Chapter 337: The Reconstruction of the Universe
Chapter 337: The Reconstruction of the Universe
The judgment of fate was not yet over. Although the forces of darkness had been destroyed, the abyss of the universe seemed to have returned to calm, the stars still twinkled, and the flow of time had resumed its normal course. But Ares, Selna, and Ulysses knew in their hearts that this did not signify true peace. The laws of fate had fundamentally changed, but a new order was still being reshaped.
The three stood in the void, the surrounding space gradually becoming clearer, the light once swallowed by darkness shining again, but they were not entirely at ease. Although the abyss of fate had temporarily closed, they knew that the universe had not returned to its former state. Every time they touched fate, it would trigger a deeper trial.
“We succeeded,” Selna whispered, her eyes filled with complex emotions. “But we have also brought a new order to the universe, an order that… may be even harder to control than the shackles of fate.”
"The shackles of fate? We are no longer its slaves." Ares's tone was firm, his gaze like a sharp blade piercing through the void. "We chose to change it, but not to completely destroy it. The challenge now is not to fight against fate, but to take control of our own future."
"Master the future?" Ulysses sneered. "The laws of this universe have never truly changed; we have merely chosen a new path within its rules."
“You’re wrong.” Ares’s gaze was sharp as he slowly turned around. “We have created new laws. The abyss of fate may not have disappeared, but it is no longer an obstacle we cannot overcome.”
Before they could finish speaking, the three of them sensed an unfamiliar fluctuation. Although this fluctuation was much milder than the previous darkness, it still carried an undeniable sense of oppression, as if another force in the universe was quietly awakening.
“What is this?” Selna’s expression changed. “We thought we had changed our fate, but it seems that new challenges are still waiting for us.”
“This is the echo of destiny,” Ares said in a deep voice. “Every change triggers a reaction from the laws deep within the universe. We cannot turn back; only by moving forward can we truly control the future.”
As the fluctuations intensified, cracks reappeared in the void, flickering with an unknown light. These lights were not the twinkling of stars, but rather intense energy fluctuations from the depths of the universe. The edges of the cracks emanated an unsettling aura, as if threatening to tear apart the laws of the entire universe and reshape a new order.
Ares took a deep breath, his eyes resolute: "This is a new trial of fate, representing a re-examination of the future of the universe. We have changed the past, but the road ahead will not be smooth."
Selna gripped her lightsaber tightly, her gaze sharp: "We have never stopped moving forward, but every trial that appears is a test of our choices. Can we overcome this challenge?"
“We are not afraid of challenges.” Ulysses’ eyes gleamed with a fighting spirit. “All the constraints of fate can no longer restrain us.”
Just then, the light suddenly surged, the crack in the void rapidly widened, and a powerful force of attraction surged toward the three. The entire space seemed to instantly lose its balance; everything around them began to spin rapidly—stars, light, time, all the laws of nature began to crumble.
A flicker of shock crossed Ares's eyes, but he quickly regained his composure: "This is the ultimate test of fate, and we must overcome it all and face it head-on."
The force grew stronger and stronger, almost overwhelming the three of them. Space began to distort, and the rules of spacetime blurred once more, as if the entire universe was being reconstructed. Selna felt her body being pulled towards the abyss by an invisible force, while Ulysses was enveloped by an intense sense of mental oppression.
“This power…is beyond our imagination,” Selna said softly. “The challenges we faced before seem incomparable to this trial.”
“We have no choice but to back down.” Ares’s eyes were resolute, and the sword in his hand gleamed once more. “We will face this trial and surpass it.”
The dark light grew stronger, threatening to engulf them completely. The powers of Ares, Selna, and Ulysses began to converge, all the energy from their swords, guns, and lightsabers coalescing into a dazzling pillar of light that shot directly towards the source of the attraction. The three forces merged into a massive shockwave, like a force tearing through space and time, aimed directly at the core of destiny.
However, the power of the abyss was not broken; instead, it became even more concentrated. It was like the foundation of the universe itself, absorbing any force that attempted to break through it. Even the attacks of the three were instantly dissipated upon contact with that darkness.
“What…what is this?” Selna’s voice was filled with shock. “All our power is unable to break through this power.”
“It is the essence of fate,” Ares said softly, his gaze fixed on its source through the dark light. “Only by transcending fate can we break free from all of this.”
He swung his sword fiercely, and golden sword light erupted once more. Sword energy surged from his body, directly rushing towards the core of that darkness. This time, Ares no longer relied on mere brute force, but instead fused his will with the sword energy, attempting to break free from the shackles of fate through the power of his mind.
"Serna, Ulysses, come with me!" Ares's voice resounded through the void like thunder, and the three of them merged their powers once again, like a bolt of lightning striking the source of darkness.
The dark power began to tremble violently, as if struck by an irresistible force. The cracks in the void began to heal, and light gradually swallowed the darkness, but this was not the end of victory; the abyss of fate had not yet completely disappeared.
“This power is still there.” Selna’s voice was low, and a hint of unease flashed in her eyes. “Although we have broken its external form, it is still deeply hidden in the foundation of the universe.”
Ares's gaze was resolute: "It will never disappear; the power of fate itself cannot be destroyed. But we can choose how to face it."
As darkness dissipated, the light of the universe returned. Stars reignited, rifts in the void healed completely, timelines began to stabilize, and order gradually returned to the universe. However, Ares knew this was not the end of fate, but a new beginning. They had touched the essence of destiny, but the true test had only just begun.
“We have broken its outer shell, but it still lies deep within the universe,” Ares said in a deep voice, his gaze sharp as a knife. “The judgment of fate may never disappear, but we can redefine it and create our own future.”
Selna and Ulysses nodded silently, their eyes shining with unwavering determination. "We have created a new universe," Selna said softly. "A new destiny belongs to us."
“Fate is no longer a shackle.” Ulysses’s eyes were as hard as steel. “It is the power we have chosen, the new laws, the new challenges.”
The three walked forward side by side, the future of the universe unfolding in their hands. The abyss of fate had not completely disappeared, but it was no longer an obstacle standing in their way. A new universe, a new order, awaited their creation and shaping.
