Chapter 106 Loki's Submission
Chapter 106 Loki's Submission
Loki abruptly raised his head. Why was Shendu calling him in this situation? What did he want? Seeing that the other party was just an ordinary person and posed no threat to him, Malekith was already under Shendu's control, and Thor showed signs of being controlled by the Mind Stone, Loki was now the only outsider.
"Come here," the Holy Lord said calmly.
Loki took a deep breath, suppressed his fear, and flew toward the Holy Lord.
"Master." Loki lowered his head and addressed the Holy Lord in this title for the first time.
This was not God's request, but Loki's own choice. He knew very well that he had no power to resist God. Rather than becoming God's puppet like Malekith, he would rather submit willingly, at least in this way he could retain his own will.
The Holy Lord looked at Loki kneeling, a slight smile playing on his lips: "A wise choice."
Loki's lips twitched, but he didn't say anything.
At the center of the convergence of celestial bodies, Thor, holding Jane, floated amidst the interwoven light of the nine realms.
Jane's face was still pale, but her breathing had become steady. Her bodily functions were slowly recovering after the ether particles were removed, and her life force was returning to her body bit by bit.
"Jane, how are you feeling?" Thor asked softly.
Jane opened her eyes and forced a smile: "It's much better than before... I'm still tired... but at least I don't feel as bad."
Thor breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing Jane's words, and gripped Jane's hand tightly. Suddenly, the aura of the Holy Lord appeared behind him.
Thor looked up and saw Shendu flying towards him, with Wanda and Loki following behind him. At the very back of the group was an unexpected figure: Malekith.
Thor's pupils contracted slightly, and he gripped Mjolnir tightly, instinctively shielding Jane behind him.
"Lord!" Thor cried, "Malikis is behind you!"
The Holy Lord stopped in front of Thor and looked at him calmly: "I know."
"You know?" Thor paused, then asked, "What do you mean?"
The Lord did not answer Thor; instead, he raised his hand and gestured to Malekith.
Malekith flew to the Holy Lord's side and knelt on one knee: "Master."
Thor's eyes widened as he looked at the Holy Lord and then at Malekith, his face filled with disbelief.
"You...you controlled him?" Thor asked tentatively.
The Holy Lord did not deny it: "Yes, the power of the Mind Stone is far greater than you imagine."
Thor fell silent. He looked into Malekith's eyes, a complex emotion welling up inside him. Malekith was his enemy, but now this once-powerful adversary had become a puppet. Thor felt not the satisfaction of revenge, but a sense of fear.
If the Holy Lord can do this to Malekith, he can do this to others as well.
The thought flashed through Thor's mind, but he quickly suppressed it. If the Holy Lord really wanted to do that, he wouldn't have such a thought.
Thor looked at Malekith and said, "You did the right thing. Malekith is too dangerous. We can't let him continue to do evil."
Looking at Thor's complex expression, the power of the Mind Stone flashed in his eyes: "It's good that you understand."
The Holy Lord turned to look at the center of the celestial convergence. The intertwined light of the nine realms was slowly separating, and the celestial convergence was about to end.
"It's time to go back," the Holy Lord said calmly. "Odin is still waiting for us."
Asgard, the Golden Palace.
Odin sat on his throne, the Spear of Eternity gripped tightly in his hand, his single eye fixed on the entrance to the Golden Palace, his face expressionless, lost in thought.
Frigga stood beside Odin, her face filled with worry: "They will come back."
Odin did not answer.
No sooner had Frigga finished speaking than the door to the Golden Palace was pushed open.
Thor was the first to enter, Mjolnir at his waist. Jane was in his arms; her face was still pale, but she was now conscious. She looked at the decorations and ancient murals in the hall, her eyes filled with curiosity and awe.
Wanda sensed Thor behind her, and the chaotic magic danced between her fingers as she warily scanned everyone present.
Loki was the third to walk in, still sporting his signature smile, though now there was a hint of barely perceptible tension on his face.
The Holy Lord entered the main hall last, followed by a dark elf named Malekith.
The guards in the hall immediately raised their spears and pointed them at Malekith, while several others drew their swords and stood in front of Odin.
"Protect the Father of the Gods!" the guard shouted.
"Stop!" The Holy Lord's majestic voice echoed throughout the hall. "He will not harm anyone now."
The guards did not lower their weapons; their eyes were all fixed on Odin.
Odin stared at Malekith, the tip of the Spear of Eternity glowing faintly: "Lord!"
Odin's voice was deep and cold: "You brought a dark elf into the Golden Palace. I need an explanation."
The Holy Lord walked to the center of the hall, and Malekith followed behind him like a shadow.
The Lord's emotionless voice rang out: "Malikis is now my slave. He is no longer the leader of the Dark Elves and poses no threat to Asgard."
As soon as the Holy Lord finished speaking, the hall erupted in uproar. The nobles whispered among themselves, their faces filled with disbelief. He had controlled Malekith? Controlled the leader of the Dark Elves? He had accomplished something even Odin couldn't!
Odin narrowed his single eye slightly, his gaze sweeping back and forth between the Holy Lord and Malekith: "Let me see." Odin stepped down from his throne and walked towards Malekith.
The guards tried to stop them, but Odin raised his hand to stop them.
Odin walked up to Malekith, staring into his eyes with his one eye. Malekith's eyes were empty and devoid of any light.
"Malekith," Odin called his name.
Malekith did not react.
"Kneel down," the Holy Lord said calmly.
Malekith immediately knelt down and bowed his head.
Odin's breathing became heavier; in all his life, he had never seen anyone control another person's will in such a way.
Odin returned to his throne and sat down, this time with a dangerous low growl emanating from the Spear of Eternity beside him.
"The celestial convergence is over!" Odin's voice echoed throughout the hall. "The Aether has been extracted, Malekith is under control, and we have won this war!"
Cheers erupted in the hall; nobles raised their glasses, warriors pounded their shields in celebration, and shouts of joy echoed throughout the hall.
Unlike the others, Odin's face was expressionless, as if the victory in the war could not bring him any joy. His single eye was fixed on the Holy Lord, with an unyielding complexity in his eyes.
The celebration continued late into the night.
Inside the Golden Palace, long tables were laden with fine wine and delicacies. The nobles of Asgard were drinking and celebrating their hard-won victory. Thor stood among the crowd, recounting his battle in the Void. Jane was seated in the VIP section of the hall, with Frigga sitting beside her, personally telling her about the customs and culture of Asgard.
