Both the black magician Faust and the gates of hell corresponding to the key are on Paradise Island.
When Connors arrived, he discovered that the situation was far more serious than he had imagined.
The island's plains had been burned, revealing bare land, with black ash flying wildly in the air.
The various thatched and mud houses inhabited by the Amazonians were either collapsed or burned down, leaving them in a state of disrepair.
Stone statues are everywhere, each with a face that is either angry or sad.
Inside the Amazonian temple, the steps were now broken into several large pieces, and the stone pillars were scattered haphazardly.
Even the temple itself was half collapsed.
"Shh—we're much faster than expected. Let's see what Faust is doing."
Connors pulled back Wonder Woman Diana, who was about to rush in regardless of the consequences.
"Since things are already like this, acting impulsively won't help."
Diana sighed heavily. Even though she had seen the sight of Paradise Island before, seeing it again now still made her furious. She wished she could kill that dark sorcerer on the spot.
But Connors wasn't wrong either; they should observe Faust secretly first, and besides, a hoarse, irritable voice was now echoing from within the temple:
Where is she? Where is the Amazonian princess?
Connors, Zatanna, and Diana crept closer, and there stood Faustus in the temple, with a crimson flame burning in the air.
The raging voice came from within the flames.
Faust, dressed in a dark blue robe and wearing a matching round hat, was smiling as he reassured the master behind the flame:
"Be patient, Master. Those fragments are protected by seals and scattered all over the world. Since someone else is doing it for me, why should I risk my life?"
Connors used "Athena's Vision" to see the flame clearly, which was clearly shooting out from behind a golden circle, as if the circle were a passage to hell.
Crimson flames rose in the air, forming a grotesque, horned monster that loomed in and out of existence. Its already volatile voice threatening to escalate into rage.
"Patience?! I've endured it for over three thousand years! If anything goes wrong with this, I'll cut off your head!"
Faust did not become angry or fearful because of the jeerous voice; his tone remained neither arrogant nor humble.
"Master, I mean the fragments will arrive here soon, perhaps as early as tomorrow—and then, Lord Hades, the world will be ours."
The flames slowly died down, but the last words still echoed in the temple:
"The world will definitely be ours. It definitely will!"
Faust, still smiling, turned and walked to a statue in another corner of the temple, reaching out to touch it.
"I should thank you for raising such a filial daughter. She is so eager to cooperate with me to save you."
Diana, the "Wonder Woman" hiding in the shadows, watched as the dark sorcerer Faust touched the statue, and could no longer resist rushing over:
"Faust!"
Faust stretched out his left hand, and an hourglass appeared out of thin air. He glanced at the markings on the hourglass and asked in confusion:
"So fast? There are still several hours left, that's surprising. Have all the fragments been collected?"
Wonder Woman Diana retrieved the reassembled key from her magic pocket:
"First, you have to release my mother."
"That's easy." A talisman appeared out of thin air in Faust's left palm and pointed it at the stone statue in the temple. "Now, you have to put what you're holding on the ground and walk to your mother empty-handed."
Faust fears that Wonder Woman Diana will attack him while he is free from petrification.
Wonder Woman Diana had no way to launch a sneak attack, and she watched with some confusion as Connors walked in along the temple wall.
Even though Faust was clearly within his line of sight, Connors walked over unnoticed by the dark sorcerer.
Not only that, Connors even walked up to Faust, stretched him out behind him, and pried off the fingers of the statue's hand one by one, taking the talisman and replacing it with a lump of mud.
"If you don't give me this, you'll never save your mother, or even the Amazons on Paradise Island."
Faust held the mud Connors had given him, his eyes sharp as an eagle's, staring intently at Wonder Woman Diana.
Whenever Diana showed any unusual behavior, Faust would hide the petrification-removing spell.
"—" Diana blinked, feeling that the scene before her was somewhat absurd.
If the two weren't on opposing sides, Diana would have even considered giving Faust a warning.
Connors was playing with the talisman he had taken from Faust. It was about the size of a palm and had the image of a Gorgon with snakes hair on it, which should be the legendary "Medusa".
With this thing, the stone statues on Paradise Island should be able to be removed, right? Connors tossed the talisman up and caught it, making Wonder Woman Diana's heart pound with fear, afraid that it might accidentally fall to the ground and break.
However, now that the petrification charm has been stolen, Diana has no more worries and can discard the key in her hand.

The lasso was blasted away by the ball of light. Faust's legs didn't move, but his body moved swiftly across the ground to the side of the stone statue in the temple, while his other hand reached for the key in the air.
It was only then that he was somewhat surprised to find Zatanna standing not far away, looking like a curious child.
Zatanna didn't make a move from beginning to end, but her thirst for magical knowledge made her quietly come closer to examine it curiously, only to be discovered by Faust at that moment.

This guy stood right behind Faust, as if Faust wouldn't notice him if he remained hidden among the other's figures.
"Do you yearn to learn magic?" Faust looked at Zatanna, who seemed like a curious child, a smile appearing on his face beneath his dark blue hat.
"Hmm." Zatanna nodded, but what she said infuriated Faust: "Remember to write down all the magic you know before you die."
She simply had a thirst for magical knowledge, but she wasn't blindly so. Faust's evil deeds on Paradise Island, which turned the entire Amazonian race into stone statues, had already made Zatanna deeply resent him.
If it weren't for the fact that her current magic is more functional, she would have launched an attack even before Wonder Woman Diana.
"You backward and ignorant people are not worthy of possessing black magic."
Faust gritted his teeth and chanted a spell rapidly. He and Diana's mother, Hippolyta, who had turned into a stone statue, vanished.
"My mother-in-law has been kidnapped," Connors said, playing with the petrification talisman.
Faust disappeared, and Connors, who had been standing behind him like a ghostly shadow, was naturally exposed. Of course, there was no need to hide any longer at this point.
He walked over to Diana, the "Wonder Woman," and patted her bare, rounded shoulder:
"Don't just stand there, quickly find my mother-in-law!"
Diana was not thin; she was slim where she should be, with a soft and elastic waist, and fuller curves in the right places, such as her hips which were wider than her shoulders.
On the premise that the body is not thin, the shoulders do not feel hard like bones when touched. Instead, they are smooth and moist, with a feel comparable to the finest mutton fat jade.
So after taking one shot, Connors wasn't satisfied and simply put his hand on Diana's shoulder.
