Zhou Ye gave the order decisively.
"receive."
The explosion was from a grenade; it seems the two mechanical soldiers used heavy firepower to block the suddenly appearing powerful zombies and the horde of corpses that had been attracted to them.
But this caused quite a commotion.
The sound would attract all the zombies in the entire Fujimi Academy, no, almost half of the area.
Zhou Ye looked at Shizuka Marikawa, who was still in a state of shock.
"Mr. Juchuan, the path you were hoping for has probably turned into a zombie carnival."
He paused and continued:
"We've changed our plans; let's go to the rooftop."
Upon hearing this, Shizuka Marikawa's face drained of all color. She barely managed to steady herself, her voice trembling, "Rooftop...?"
"Teacher Zhou, aren't we going to Building 4? Let's go down from here and cross the playground..."
Her words were filled with incomprehension and fear.
The rooftop? That's a dead end!
"time."
Zhou Ye interrupted her with two words.
"The explosion just now has turned this building into a zombie buffet. Even if my robots can fight their way out from the first floor, how long do you think it will take us? And how long can you hold out?"
His words were devoid of any emotion, yet they sent a chill down Shizuka Marikawa's spine.
She imagined the scene of breaking through a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, and her stomach churned.
"But, but the rooftop..."
“I have a special access,” Zhou Ye interrupted her again, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"You just need to close your eyes when the time comes, or do you want to experience the thrill of being chased and devoured by hundreds of zombies right now?"
Shizuka Marikawa jolted awake and shook her head frantically.
She dared not question it anymore.
Although this man saved her, his way of doing things instilled fear in her from the bottom of her heart.
"I, I understand."
Nami patted Shizuka Marikawa on the shoulder and whispered, "Shizuka-neechan, listen to the boss, you can't go wrong. You can't imagine what he's capable of."
Saeko Busujima licked her lips; being surrounded by zombies actually excited her.
But she also knew that Zhou Ye's judgment was usually the optimal solution.
"Walk."
Zhou Ye stopped talking and turned to walk up the stairs.
The mechanical soldiers immediately followed, forming a tight protective formation.
The group quickly passed through the seventh floor and arrived at the staircase leading to the eighth-floor rooftop.
Pushing open the iron gate leading to the rooftop, a strong stench of gunpowder, blood, and decay hit you.
The rooftop of Fujimi Academy offers a wide view.
But what they saw before them was an apocalyptic scene.
Thick black smoke rose from both inside the academy and in other visible areas, with flickering flames faintly visible.
In the distance, the city's outline was blurred by the smoke and dust.
Gunshots, explosions, the crashes of out-of-control vehicles, desperate screams from humans, and the unique howls of zombies intertwined to create a chaotic symphony that echoed throughout Raccoon City.
Shizuka Marikawa covered her mouth, her eyes filled with disbelief and despair.
"How could...how could this have happened..."
She muttered to herself, her body swaying precariously.
Is this still the bustling metropolis she knows?
How long has it been, and the world has turned into hell?
Zhou Ye had anticipated the scene before him; he even felt that this was just an appetizer.
William Birkin's "masterpiece" goes far beyond this.
Nami and Saeko Busujima had also witnessed the horrific scene of the mansion incident, and although they were also feeling palpitations, they were far calmer than Shizuka Marikawa.
"The tragedy of the mansion is being repeated throughout the city," Nami said softly, her tone complex.
"It's ironic that the lives of hundreds of thousands of people have become stepping stones for those ambitious people."
Saeko Busujima gazed into the distance and said softly:
"What a spectacular destruction. I wonder how many worthy opponents there are here."
Zhou Ye ignored their sentiments.
He walked to the edge of the rooftop and looked down.
Downstairs at dormitory building number 6, a dense mass of zombies had gathered, surging like a tide, attempting to rush into the building.
The two newly appeared special zombies stood out among the group of ordinary zombies.
The obese body constantly spews out some kind of liquid, attracting more of its kind.
Meanwhile, the "tank" was frantically pounding its thick arms against the load-bearing wall on the first floor, producing a dull, loud thud.
"Teacher Ju Chuan." Zhou Ye turned around. "We're leaving. Close your eyes."
Shizuka Marikawa was still in a daze when she heard this and her body trembled.
Nami walked up to her, reached out, and gently covered her eyes.
"Jingxiang, don't be afraid, and don't ask any questions. It will be over soon."
Shizuka Marikawa did not resist and obediently closed her eyes.
She had given up thinking and entrusted her fate to this unfathomable man.
Everyone has secrets, and she knew very well that she should never ask questions she shouldn't.
Zhou Ye had a sudden thought.
[Herrscher of Reason Fragment + Mumu Fragment], build begins!
Invisible energy began to gather in the air.
Unbeknownst to Shizuka Marikawa's tightly closed eyes, a completely transparent, crystal-clear slide extended out from the roof of Building 6 where they were, at a gentle and stable angle, precisely connecting to the edge of the roof of Teaching Building 4, dozens of meters away.
Sunlight shines on the slide, refracting a strange halo that is almost impossible to notice unless you look closely.
"What's this?"
Saeko Busujima's beautiful eyes widened as she took two steps around the starting point of the slide and cautiously touched it with her finger.
Hard, cold, yet with a peculiar suppleness.
"A budget version of Doraemon, truly living up to its name." Saeko Busujima chuckled.
Zhou Ye did not explain.
He walked up to Shizuka Marikawa and, without saying a word, swept her up in a princess carry.
Shizuka Marikawa let out a short gasp, her body stiffening.
"Hold me tight," Zhou Ye whispered.
Then, he walked to the entrance of the transparent slide and gently placed Shizuka Marikawa in his arms on it.
"Nami, take her over there first and help her steady."
"Okay...okay, boss!"
Nami snapped out of her daze, nodded quickly, and sat down on the slide, gently supporting Shizuka Marikawa from behind.
Zhou Ye gave it a gentle push.
"what--!"
Shizuka Marikawa felt her body lighten and began to slide downwards. The feeling of weightlessness made her scream.
But the slope of the slide is not steep, and the speed is well controlled, making it feel more like playing in an amusement park.
Nami held her tightly and comforted her in her ear.
Soon, the two figures disappeared at the other end of the slide and appeared on the roof of Building 4.
"Saeko, it's your turn."
Zhou Ye looked at Saeko Busujima.
Excitement flashed in Saeko Busujima's eyes as she sat down without hesitation, even adjusting herself into a comfortable position.
"interesting."
She smiled and slid down on her own.
Next came the mechanical soldiers, who, without any hesitation, slid towards the other side one after another in a standard posture.
In the end, only Zhou Ye was left.
He glanced at the horde of zombies still frantically assaulting the building below, then at the two special infected individuals.
"The game has just begun."
He stepped onto the slide.
Chapter 61 Saving Nanlixiang
On the roof of Building 4, Zhou Ye and his group stood firm.
The transparent slide that appeared out of nowhere vanished without a trace after the last person left.
