Chapter 327 Trident
A series of powerful punches landed on the stone man, but apart from being knocked around in the water, he seemed to be unharmed.
Connors was stunned, not because he was shocked by Namor's fist, but simply because he was intimidated by the guy's somewhat chuunibyou-esque name for his move.
Upon noticing the "White Queen," Connors focused his attention on what was in front of him, causing Emma to let out a cry of pain.
Storm, who had been waiting with her eyes closed for a long time, realized that Connors hadn't come in at all, so she had no choice but to slither over like a beautiful snake and wrap herself around Connors.
"I'm starting to get tired of you, Stone Man."
Namor, the "Lord of the Seven Seas," unleashed a full set of "Soul-Stealing Overlord Fist," leaving the stone man completely unharmed. He couldn't help but show a look of disgust on his face as he spoke.
The two were now far from Krakoa Island, and they had long since lost track of how far they had wandered underwater, how far they were from the coastline, and how deep the water was.
The stone man only knew that he was near an underwater volcano.
"An underwater volcano?" The stone man chuckled to himself, watching the bubbling steam rising from the crater. "Using minerals filled with high temperatures to deliver a fatal blow, Namor, how did you even come up with that idea?"
The "Stone Man's" physical abilities allowed him to completely ignore the water pressure and temperature here. He simply stood curiously at the crater, intending to see what Namor was planning to do.
"Stone Man, if you just tell me whether the Invisible Woman Susan is also involved in the battle, and where she is hiding, Namor will surely have mercy on you and let you go."
Namo floated in the seawater and looked at the "stone man" standing in the crater.
"Namor, when will your poor little brain understand that none of the Fantastic Four will marry you?" the Thing said disdainfully.
The Invisible Woman, as Reed's fiancée, is always coveted by Namor, a fact that the Thing is already used to.
“So I suggest,” Namor said dismissively, not really expecting the Stone Man to tell him the whereabouts of “Invisible Woman” Susan.
But the "Stone Man" had a strange expression on his face, and his gaze was not on Namor, but rather on the deep sea behind him:
"Um, Namo, so you already had a wife? And it seems your wife isn't too happy about your infidelity."
Namo turned around and saw a gaping maw, big enough to fill a hundred of him, lunging at him, its densely packed sharp teeth still covered with bits of flesh.
This is a huge monster from the deep sea. It is blood red all over, has no scales, and its body surface is covered with a sticky and slippery mucus. It looks like a deep-sea fish and does not have any terrifying organs such as tentacles.
But its size was so enormous that even Namor, the ruler of the ocean, was somewhat terrified.
"You're really got a lot of scandals, aren't you?" The stone man chuckled maliciously as he watched Namor being targeted by the deep-sea monster.
Namor turned to the stone man, smiled at him, and then suddenly reached out and grabbed the giant deep-sea monster's tooth, flipping himself onto its back.
"My people, you should aim at the real enemy."
The giant fish's gaping maw remained open, but its target had shifted from Namor to the stone man.
The stone man remained completely calm; his tough body was more than capable of withstanding the bites of a deep-sea monster.
"You still love to play your big fish, Namor. But aren't you worried I'll knock your wife's teeth out?"
Before the words were even finished, the gaping maw was already upon him, and the "Stone Man" grabbed the tooth, which was as long as his own body, and held it firmly.
No matter how much the monster shook its head and swung its tail, the "Stone Man" did not loosen its grip at all. Instead, it placed its feet in the big fish's mouth and used its hands to forcefully pry open its teeth.
The stone man was incredibly strong, much stronger than Namor. Gradually, the monster lost control of its swaying and was instead restrained by the stone man, being tossed back and forth in the deep sea.
Finally, with two loud "cracks," the stone golem ripped out the monster's two fangs.
The monster let out a mournful cry, turned and fled back into the deep sea, throwing Namo off its back.
The stone man, holding a dental dentist, searched here and there:
"Where did that person with the sparkly pants go?"
He followed the route the monster had taken and searched the seabed until he finally found the disoriented Namor at a reef.
"You lost again, Namor. Have you actually won a single game since you started opposing the Fantastic Four?"
The stone man said mockingly, raising the teeth in his hands high and plunging them in forcefully.
Instead of killing Namor outright, he crossed his fangs and pressed them against Namor's neck to hold him in place, then turned and left.
"Don't go!"
Namor gritted his teeth and shouted, but with his neck held in place by the tooth, he could not break free. To the stone man, it was just impotent rage.
Inside the mysterious house, Connors stared blankly at Emma, the "White Queen."
Seemingly due to intense emotional fluctuations, Emma, the "White Queen," was now completely translucent, shimmering under the light of the chandelier in the Mysterious House.
She turned into a diamond, while Connors remained inside.
"Is that right?" Connors asked, puzzled.
"Queen of a Hundred" reached out to pull Connors:
"What do you mean right or wrong? Keep going! Don't stop."
But after reaching out her hands, she stopped herself, staring blankly at her diamond-like hands, then looked down at the point where Connors and she were joined:
"Excuse me, are you alright?"
Storm Ororo sensed something was wrong and looked over, immediately startled:
"We're doomed!"
She quickly untied Connors's hands and legs and jumped down, but accidentally pushed Connors and clearly felt his body move forward.
Storm's Ororo is now truly panicked:
"Could it have broken?"
Connors stared speechlessly at the two of them. Given his physical abilities, breaking the skin was definitely impossible, but the sight of the person before him transforming from milky white and silky to crystal clear and diamond-like made him feel extremely awkward.
The "White Queen" quickly and embarrassedly deactivated her diamond form, squeezed tightly, and only felt relieved after finding that it felt no different from before.
"It's not broken."
Storm Ororo breathed a sigh of relief:
"Good that it didn't break, it's my turn now."
Despite her deep reluctance, the "White Queen" had no choice but to release Connors.
Outside the mysterious house, Connors took the opportunity to peek at the battle between Namor and the Stone Man. As expected, the Stone Man, as the "Avenger," won the battle. He quickly reached out, took out his trident, and threw it out.
Deep beneath the sea, at an unknown depth, Namo watched with resentment as the stone man walked further and further away.
Just as he strained with both hands, desperately trying to break off the two fangs that were pressed against his neck, and was about to charge at the stone man again, a golden trident sliced through the seawater and landed in front of him.
Namor was startled, and before he could react, Connors' voice reached his mind:
"Here, it's for you."
Connors knew perfectly well that Namor had jumped into the sea from the Golden Gate Bridge for Connors' sake. In return for Namor's kindness, Connors would not stand by and watch Namor suffer a humiliating defeat.
