"cough……"
Matsuda almost burst out laughing at the funny face.
Fortunately, as a criminal police officer, he had received specialized training and managed to suppress his laughter.
"Pose that pose again!"
Inspector Matsumoto looked at Matsuda and suddenly said.
"Yes!"
Although Matsuda was a little confused, he still followed the instructions and struck a few more classic bodybuilding poses.
Inspector Matsumoto nodded repeatedly as he watched.
"Strong muscles, unwavering will, and a sharp mind—what a fine Showa man!"
With that, Inspector Matsumoto sighed.
"I don't know what got into that girl. Instead of choosing you, who's full of masculinity, she insisted on picking a sissy. That shrew is so weak, what kind of man is he!"
"Damn it! My little lily is going to marry that pretty boy tomorrow!"
Inspector Matsumoto suddenly slammed his fist on the table in anger.
"Matsuda, I order you to ruin tomorrow's wedding! You must snatch Sayuri away from that sissy!"
"Pfft..."
Suppressed laughter echoed through the office.
No one expected that even though his daughter was getting married tomorrow, Inspector Matsumoto still refused to approve of his son-in-law.
"Well, this is Matsumoto's private matter after all. I think her boyfriend must have some outstanding qualities," Matsuda replied awkwardly.
Previously, Inspector Matsumoto had tricked Matsuda into going on a blind date with his daughter.
Unexpectedly, even now that his daughter is about to get married, Inspector Matsumoto still refuses to give up.
"Oh, forget it,"
Inspector Matsumoto waved his hand, then turned and walked out of the office, looking rather dejected.
As he approached the door, he gave instructions to everyone in the office.
"My daughter is getting married tomorrow. Anyone who has time should go and join in the fun. Let that girl see what a real man with backbone looks like!"
"Yes!"
The numerous detectives in the office responded loudly in unison.
"Especially you, Matsuda, you absolutely must dress smartly tomorrow! Maybe that girl will change her mind..."
Inspector Matsumoto muttered to himself as he walked out of the office.
"What do you mean by dressing up nicely tomorrow? When am I not handsome?"
Matsuda took sunglasses out of his desk, put them on, and then looked in the mirror next to him.
Sure enough, I really am incredibly handsome!

Chapter 46 My 2D Girlfriend Still Smells Good
the next day,
When the daughter of the head of Division 1 got married, all the detectives from Division 1 who could spare the time, regardless of whether they were available or not, naturally rushed over to join in the fun.
Matsuda sat in Sato's red Mazda, arriving at the wedding venue with the First Division's convoy.
After Inspector Megure and everyone else got out of the car, he led the First Division to see Inspector Matsumoto.
At the wedding, many high-ranking officials from the Metropolitan Police Department also came to congratulate Superintendent Matsumoto, such as Toshiro Odagiri, the head of the Criminal Investigation Department.
When Megure led everyone inside, Chief Odagiri was talking to Inspector Matsumoto.
“Alright, your men are all here,” Minister Odagiri said with a smile. “Let them go and meet the bride first, so that all of us can share in her joy.”
"Yes."
Inspector Matsumoto nodded seriously, then led the way, guiding the entire squad toward the room where the bride was staying.
"The rooms here are all beautifully decorated,"
Sato looked at the floral decorations around her, and her girlish heart was overflowing for once.
"Miwako, if you agree, we can have our wedding here next month—no, tomorrow!"
Shiratori smoothed his hair, stood in front of Sato, and looked smug.
"Oh, little bird, it's time to wake up from your dream!"
Matsuda patted Shiratori on the shoulder, then, right in front of all the detectives in the First Division, took Sato's hand and walked behind Megure.
"Damn it," Shiratori gritted his teeth, "Matsuda, you bastard, you're showing off again!"
"I will never give up until you and Sato get married!"
"That's right, we won't give up either!"
A large group of single middle-aged men in the class shouted in unison.
"And another thing, my name is Shiratori! Not Little Bird!" Shiratori snapped, only then realizing what had happened.
"Takagi, actually I suggest you give up,"
Chiba saw his friend joining in the fun and couldn't help but advise him.
"You already know about Officer Matsuda and Officer Sato's situation, don't you? Officer Matsuda was in a coma for three years, and Officer Sato never gave up on him. Now that Officer Matsuda has woken up, it's probably even less likely that the two of them will separate."
"What? I've never had those kinds of thoughts about Officer Sato..."
Takagi quickly waved his hand with an awkward smile to explain, but his insincere manner made it clear to anyone what he was really thinking.
Sigh, Chiba couldn't help but let out a sigh.
He took out a figurine of a beautiful girl from his pocket and stroked it affectionately with his hand.
I really don't understand these people. What's so great about women in the real world?
Even Officer Sato is fierce, but our waifu from the world of anime is still the best!
……
Inspector Matsumoto pushed open the door to the room where the bride was, pointed to the woman in the middle who was wearing a wedding dress and looked very beautiful, and introduced her.
"This is my daughter, Matsumoto Sayuri."
"Hello everyone."
Ms. Matsumoto greeted them politely, and then noticed Matsuda in the crowd.
"Officer Matsuda, you're here too?"
"Yes, we meet again," Matsuda replied with a smile.
"You know her?" Sato asked, puzzled.
“Hehe, actually it was all because my dad was being silly last time,” Matsumoto Sayuri explained with a laugh. “He tricked me and Officer Matsuda into going on a blind date.”
"Huh? How come I didn't know about this?" Sato glanced at Matsuda sideways.
"I already said it was just a misunderstanding,"
Matsuda quickly explained in a low voice, "Ms. Matsumoto already had a boyfriend at the time, and I had you too, so in the end, we just had a regular meal together."
Upon hearing Matsuda mention him, Sato recalled how Matsuda had taken his hand in front of everyone, and his expression immediately became somewhat awkward.
"In that case, let's just let it go this time..."
Matsuda was about to try and coax her again when his gaze suddenly fell on the three people beside him, and his expression froze.
"Kid, what are you doing here?"
"Actually, Ms. Matsumoto, who is getting married today, is my and Sonoko's junior high school teacher," Ran explained with a smile. "Conan insisted on coming along, so I brought him too."
"Sigh, with this brat around, it seems Inspector Matsumoto's wish is going to come true today." Matsuda said with a helpless expression.
"What is Daddy's wish?" Matsumoto Sayuri asked curiously.
"He hopes today's wedding will be canceled,"
Matsuda shrugged. Anyway, everyone already knew that Inspector Matsumoto didn't like his son-in-law, so there was no need to hide it.
"Damn it! Dad!"
Matsumoto Koshiro immediately complained to Inspector Matsumoto, clearly dissatisfied.
Conan retorted angrily, "I'm not a jinx!"
"Today is Matsumoto-san's wedding day, you're not allowed to say anything unlucky!" Sato pulled Matsuda aside.
Inspector Matsumoto glared, his face cold: "Hmph, those effeminate men are nowhere near as good as the young men in our First Division!"
"Dad!" Matsumoto Sayuri glared back angrily.
The father and daughter stared at each other for a long time, and finally Inspector Matsumoto gave in first and admitted defeat.
"You may all leave," Inspector Matsumoto instructed the officers of the First Division.
Matsuda and Sato were about to leave when Inspector Matsumoto suddenly spoke.
"Matsuda, you stay here! Didn't you just say something might happen? Well then, you stay here and keep an eye on Sayuri!"
"Yes," Matsuda replied helplessly.
"Dad, you still haven't told me how I look in my outfit today?"
Matsumoto Sayuri twirled around in her wedding dress, looking at her father expectantly.
"Hmph, far inferior to your deceased mother!" Inspector Matsumoto replied insincerely.
"Tsk, another doting father."
Matsuda watched Inspector Matsumoto's departing figure and sighed softly.
