Chapter 1146: So Bold
Chapter 1146: So Bold
She kissed cautiously and nervously, like a thief, fearing that Ryan Walyon would wake up and catch her in the act.
She tried kissing him once, seeing that Ryan still kept his eyes tightly shut without any sign of waking, Ariella Sawyer leaned down and kissed his lips again.
After trying several times, her courage gradually grew.
With her lips pressed to his, she mustered the bravery to gently bite his lip.
Ryan Walyon remained quietly slumped in the chair, his lashes resting without any reaction.
As Ariella Sawyer continued kissing his lips, an indescribable bitterness suddenly welled up inside her.
She only dared to do this when he was drunk...
The only thing Ariella dared to do was steal kisses.
She didn’t dare to do anything beyond that.
After kissing his lips for a good while, Ariella lifted her face, opened the car door, and sat in the front driver’s seat.
Starting the car, just as she was about to leave, the man’s closed eyes suddenly opened behind her...
Ariella didn’t notice, fastened her seatbelt, and focused on driving.
She had been to the Walyon Family home before and wasn’t unfamiliar with the route.
She skillfully drove the car to the Walyon Family mansion, intending to hand Ryan Walyon over to the guard at the gate and leave when, unexpectedly, the voice of Old Master Walyon came from the garden, "Now you’ve reached the doorstep, aren’t you coming in?"
His voice carried a natural authority, impossible to resist just by hearing it.
Ariella stiffly looked in his direction, helplessly aiding Ryan Walyon into the house.
"Drinking again?" The Old Master glared at Ryan Walyon, who reeked of alcohol, with a dark expression.
"Sir, Jimmy Evans had a business gathering tonight and was toasted by a few business associates." Ariella helped explain.
She didn’t dare mention the times Ryan drank on his own accord when no one was toasting him.
She was even more reluctant to bring up Summer Sutton.
The Old Master, though still displeased, didn’t object as much given it was due to business socializing.
"Take him to his room first," he gestured for Ariella to escort him to the separate courtyard.
"Then I’ll be on my way." Ariella supported Ryan Walyon and continued toward his private quarters.
She had been to Ryan’s private residence before.
The Walyon Family was so large, yet even with only one or two visits, Ariella didn’t get lost.
Leading him to the garden gate, she rummaged through his belongings for the key, opened the door, and placed him on the sofa.
Pulling a thin blanket over him from the sofa, Ariella had no intention of lingering in the room, stood up, and headed outside the courtyard.
After she left, the man lying on the sofa opened his eyes once more.
Staring at the direction she exited, Ryan Walyon silently watched for a long time.
He thought, given her boldness in the car, she might do something again once they were back home.
Unexpectedly, she left so decisively.
So, indeed, she was different from other women.
Even though Ryan Walyon had no feelings for Ariella, being with her truly meant no concern for any troubles she could cause.
In contrast, when with Ariella, there was a subtle sense of comfort...
After Ariella left, she intended to depart directly but was surprised to find Old Master Walyon waiting outside the courtyard.
"It’s so late, where is a young girl going?" he asked coldly.
"Sir, I was planning to head home," Ariella replied truthfully.
"Going home at this hour? Just stay over tonight!" The Old Master tossed her a line, turned around, and left.
