Chapter 226: I've chosen you!
Gwen is playing hard to C, and Connors is playing hard to C.
One is transformed into "Lime Spider-Man," while the other is putting out a fire in the Mysterious House.
There are all sorts of fire extinguishers—dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide—Connors disdains them all, but he has an absolute fondness for the "Invisible Woman's" fire extinguisher.
Not for any other reason than that her fire extinguisher had a lot of water in it.
Concerned about the birth of the seemingly impossible child Franklin, Connors employed both "Precision Manipulation" and "Biofield" abilities throughout, resulting in firefighting skills that were far superior to anything seen before by the Invisible Woman.
"If the Invisible Woman has magic, then I think I've figured her out."
Connors watched the battle outside the Mysterious House and pondered leisurely.
He had originally planned to secretly help Gwen if she was no match for the "Evil Six".
But the truth is that Gwen seems to have learned quite a bit from Connors's account of "Batman":
Searchlights, pre-battle preparations, exploiting weaknesses.
These are the things that "Batman" is best at, but Gwen uses them with incredible skill, especially when there are seven or eight bags of quicklime lying at Gwen's feet.
"Doctor Octopus's" robotic arms are incredibly flexible and maneuverable, but they are clearly no match for the ubiquitous lime.
As a weakness, "Doctor Octopus" is the first to be affected.
The robotic arm frantically attacked the surrounding air, while "Doctor Octopus" himself lay on his side on the ground, constantly rubbing his feet, which were burning from the lime.
"Little Green Goblin" was originally able to ignore the lime, but his helmet was torn by Gwen in the previous battle, which foreshadowed his eating the lime raw at this moment. He bumped his head into a pillar and fell asleep on the ground.
The only "vulture" that managed to escape the lime attack circled in the air. Instead of attacking Gwen, it flapped its wings and landed on the other side of the sea of fire.
Then a large, plump lizard covered in scales and thorns was thrown over and landed with a thud in front of Gwen.
When a friend came from afar, Gwen grabbed another bag of lime and threw it on Dr. Lizard without saying a word.
"Dr. Lizard" has rather small eyes and nostrils, and his skin is covered in scales, so lime shouldn't be very effective against him.
But Gwen had excellent grades and occasionally passed by construction sites while she was out fighting crime, where she saw the construction workers at work.
So she launched another spider silk, shooting it diagonally towards the top of her head, and then pulled it hard.
The truck bed in the abandoned factory was overturned, and a full bucket of rainwater collected in the downpour poured down, drenching "Dr. Lizard".
"The main component of quicklime is calcium hydroxide, which combines with hydrogen atoms in rainwater—"
Under Connors's gaze, which was ignorant of chemical formulas but possessed common sense, the lime on "Dr. Lizard" immediately boiled.
A large amount of water vapor mixed with lime evaporated and rose into the air, creating countless tiny bubbles on Dr. Lizard's body.
"!"
"Dr. Lizard" roared, and the scales and spines on its body cracked rapidly due to the high temperature generated by the lime reacting with water.
Drop.
Before new scales could grow on Dr. Lizard's body, Gwen shot out another web, pulling a discarded steel pipe from a distance and delivering a heavy blow to Dr. Lizard's head:
"Bang! Time for the hammer!"
Dr. Lizard's head was throbbing from the powerful blow.
That wasn't all. Gwen then forcefully shoved the steel pipe she was holding into the concrete ground, driving it more than a foot deep.
It continued to shoot spider silk, pulled over a steel pipe, slammed it onto "Dr. Lizard's" head with a bang, and then shoved it into the ground.
This continued incessantly, with a series of "bang bang bang" sounds. By the time "Vulture" flew over to join "Dr. Lizard" in dealing with Gwen, the giant lizard had already been completely locked in a steel pipe cage by Gwen.
"Vulture? Why are you out here? What benefits did 'Doctor Octopus' promise you?"
Gwen finished what she was doing and looked at the "Vulture" that had suddenly braked halfway through its flight. Spider silk shot out once again. The "Lizard Doctor's" small cage was still missing a top, and Gwen was worrying about it when she saw the "Vulture's" sharp steel wings and her eyes lit up.
Gwen, who had originally planned to bind the "vulture" with spider silk, changed her mind and used the "vulture's" wings as cleavers.
It slammed into the load-bearing pillars on all sides.
As the supporting pillars collapsed one by one, Gwen leaped onto the top of the abandoned factory and stomped down heavily.
Boom-
The roof of the abandoned factory collapsed, burying "Vulture" and "Dr. Lizard" underneath. The sealing of the steel pipe cage was completed.
The defeats of "Electro-King," "Doctor Octopus," "Green Goblin," "Doctor Lizard," and "Vulture" happened in the blink of an eye. "Hunter" Craven felt dizzy and then he was the only one left standing.
"It's over? So fast?"
"Hunter" Craven's eyes were fixed on Gwen like a wild beast:
"But you still don't deserve to be my prey. What about the one in the trench coat?"

Inside the mysterious house, Connors sighed, but continued to accelerate, filling the "Invisible Woman's" fire extinguisher with water.
"That unlucky guy, why is he so stubborn and insists on coming to me?"
The Gwen vs. the "Evil Six" incident is related to Connors's involvement in bringing up Reed the Watcher, and the key figure is Kraven the Hunter.
Connors had anticipated that this "hunter" would be arrogant and disdainful of teaming up with other supervillains to deal with Spider-Gwen, instead focusing on targeting himself.
However, he hadn't anticipated that even after using "Green of All Things" and "Amplification" to boost "Hunter" Craven's strength to a level surpassing that of this planet, the opponent would still relentlessly pursue him.
Logically, "Hunter" Craven should have set his sights on "Observer" Reed.
"I know why," Connors said, stepping out of the mystery house.
He ignored the attack stance of "Hunter" Craven and instead ran to "Dr. Lizard" and broke off his tail.
Next up are Doctor Octopus's mechanical arm, Vulture's wings, Green Goblin's longsword, and Electro's body.
Carrying such a huge pile of stuff, Connors ran over to Craven and slapped him unconscious.
Then, with the help of the abilities "Tricks" and "Reality Distortion", a brand new "Hunter" Kraven was born.
Another slap woke Craven up, and before he could react, Connors pointed to the top of his head and said:
"Feeling awesome right now? Hunting is nothing compared to what he's really made of."
Connors pointed to the sky, then gave Craven a thumbs-up, before grabbing Craven's belt and tossing him aside.
It was thrown into space:
"It's you I choose, Craven!"
In space, "Observer" Reed is watching Connors' every move.
When he saw "Hunter" Craven, transformed by Connors through some unknown means, fly onto his face with a body made of electricity, complete with a tail, wings, and mechanical arms, his expression changed.
He wasn't wary of the strength that "Hunter" Craven's strange appearance brought him, but rather he had discovered something else:
Connors knew where he was from the very beginning!
