Chapter 187 "This is the most beautiful moment of my life... Shut up!"
The corridor was packed with people.
Two policemen deliberately carried Mr. Blair by his already severed arms, dragging him out of the corridor, his screams echoing throughout. This wasn't due to Mr. Blair's weak will; his arms were practically being torn from his body.
Then came the sound of a helicopter landing. Many students stuck their heads out of the classroom windows, discussing the landing aircraft.
"My God! That helicopter is pure gold."
"Wait, is this plane made of pure gold?"
"Is that Mr. Bruce Wayne's car? I thought it was already outrageous that he left the school in a gold-plated stretch Lincoln."
"What? Didn't that tycoon already leave?"
In short, thanks to that helicopter, with its enormous noise and luxurious features, no one, not even the teachers, was in the mood to teach anymore.
It was under these circumstances that Billy Batson walked down the corridor with Chen Tao.
"My God, that's so cool!"
He whispered to Chen Tao, "I don't know how many times I've said this, but we'll be leaving in this helicopter later, right?"
"Um."
"Well, I have to admit, it's quite an exaggeration, Mr. Wayne."
Billy's adoptive father, Victor, muttered from behind:
"I thought 'Let's find a place to talk' meant going to the rooftop to chat, not taking a solid gold plane and flying up into the sky to chat in front of everyone."
The middle-aged man wearing glasses shook his head: "This is just too... shocking for me."
"This is a Sikorsky S-92."
Chen Tao told them, "And it's not pure gold, it's gold-plated."
"It's all the same to me anyway," Billy said enthusiastically. "We're going to walk into this helicopter parked on the playground in front of everyone, right? With you?"
Overly excited, he ran to the back door of a nearby classroom and peeked through the round glass to observe the scene inside. All the students were pressed against the windows, waiting to see the helicopter take off; the whole school was waiting.
Just thinking about it made Billy tremble with excitement.
Perhaps every teenage boy has fantasized about this scene:
On a quiet, boring afternoon, the school is holding a sports meet or some other random event.
Everyone's attention is on the big names, like the school cheerleaders and football players. He's just an unknown nobody in the whole school, quietly eating sandwiches or hamburgers in a corner.
But at that moment, a helicopter suddenly landed on the playground, interrupting the sports meet.
A group of burly men got off, dressed in suits and ties, each wearing dark sunglasses, speaking with a thick Texas accent. They then approached him and said:
"I'm sorry, Mr. Batson, your vacation is over. The nation is calling you, destiny is calling you, and the mission to save the world is calling you."
Then they draped themselves in superhero-like capes, put on his damn sunglasses, and with a swagger and an air of arrogance, he waved his sleeves, flicked his cape, and boarded the helicopter without a trace, leaving all the other idiots in the school bewildered in the wind on the playground.
Even though they were in the hallway, Billy had already started spinning like a top.
"Walk properly." He heard his adoptive father nagging beside him, but he couldn't even be bothered to argue back.
He did two somersaults—real front flips. If he could, Billy even wanted to flip all the way to the end of the corridor, but his physique couldn't handle it, so he stopped, jumped onto a fire extinguisher box next to him, and called out to his adoptive father:
"Hurry up, old man, we have so much to do!"
He stood with his hands on his hips, as if an imaginary cloak was billowing behind him.
"This is simply the best thing that has ever happened to me..."
"Oh my god, shut up!"
Chen Tao pounced on him and pinned him to the ground, desperately covering his mouth.
"Saying things like that could kill someone!"
"Waaaaah..."
Billy was pinned to the ground and struggled incessantly, but he still had a silly grin on his face.
So in the end, Billy didn't get into the helicopter in the cool and awesome way he imagined. Instead, Chen Tao forcibly dragged him inside like a little chick.
Buzzing...
The helicopter slowly rose, and the wind pressure from the propellers created ripples on the grass.
"Oh, welcome aboard the 'Fiji Leisure Resort' helicopter."
As soon as Billy boarded the plane, he saw the pilot's head appear on the screen next to him: "I am your captain, Alfred Pennyworth. Have a pleasant journey, gentlemen."
Chen Tao scratched his head beside him: "I never knew my plane was now called 'Fiji Some Resort'."
He hesitated for a moment before saying, "I remember I named this plane 'The Dawn of Justice'..."
But he was only halfway through his sentence when he met Alfred's disapproving gaze.
"Okay, now it's called the Fiji Resort." Chen Tao nodded immediately.
"So, what exactly happened...?"
Billy Batson's adoptive father, Victor Vasquez, looked out the window and felt his legs go weak and his legs tremble.
The decor here is incredibly luxurious, with animal furs and all sorts of gold ornaments everywhere.
What? Someone says gold is too vulgar?
But gold would be too common if it were everywhere; look here, it's also adorned with all sorts of gemstones...
Chen Tao took a breath.
"Alfred... I remember our plane wasn't that outrageous before."
He said, "I clearly prepared a lot of weapons here, and—"
He lifted the cushion from under his buttocks:
"I remember hiding a piece of krypton here..."
"I've already taken away all that useless stuff, Mr. Wayne."
Alfred's voice came from the front: "After all, you're going on vacation, not to fight. A proper vacation jet needs a sufficiently luxurious interior."
Chen Tao rubbed his forehead and decided not to dwell on the matter anymore.
He turned his head away, ignoring Billy who was rubbing his face against the gem like a foolish monkey, and turned his attention back to his adoptive father.
"Uh, well... Mr. Victor Vasquez, right? I think it's better if he tells you about Billy himself."
Then he turned his head, casually stretched out his hand, and gave Billy, who was still looking around, a sharp rap on the head: "Stop looking, hurry up and show it to your old man..."
"Oh, okay, Mr. Wayne, sand..."
Chen Tao quickly covered Billy's mouth: "Are you crazy! Shouting right inside the plane!"
He felt utterly exhausted. The other person was like a child, making all sorts of unexpected mistakes—well, he really was a child.
"Go outside and call them, otherwise we'll end up like an alligator trying to eat a whole roasted pig, electrocuted until we're charred and tender!"
"What? What lightning? What are you talking about?"
Billy's adoptive father, Victor, was increasingly confused: "Can you guys stop with the riddles?"
"I get it, I get it, Riddler get out of Gotham, I know." Chen Tao hurriedly grabbed Billy: "Hurry up and show your adoptive father a trick."
Then, before Billy's adoptive father, Victor, could react, he flung open the helicopter's hatch, and the high-altitude air pressure rushed in, making a loud whooshing sound.
Adoptive father Victor: "?"
The next second, his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
Chen Tao pushed Billy forward and then kicked the shy-looking boy out of the plane. The boy flew through the air in an arc and fell straight down like a stone.
"Aa ...
Viktor's features instantly rebelled, his mouth opening so wide that even a toad in a pond would be ashamed of itself.
He sprang up from the ground like a toad, letting out a scream like a girl:
"Billy!!!!"
He jumped out of the cabin with Billy, but was pulled back halfway by Chen Tao's outstretched arm.
"You're murdering me, murdering me, my Billy—"
"Shazam!!!!"
With a loud bang.
With a thud.
The adoptive father, Victor, fell to the ground.
He stared blankly at the robust adult in front of him: "You...you..."
"Victor! It's me, Billy! Don't you recognize me?"
Viktor, the adoptive father, stared blankly at him. He turned his head and saw Chen Tao standing there leisurely, taking off his coat and inner shirt, revealing his muscular and lean body.
then……
Then he opened a nearby closet and called out to Alfred, "Alfred, where did you put my Batman costume that I used to keep here?"
"I took it, Mr. Bruce." Then Alfred's voice came from the screen next to him: "There shouldn't be that kind of thing on a vacation plane."
Helpless, Chen Tang activated the Broken Bat transformation, successfully turning into a slightly evil Batman in front of Billy and his adoptive father.
"You're Batman?" Victor, the adoptive father, clutched his head, then looked at Billy again, as if seeking confirmation, and said, "And you're Billy?"
"No, I am Thunder Sand... Billy!"
Billy, hands on his hips with pride, declared, "A complete superhero, just like Superman!"
Victor, the foster father, opened his mouth, but before he could speak, he heard Batman's voice:
"You want to say, 'I will never let Billy participate in superhero operations,' is that it?"
Chen Tao walked up to him and gently placed his hand on Billy's shoulder, who was grinning excitedly.
"The power of magic is not without its price; once you acquire such power, you are destined to bear the corresponding responsibility. Billy, having acquired such power, is also destined to never again live an ordinary life."
"You want Billy to go to high school, get into college, get married, have kids, and find a job like a normal teenager? That's impossible."
Chen Tao said, "No matter how much you want to escape your responsibilities, they will eventually come knocking on your door."
He frowned as he spoke.
This damn thing sounds like it's talking about myself.
So he immediately changed the subject: "Black Adam, the Seven Deadly Sins—by gaining Shazam's power, Billy was destined to become their mortal enemy. You don't want Billy to sit idly by and wait to die, do you?"
The adoptive father, Victor, remained silent.
Even though he didn't understand magic tests, he still knew Batman was right—after all, that was Batman!
"I really didn't expect Batman to be the incredibly wealthy Bruce Wayne." He moved his lips slightly and then said, "Everyone online says that Batman is actually many people."
Chen Tao shrugged.
"Okay," he said finally.
"Well then, I'll put you down first, and then I'll take care of my own business," Chen Tao said. "Billy, I'll give you a contact number; you can reach me through this number. I have some things to assign you to do next. We need to..."
"What do you need? Take me with you!"
Billy excitedly clenched his fist.
"No matter how bad the villain is, I can take them all down for you. My first battle as a superhero, fighting alongside Batman, oh yeah!"
He looked at Chen Tao with expectant eyes.
Chen Tao scratched his head.
"Okay, it's not impossible."
He said.
……
……
……
"Maximize the energy."
"Initiate pulse loop."
Dr. Silas Stone stared at the metal cube in front of him.
He saw the cube of metal struck by the pulse wave tremble slightly, but then return to nothingness.
"Dr. Stone, your son has arrived."
A lab assistant came over and reminded him.
He saw his son, Victor Stone, walking towards him.
"I don't have time now, let's do it again," he said to the person next to him.
"Then we'll make time for it."
"Victor, I'm doing something very important right now," the father said, crossing his arms.
"Is she more important than me?"
The son questioned.
"I didn't say that."
Dr. Stone said that he left the still-vibrating metal cube, gave his assistant an instruction to continue the experiment, and then he and his son went to the side.
The doctor had his back to his son, and Victor's voice sounded behind him.
"Scouts came by today, and they all promised me full scholarships to go to college."
"I told you, I'll pay for your college education, you don't need to worry about scholarships!"
"That's not the point! They think I can become one of the best on my own merits, so why can't you?"
Dr. Stone took a deep breath and turned around abruptly.
"Open your eyes and look, son! Look at the world we live in today. We are witnessing the birth of a whole new superhuman race. Some can fly, tear buildings apart, outrun race cars. They will make everything you can do a piece of cake. In such a world, wouldn't it be a joke to throw a ball and conquer the world?"
Victor Stone stared blankly at his father.
The father and son stared at each other, and the atmosphere fell silent for a moment.
The suffocating atmosphere was broken by another lab assistant who came over.
"Dr. Stone, Batman is here. And he's brought another superhuman with him."
How do you know he's superhuman?
"Uh... he smashed a hole in the door."
