Chapter 88 The Low-Key Tycoon! A Visit to the Fire Dragon!
Chapter 88 The Low-Key Tycoon! A Visit to the Fire Dragon!
"No problem! I'll get Aragog to help! Once Professor Dumbledore and you have set a time, we'll go to the Forbidden Forest together!"
Hagrid agreed without hesitation, without thinking too deeply about it, and unconditionally supported the plan that Dumbledore and Dudley were involved in.
“What are the other two things?” Hagrid asked again.
"The remaining two matters are my personal affairs, and I need your help, Hagrid!"
"No problem! I'd be happy to help my friend!"
In their question-and-answer exchange, Dudley and Hagrid seemed to have reached some kind of unequal agreement.
Dali stood up and moved very nimbly.
He looked around the furnishings of Hagrid's hut, walked to a corner, picked up a dirty blanket, dusted it off to reveal its white undercoat, and asked:
"what is this?"
"A dirty blanket? Is there a problem?" Hagrid asked, puzzled.
"I'm asking, what is this blanket made of?"
Dudley pressed on, knowing that Hagrid wasn't just showing off; he genuinely didn't consider the treasure a trinket.
"Oh! You're asking about that! It's made from unicorn fur," Hagrid replied, suddenly realizing.
"How about this?" Dali picked up a large string of dusty gray ornaments from the wall.
Hagrid got into the zone and answered directly, "Those are the hooves I trimmed for the centaurs, which I used to make little toys."
"What about this bed sheet?"
"Woven from the silk spun by the eight-eyed giant spider."
"And this little broom?"
"The short stalk is the horn left behind by a unicorn that died of natural causes, and the hairs at the front are the tail hairs of a Thestral."
"And this little brush?"
“That’s made of the stiff downy hairs from Aragog’s feet.”
"..."
About twenty minutes later, Dudley, with the help of the system's identification function, discovered dozens of unremarkable everyday items made from materials from magical creatures in Hagrid's hut, and collected them all.
This left Hagrid somewhat puzzled: "Dudley, why did you gather all these things together? They're all just small, useless things."
"Not very useful?!?"
Dudley immediately raised his voice, "My silly Hagrid! If those wizards who play with potions, alchemy, and wand-making see you little things, they'll beat you to a pulp!"
If you sell these, you can easily get at least a few hundred thousand Galleons.
"How much?! How much did you say?!"
Hagrid was also shocked. "So I sold it too cheaply before? The dark wizard from Knockturn Alley really is no good!"
"You're still selling it cheaply?!"
Dali was in so much pain that he couldn't breathe. He had to take several deep breaths to catch his breath.
"I did sell some to earn some pocket money, but not many. I didn't collect these things on purpose; there are plenty in the Forbidden Forest. If you want more, I can collect more later."
Hagrid appeared very calm, like a super-rich man who had returned to simplicity.
"That's great! You should collect more for me in the future; I'll need them very much."
Dudley, with his thick skin, didn't stand on ceremony with Hagrid at all. "In addition, I need wood that can be used to make wand blades. In the Forbidden Forest, keep an eye out for trees with Bowtruckles growing on them; those trees can be used to make wands."
"No problem! Leave it to me! Making a wand doesn't require much wood. I'll cut some thick branches from big trees for you, and you can make as many wands as you want."
Hagrid was incredibly generous; the Forbidden Forest was his private domain. As long as it didn't endanger the lives of magical creatures, he could have as much material as he wanted.
Dudley was very satisfied and immediately reached out and drew a large circle in the air to open the spatial passage of his personal space.
He first took out a gold nugget from his personal storage space and handed it to Hagrid, then took all the valuables from Hagrid's house.
"Dullie, what are you doing? I don't want your gold. Dumbledore has given me a lot of Galleons recently, I don't need the money," Hagrid said, declining.
"Take it, Hagrid! This piece of gold is far less valuable than what you've given me. Use it to buy a new set of furniture in Diagon Alley!"
When he had plenty of money, Dudley wasn't one to shirk his responsibilities. If it weren't for the fact that he had only acquired his pure gold conversion technique a little over a month ago and hadn't accumulated too much gold, he would have planned to give Hagrid a few more large gold nuggets!
We can add more gold later when we have more!
Dudley silently pondered the matter, and Hagrid reluctantly accepted Dudley's kindness, beginning to ask Dudley the last thing he wanted to say.
"The last thing is this: I need you to go to a place today and retrieve a magic wand for me. Just go and come back quickly, and don't ask any other questions. This matter is of great importance."
Dudley, with a serious expression, assigned the task of retrieving Voldemort's wand to Hagrid. This was a purely errand-running job, and as long as nothing went wrong along the way, there would be absolutely no danger. It was just right for Hagrid to do it.
At Hogwarts, the people he trusts most, besides Harry, are Hagrid, and even Dumbledore has to take a backseat.
He trusted Hagrid to handle this matter.
……
After discussing the matter, Dudley and Hagrid left the stone hut and headed together to the dragon house that Hagrid had built.
seeing is believing.
Dudley wanted to see what kind of creatures the Gringotts goblins had sent him.
Dragon House wasn't too far from Hagrid's hut. After walking a few steps, you could see a semi-open stone fortress in the distance, emitting faint black smoke, which was twice the size of Hagrid's own hut.
"Bron! Nori! I've come to see you!"
Hagrid called out twice from afar; he had already renamed the two fire dragons, and now he was calling out with unusual enthusiasm.
In response to Hagrid's call, two weak, low dragon roars echoed from the dragon's lair.
To Dali, those two dragon roars were barely better than a leopard's howl, quite degrading.
After a while, the two finally arrived inside the Dragon House.
Dudley saw for the first time the Gringotts goblins' compensation to him: two listless, old and weak Norwegian Spinosaurus lying lazily on the ground.
"These cunning and treacherous merchants! They only dared to cut off these two pieces of flesh when they had a knife to their throats!"
Dudley raised his hand to cast the Iron Armor Charm on himself, and brazenly approached the fire dragon, which was firmly chained to the semi-open compartment of the dragon's den.
"Dali, be careful!" Hagrid quickly followed and reminded him.
"It's alright, I know what I'm doing!"
