Chapter 360 Super Girl

Chapter 360 Super Girl

Connors has not yet touched the "Observers" trapped inside the Cosmic Cube.

Having understood the White Queen and ended the banquet, Connors had to bid them farewell and return to Earth-3 through the "Explosion Passage".

Without lingering on Earth-3, Connors flew directly toward the cosmic coordinates Superman had given him.

Not only was "Lord Superman" Clark thinking about his fellow Kryptonians, but Connors was also quite curious about whether Zod's remaining followers had not been wiped out, or if it was really "Supergirl" Kara.

He was incredibly fast; with the help of the "Omega Effect" and the "Mother Box," Connors arrived at the coordinates in just a few breaths.

This is a star system with a red sun, and the only planet with life is smaller than Earth.

Connors drilled into the planet's atmosphere from space, and his "telepathy" immediately went into full force.

"The level of civilization development on this planet is very backward, probably at the level before the Industrial Revolution."

He landed on the ground and slowly walked into a tavern. The "adaptive translation" ability allowed Connors to instantly learn their language.

"The sun in this star system is red, so why would Kryptonians specifically choose to go to a place that weakens them?"

Without needing the newly acquired "Light Manipulation" reward, Connors knew from the red sky outside the window that it wasn't a sunset.

It is the real Red Sun.

However, he had already discovered the Kryptonian's presence, and Connors did not intend to alert him, but instead planned to observe him for a while.

The intelligent life on this planet looks almost exactly like humans, and there are quite a few big guys who are shirtless, drinking and joking around.

Connors plopped down next to the Kryptonian who was completely covered up. The man was drinking with his head down, and Connors didn't even look up when he sat down.

Connors looked at the other person curiously for a moment, then asked the bartender for a drink in the local language.

His "telepathy" was only superficial, merely confirming the other party's Kryptonian identity without delving deeper, fearing it would alert the other party and contradict his original intention of secretly observing them.

Sitting at the table next to him was a burly man with his upper body bare, a head taller than Connors, like a small giant.

He was drinking heavily from his wine glass, while a thin young girl knelt on one knee at his feet, holding a long sword in both hands.

"You've crossed the plains to get here, do you need someone to help you with something?" the burly man asked with a sidelong glance at the kneeling girl.

My prices aren't cheap.

"I didn't come to you because you're cheap," the girl said, holding the longsword.

Connors quietly spat out the sip of wine he had just taken, listening to the conversation between the two men, which was very easy to misunderstand.

The Kryptonian sitting at the same table as him kept his head down, as if he wanted to bury his head under the table.

From Connors's perspective, all he could see was the other person's fair chin and a slight hint of a beautifully curved jawline.

"Sir, a kind person told me that you are the most ruthless bounty hunter here, and I need a ruthless man."

The girl remained kneeling on one knee.

"Sit down and talk, have a couple of drinks, and tell me what you want me to do?" The burly man didn't look as ruthless as the girl had described; instead, he seemed rather simple and honest.

"I need you to help me kill a man named Krim. He used this sword to kill my father, and I want revenge."

The girl sat down on the table, her hands still holding the longsword.

The longsword looked very sharp and didn't attract much attention from Connors, but the big man's gaze lingered on it for almost half the time, which was enough to show that this sword was a decent weapon on this planet.

"This sword is very valuable. On my way here from home, many skilled blacksmiths and swordsmen I passed by offered me exorbitant prices."

The girl seemed to have been hungry for some time; her voice was very weak, but her tone was incredibly firm, and her eyes were filled with a desire for revenge. The burly man took the longsword from the girl's hand and examined it carefully, looking somewhat reluctant to part with it, saying:

"Krim? He's a member of the royal guard in this country."

"More money, more money," Connors muttered to himself.

The girl's stomach rumbled, but she didn't even glance at the remaining food on the table, staring intently at the burly man as she said:

"I will only give you this sword after I have seen Krim die with my own eyes. Whether you are satisfied or not, I hope you can give me an answer as soon as possible."

"Every second that Krim lived was excruciating for me, like a wound that would never heal. I couldn't wait to see his body."

Connors glanced at the Kryptonian who kept his head down.

The hatred for the murderer of one's father is irreconcilable. If this Kryptonian suddenly popped up and said something like "put aside hatred" or "forgive the enemy," Connors would immediately turn around and leave.

But the Kryptonian didn't move, and neither did Connors. Instead, the burly man stood up, showing no intention of returning the longsword to the girl.

"I will kill him, but I will also take this longsword with me."

"You can go home now, because your wounds are about to be healed by a famous bounty hunter."

The guy turned and left.

Snapped!

The girl slammed her hand on the table, making the wine glass bounce.

"Halt! I already said I must see Krim's body before I can give you the sword. Give it back to me!"

The burly man glanced at the girl casually, sizing her up and down.

"Judging from your speech, you are one of the most well-educated young people in the kingdom."

"But I'm here to teach you a very important lesson that your teachers won't teach you."

The guy's last sentence was so long and tedious that Connors couldn't help but mutter the Chinese proverb "A man is innocent, but he is guilty of possessing a treasure" into the language of this planet.

The reason why the girl with such a long sword was able to find this bounty hunter was partly because the sword was always in her hand, and she could draw it at any time to kill the treacherous guy.

But at this point, in order to get the bounty hunters to help her deal with her enemies, she had offered up the sword with both hands, and now getting it back would be as difficult as climbing to heaven.

The girl clearly didn't understand any of this; she reached out to snatch it back, but the bounty hunter slapped her to the ground.

"Now you can stay here and wait for news of that royal guard member's death."

The man, who stood up straight and whose head almost touched the top of the tavern, walked toward the door, but at that moment the Kryptonian sitting at the same table as Connors looked up.

The first thing Connors saw was a pair of bright blue eyes, and a strand of blond hair that had escaped from the hood and hung down to one side of the face, before he saw the other person's youthful and energetic face.

She is Carla Zoel from "Supergirl".
