini version of the Arc Reactor, with an energy output of 30 billion joules per second. I have an even larger one in my house that supplies energy to the entire factory."
“30 billion joules per second?” Ethan stared in disbelief. “That’s enough to make your heart beat for 50 lifetimes.”
“If I could live that long…” Tony chuckled, “but I’m even more excited about it being able to get a big guy up and move around for 15 minutes…”
The Arc Reactor was completed and installed inside Tony's body, replacing the original electromagnet made from a car battery.
Tony then began his career as a blacksmith.
"Jingle bells!"
Tony, shirtless and drenched in sweat, hammered away at the metal sheet.
While Tony was working as a blacksmith, hammering iron blocks and enduring hardships he had never experienced in his entire life over several days, Hawke had already entered downtown Manhattan.
On a bustling street in Manhattan, Hawke prepared to inspect the building under reconstruction at Lane Biotech.
After being blown up by the Hand and the Society, they pulled out the dragon bones and later finalized a reconstruction plan, intending to build the new Ryan Bio headquarters building into a landmark building.
Before arriving at the construction site, Hawke had just opened the car door and stepped onto the construction site ground full of gravel and steel bars when a strong industrial smell mixed with dust and metal hit him.
The afterglow of the setting sun cast a warm golden hue on the cold steel structure, but this warmth was fleeting.
Zila——!
A faint yet extremely piercing sonic boom shattered the silence.
Hawke didn't even lower his head; he simply raised his right hand with lightning speed and firmly grasped a severely deformed sniper rifle bullet less than ten centimeters from his temple.
The bullet twisted and smoked between his steely fingers.
“Wow,” Hawke’s lips curled into a mocking smile as his gaze swept over several unfinished high-rise buildings deep in the construction site. “A unique ‘groundbreaking ceremony’? Quite distinctive.”
Roar—Shake!
The response he received was not a human voice, but a roar like that of a wild beast.
Five or six figures, like ghosts, simultaneously burst forth from the shadows, the ruins, and even from gaps in the unfinished building!

They moved so fast they left afterimages, and some of them were firing wildly with specially made submachine guns, bullets pouring down on where Hawke was standing.
Some wielded oddly shaped, sharp blades that gleamed with a cold light, aiming straight for vital points;
Some people even slammed their hands on the ground, creating an invisible shockwave that swept up rubble and steel bars, forming a deadly wave that swept in!
Our witch-hunting squad has officially made its debut!
The leader was an Asian man wearing a long trench coat and sporting a trendy Korean hairstyle. He was expressionless, with cold features and eyes as icy as the Siberian permafrost. He stood atop a five-story building, looking down at the ground below.
This is none other than the most outstanding witch experiment subject currently possessed by our company—the young nobleman.
His very presence seemed to create a heavy sense of oppression, and the surrounding air seemed to thicken.
The young nobleman and his assassination squad met up with several other teams in New York.
However, due to a lack of intelligence, they were unable to effectively obtain information about Hawke's whereabouts.
With so many businesses in the Lane family and so many women in Hawke Lane's life, no one except Hawke himself knows where he will go next.
He was even less likely to spare troops to monitor them one by one, and he didn't think that capturing one of Hawke's women would threaten him; on the contrary, it would only make him more vigilant.
So they adopted the simplest but most effective method—waiting for the rabbit to run into their trap.
I'll blockade one spot with my troops, and you'll come eventually!
They chose the reconstruction site of Lane Bio. They had seen public information online that this place would be used to rebuild the Lane Bio building, which would become a landmark building with more than ten top-notch biological laboratories. It was definitely a project that Hawk Lane attached great importance to.
The key point is that this area is a busy urban area, so Hawke will definitely have to be more cautious during the fight, and may even have to spare some of his strength to rescue the civilians who are being attacked.
The emperor pays off!
After waiting for almost a month, it's finally here!
