Chapter 121 A Wife Who Knows How to Comfort People

"Batman, you stay here with Superman, I'm going to find Diana."

Connors said this to Batman, then turned and left, stopping Wonder Woman who was rushing towards them.

On Earth 0, Wonder Woman was stopped by Connors, and she did not insist on going to the place where Superman was imprisoned.

"None of this has anything to do with Dr. Light, Connors. I suspect it's related to Pandora."

Upon seeing Connors, Wonder Woman got straight to the point:

"And she brought the box with her, I have to find her."

"I'll go with you," Connors said.

Wonder Woman nodded, reached out and pulled Connors, selectively ignoring Thumbelina Atom sitting on his ear:

"I'm going to find Vulcan and ask this guy who might be the maker of Pandora's Box."

Connors had no objection to this. The Justice League didn't need him to deal with it for the time being. He left "Kusama" behind and flew into the sky with Diana.

Inside the forge of Hephaestus, the god of fire.

Vulcan was hammering his weapon when Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth flew out from behind and wrapped around his neck.

"vomit!"

Vulcan gagged, his body being uncontrollably pulled towards him by the Lasso of Truth:

"Diana? What the hell are you doing?"

Wonder Woman used her Lasso of Truth to tightly strangle Vulcan's neck:

"Shut up, I'm asking you! What is Pandora's box? What can it be used for?"

Vulcan looked at Diana with a bewildered and aggrieved expression:

"Aren't we allies, Wonder Woman? I crafted half of your artifacts, and you just barge into my territory and attack me?"

"I don't have time for formalities, please answer my question," Diana urged.

Vulcan, with the Lasso of Truth around his neck, could not conceal any truth, but he was powerless to address Diana's question:

"That box isn't what you think. It's a mystery, and it was never forged by me."

"The magic box was found at the temple outside Athens, but nobody knows where it came from."

Diana looked at the Lasso of Truth in her hand; even the God of Fire could not resist its power.

Clearly, her attempt to find Vulcan and uncover the truth has failed.

Flying over the sea, Diana said to Connors with concern:

"Connors, you're the one who brought Pandora to Superman. Do you know anything about the box?"

"I can't tell you, Diana, but we can ask another team for help," Connors said.

Diana looked at him with hopeful eyes.

Almost everyone knows that Connors is one of the most well-connected and knowledgeable people on Earth, a persona he has cultivated since arriving on Earth 0.

"You can seek help from the Justice League Dark; I know them," Connors said.

"The Dark Justice League? Those guys who pretend to be heroes to take on side jobs?" Diana clearly didn't have a good impression of the Dark Justice League.

"Just a reminder, Zatanna was also a member of the Justice League Dark," Connors cautioned.

With Zatanna's connection, Wonder Woman Diana decided to follow Connors's lead:

"Then what are we waiting for?"

"You go find the Dark Justice League, I need to find someone else," Connors said.

He followed Wonder Woman out to guide her to the Dark Justice League; he didn't need to go with her himself.

"Okay, then I'll go and meet them."

Diana said that the flight speed increased further, and the airflow cut a line through the sea below.

After watching Wonder Woman leave, Atom, who was sitting on Connors' ear and clutching his hair, finally dared to speak:

Where are you going now?

"Go find Lady Shangdu. She's been tied up for half the day; we need to help her relax," Connors said.

Inside Lady Shangdu's psychic hut, Connors reached out and flicked the "Atomic Girl" sitting atop his ear:

"Aren't you coming down?"

"Atomic Girl" Rhonda gripped Connors' hair tightly. "I won't go. I'm afraid you'll kill me as soon as I return to my normal size. After all, I don't seem to have any use for you now."

Connors had no intention of killing "Atomic Girl" after she finished her work for him, so he ignored her upon hearing this and instead spoke to Lady Shangdu, who was tied to a chair in front of him:

"Madam, I'm here again."

(Lady of Shangdu)

"Who?"

Lady Shangdu's eyes were covered by vines, and her hands and feet were bound to the chair. She asked in a somewhat fearful manner.

"I can't tell you my identity yet," Connors said. "Your ability to foresee the future is a great threat to me, so I'm sorry to have you tied up here."

Lady Shangdu was wearing a form-fitting long dress with a hem that slit up to her thighs; she was somewhat apprehensive.

"What are your plans? To rule the world? Or do you desire some unspeakable, powerful force?"

"No matter who you are, you can't do what so many villains have failed at. This world has superheroes protecting you, you can't possibly succeed."

"And you cannot bind me here forever, for I am immortal."

Connors nodded and asked:

"What did you see while I kept you trapped? Tell me about it!"

Lady Shangdu, seemingly thinking that since she was already tied up here anyway, might as well do nothing, slowly spoke:

"I saw an 'outsider' who doesn't belong to this world, drifting between the Justice League and the Justice League of America, keeping almost everyone in the dark—wait, you're the outsider?"

She was only halfway through her sentence when Lady Shangdu realized what she was saying, and her tone changed from helpless to excited.

"—You just realized that?" Connors said helplessly, standing in front of Lady Shangdu.

He reached out and touched her cheek, and Lady Shangdu used the contact to further examine the future.

She couldn't see Connors' future locked up, so she chose to look at her own future, and the future of the Justice League.

Lady Shangdu's expression rapidly shifted between shock, anger, confusion, and sudden realization. Although her eyes were covered, her expression was still clearly seen by Connors' "Athena's Vision."

However, Lady Shangdu's emotions were somewhat beyond Connors' expectations. After a moment of realization, Lady Shangdu suddenly became shy.

She looked up in Connors' direction:

"You've worked hard—"

Connors: "???"

How is it hard work?

After arriving on Earth 0, in order to successfully get his hands on the "Three-Body War" and "Eternal Evil," Connors continued to do the things that only villains would do.

He unleashed "Monster Thompson" to control Superman, causing chaos around the world, and then acted as the "savior," gaining the trust of almost everyone.

The conflict between "Mars Manhunter" and the Justice League led to the formation of the Justice League of America.

Then, taking advantage of the fact that Earth's superheroes were severely weakened, they openly attacked villains while secretly forming a secret society of super villains.

In all the events that are unfolding up to now, Connors has played a role that can be considered that of a major villain.

But now, as a righteous superhero, "Lady of Shangdu" has taken a closer look at the future. Instead of resisting Connors, this "outsider," she even said, "Thank you for your hard work."

Just as Connors was somewhat confused, Lady Shangdu continued:

"Your appearance has corrected the timeline of this world—thank you for your hard work, I will stand firmly by your side."

And comfort you in the way you prefer.

As Lady Shangdu spoke, she licked the corner of her mouth with her tongue to moisten it, and then slowly opened her mouth.

Connors: _lI

He began to understand what Lady Shangdu had said.

Did his actions of pushing the timeline and plot forward in order to enjoy the gossip inadvertently pull the plot back on track when it was about to deviate?
