Chapter 114 Jealousy and Being Exposed 1
Chapter 114 Jealousy and Being Exposed 1
As the weather gradually warms up, the little wizards' clothing becomes more diverse, especially those with partners. They dress however they like, however they want to be alluring. But if the person they like is a blockhead, then it's quite pitiful.
"Tsk, Draco, you and Harry need to separate a bit. Why are you always so close?" Emeric plopped down between the two of them. If he's unhappy, no one else should be happy either.
Harry, who had been bumped into, looked bewildered. He hadn't offended anyone, but had acted out of anger. He obediently sat down to the side; if he couldn't afford to offend anyone, he could at least avoid them.
Not to mention Draco was standing next to him, Lily was also staring at him from the teachers' table. Emerick was her darling, the most pitiful child, unloved by his lover and uncared for by his mother.
"Brother Ellie, what brings you to the auditorium for lunch today?"
"Kids shouldn't meddle in adult matters. How's your studying going, you two? Be careful you don't fail the final exams soon!"
"My dad introduced two pretty good witches to the godfather today, did you know that, Ellie?" Draco suddenly dropped a bombshell.
"Uncle Lucius? A witch?"
"The day before yesterday, Mom felt that Godfather was too lonely, so she assigned Dad the task of finding a suitable candidate. Brother Ellie, you didn't know that, did you?"
"Shh, shut your mouth, I have to go." Emeric couldn't eat anymore, pushed back his stool and walked towards the cellar. When he was three minutes away from the cellar, he stopped.
When Severus accepted the ring, he said that everything would be decided when he came of age, and that he was being observed and would be discarded if Severus did not perform well. Although this statement was probably just a man's wicked humor, it was hard to guarantee that it wouldn't come true.
Given Severus's personality, he would definitely refuse those people, but he would feel uncomfortable if he didn't ask. After much agonizing, he finally made up his mind and rushed into the cellar.
"Mimi!!!" Why did you kick me out!
"Huh? How did it turn into a cat?"
Severus grabbed the cat and hugged it to his arms. He hadn't petted a cat in ages since he'd promised this little rascal. Emeric had always said that turning into a cat would affect his image of the cat, but what image did this little rascal have? Wasn't he always just a spoiled brat?
"I don't understand, just pinch my paw pads."
"Meow!!!" I'm angry!!!
"I told you I don't understand, so don't move your feet, I'm going to trim your nails." Having not touched a cat in so long, Severus was a little carried away and locked his arm around the cat's belly.
He patted his belly, rubbed his horns, and pinched his paw pads, having a great time, completely unaware that the toy in his hands had gotten so angry that its face had become rounder and the stubborn fur on its ears had stood on end.
Already a bit angry, Emeric completely lost his temper. When Severus finally had his fill and released the cat, he transformed into a human, sat down across from the desk without saying a word, and picked up a parchment to write on.
Seeing Emeric's sullen expression, Severus, unusually willing to back down, admitted that he had indeed gone a bit too far.
"Alright, I shouldn't have kept bothering you, but you're also at fault. Who told you not to let me pet the cat for so long?"
"Then I forgive you." It was rare to see Severus back down, and Emeric was so happy that he completely forgot about what had happened before.
But Severus soon noticed that Emeric had become unusually clingy. While he had liked to stick close to him before, he had never been like this, following him everywhere. Severus sensed that the little rascal was upset, but he didn't want to talk to him about it.
After holding back for three days, I finally decided to ask Gellert. What if I asked Emeric directly and he felt I suspected him and was unhappy?
Severus made an excuse, saying he needed to report something to Dumbledore, and walked into the headmaster's office in front of him, so that the little rascal wouldn't cling to him and try to follow him.
"You mean he's been very clingy lately? Normal felines go through phases like that. You might find him less clingy in a couple of days."
"No, it's because after Lucius tricked me into going on a blind date, Airi has become a bit too clingy."
"Wait? You're going on a blind date???" Gellert caught the key word, his voice cracking, making Severus's ears hurt. He frowned and took a step back.
"Be normal."
"What's the situation between you and Ellie now? Tell me that first, otherwise I can't answer you."
"Just say you don't want to, why beat around the bush? Like Dumbledore, the older you get, the weirder you talk." After cursing Dumbledore along with him, Severus prepared to turn and leave. He could have just asked Emeric directly.
"Alright, fine, I won't ask, okay? Be kinder to the old man. His two fathers love each other so much that they neglect him. Let me tell you something, and you'll understand after you hear it."
Gellert sighed and continued, "Cavan and Ambrose brought him to see me, but they both forgot about Ellie, leaving him outside the tower. By the time Venda found him the next day, Ellie had been burning in the snow all night, and his magical awakening triggered a magical riot, leaving him covered in blood, with not a single good piece of flesh left."
"It took three days to preserve his magic and life. Those two unreliable people didn't come looking for him during those three days. After he regained consciousness, I thought he would want his fathers and would cry and make a scene, but nothing happened."
Gellert looked up at Severus, his voice pleading, "If you don't love him, then reject him and don't give him hope. If you do love him, then I'm begging you, give him some kind of response."
Severus felt a sharp, tingling pain in his chest as he listened. He wanted to see Emeric right now and comfort the child who had been forgotten in the snow.
"I understand." With that, Severus turned and left the principal's office, heading towards Emerick outside the door. Little Ellie was so well-behaved and adorable; how could Calvin and Ambrose ignore him? He wished he could go back in time and snatch the child away to raise him himself.
"Severus, why are you here so early today? Since it's still early, let's go on a picnic. I brought so much..."
"Why did you suddenly hug me? Did Dumbledore or Gellert bully you? Tell me! I'll go teach them a lesson."
"You're mine, and you won't even let me hug you? And did someone tell me I went on a blind date? If you dare to doubt me, I'm dead." After threatening him, Severus withdrew his hand from Emeric's waist, instead taking Emeric's hand, and the two walked back to the cellar hand in hand.
They never let go of each other's hands except when there were other people around. Emeric was overjoyed, completely unaware that Gellert had exposed all his secrets.
"Come here, let me hug you, don't turn into a cat." Severus, having been sick for a long time, had become a doctor himself. He knew what psychological problems he had, so he could naturally see what Emeric had.
As Ellie was being hugged, a blush spread across her face. The little rascal's innocent look was so amusing; Severus had found another new toy.
