Chapter 115 Food-Grade Jailers
Chapter 115 Food-Grade Jailers
Chapter 115 Food-Grade Jailers
Only the purest or the darkest heart can open this box —
In the pouring rain, Pandora, a young girl wearing a red hooded robe, walked through the alley, the words of "Shazam the Wizard" still echoing in her mind.
"Connors, I know you can hear me. If it's convenient for you, please help me." She interlaced her fingers over her chest.
He recited it in a low voice.
In her clasped hands was a small straw doll.
"Of course, I can hear your call no matter where I am, and I will come to help you."
Connors' voice came from the sky, his black cloak billowing in the wind, and the flashes of lightning in the sky shone on him, making it difficult for Pandora to see his face clearly.
"You were right, I was right. I was just a curious girl who opened the box. I shouldn't have become one of the original sin tribos." After Connors fell from the sky, Pandora rushed into his arms.
"The world thinks you are a wicked person who has absolved original sin, but that's only because they see you as a villain who has absolved their own greed, pride, gluttony, lust, and anger."
It's just an excuse for laziness and vanity. You are innocent.
Having just left Lady Shangdu's psychic hut, Connors, who had bound the lady in various ways, reached out and patted the back of the girl Pandora in his arms.
He reassured her.
Upon hearing Pandora's words, he knew that the girl had already met "Shazam the Wizard" and learned about the box.
While Rhonda Panida, known as "Atom Girl," was joining the Justice League and working as a triple agent within it, Connors wasn't idle either:
He successfully found Pandora, a lost and helpless girl wandering among humans, and unlocked her heart by using "magnification" and "lock-picking mastery" to enter her heart.
After that, Connors became Pandora's only close friend in human society, and gave her a "Kusama Man".
Connors told her that she could summon "Kusama-jin" anytime, anywhere, by speaking to him, no matter what happened.
With the superhuman physical abilities granted by "photosynthesis," he was able to maximize the flight speed provided by the black smoke cloak.
Even if Pandora were to hide in any corner of Earth's crown, as long as there were no dimensional barriers, Connors could quickly reach her side.
"Shazam the wizard said that the box wasn't created by them, and that he only possessed the power within to end the curse—"
Pandora said, biting her lower lip. The longer she spent with him, the more she felt that Connors seemed to know everything and be omnipotent.
Connors' next words further convinced her of this:
"After saying that, he was struck by lightning and died?"
"You really do know, as if the whole world is within your sight." Pandora hugged Connors tightly, trying to dispel the chill in her body with the warmth of his body.
You're right, my Kusama-men are everywhere in the world. I've placed my eyes in every corner where something might happen.
Connors looked down at Pandora and thought to himself, as the black smoke cloak behind him automatically blocked the rain around them.
Even in the pouring rain, he remained warm and dry—except when he went to perform at Lady Shangdu's psychic hut.
Even though he had designs on the young girl Pandora, and even though she was cursed to be immortal, Connors still followed the Chinese tradition: after being caught in the rain, one should take a hot bath.
However, at this moment, Pandora was in the bathtub, burying her body in the fine white bubbles, with her soft little feet resting on Connors's thighs.
She was rather short, and the bathtub in Connors' house was large enough that, with one person leaning against one side, Pandora's feet could only reach her thighs.
Connors dipped his hand into the warm water of the bathtub and held the restless little feet in his palm.
Even after walking among humans for thousands of years, Pandora's pair of jailers still have no calluses. They are warm and smooth to the touch, making them practically food-grade jailers.
Even as Connors rubbed her feet repeatedly with his fingers and palms, the girl showed no sign of discomfort.
In her view, it was not strange to do anything with her only friend in thousands of years.
Pandora let the large hands linger between the jailer's legs, her face filled with worry:
"Shazam the wizard said that the box contains the power I need to end this curse of immortality and to purify the world from the Seven Spirits of Sin and their evil. I will use it."
"But where can I find the purest and the darkest souls? Among the people I've seen over thousands of years of walking among humanity—"
Even the most wicked person has a sliver of kindness in their heart, and even the most devout and humble priest may harbor evil thoughts in secret.
The image of the priest, the little boy, and the Christ the Redeemer statue—a reference to hell—appeared almost subconsciously in Connors' mind. His expression remained unchanged.
He tapped Pandora's calf with his finger, signaling her to continue.
"Connors, you are the best person I have ever met in thousands of years. Can you help me open the box?" Pandora did not disappoint Connors and continued.
Connors: "—."
His hand, which was stroking Pandora's calf, froze. This wasn't going to be the script. Why was she setting her sights on me?
He carefully organized his words, guiding the conversation step by step:
"No, Pandora, is it possible that I only showed you my kind side? You can trust me on other things, but when it comes to opening Pandora's box, there are people more suitable than me."
"But—I have never encountered these two types of people in my thousands of years."
Pandora, in a moment of panic, reached her arm out of the bathtub foam toward Connors and grabbed his ever-exploring hands.
"But there will always be one, and right now there just happens to be one," Connors said, squeezing Pandora's soft, boneless hand.
His fingertips slid lightly, drawing an "S" in Pandora's palm.
"You mean," Pandora's tightly furrowed brows slowly relaxed, softening the lines of her face, "Superman?"
"That's right! He's the person with the purest heart in the world," Connors said with a smile.
"But where is he?" Pandora then posed another question.
"After you take a shower, I'll take you there."
A blush crept across Pandora's face as she climbed out of the bathtub, changing her position from lying down to leaning over the edge.
"Atomic Girl, you're a bit clumsy," Connors criticized mercilessly. "You can't even hack into a mere Justice League Watchtower, despite all the times I've taught you."
Rhonda Panida, who plays Atomic Girl, stood silently to the side, carefully taking a step back to avoid disturbing Connors's operation.
"Master Pilot" allowed Connors to skillfully control the "Justice League Watchtower" suspended in space with dazzling button presses, deactivating the defense system and unleashing the Despair Demon.
Atomic Girl retreated again, remembering how much effort the Justice League had put in to imprison the monster.
"Black smoke, eat it." After releasing the Despair Demon, Connors didn't even bother to look at it. The black smoke behind him transformed into a terrifying maw and swallowed the Despair Demon whole.
"My clone can still manage to send you back to the ground. Go into the bat cave and steal a kryptonite ring."
"Note: Don't touch anything else. Also, don't tell anyone I was here."
After Connors finished speaking, his head had already transformed into the shape of "Kusama Man," which frightened "Atomic Girl" so much that she retreated to the edge of the watchtower.
