No matter how noble its bloodline, it will be dethroned by other nobles and die an unjust death in palace intrigue.
Resources are scarce, life is fleeting, and those who fear death are such a race.
But the rest of their lives have passed away.
The space necromancer crawls out of the grave of the fearful dead, mad and still trying to restrain itself with the rules of the past. The clown, who still retains his self-awareness, tries to engage in palace intrigue, but does not clearly realize what has happened to him.
Obi-Long watched helplessly as his beloved crowned Xanderrick stepped into the river of madness.
Wang Wei was acutely aware that this was irreversible. He himself had lost many memories and aspects of his personality. The fierce war would wear him down, gradually eroding his memories until they were completely lost.
After the last perilous war, it lost most of its memories of the dead. Obi-Long forgot what drinking water felt like, forgot the city where it lived as a child, and felt that it was heading towards its final death.
The person wearing the crown is unaware of this.
Or perhaps it is aware of it but simply ignores it.
Every death, every time one commands an excessively large war, brings about a loss of character.
No space necromancer could escape this curse... but... Obi-Long looked across at Tara-Sin, who was giving his all in a battle of command against the Crowned One.
Is it an exception?
"thrilling!"
Another command vessel vanished in a flash of white light, along with Tarasin, who was directing operations from aboard.
Taracin immediately transferred its consciousness into the body it had been fighting the Tomb Stalker. Just as its entire personality was being stuffed into this body, the hissing worm in front of it swung its scythe-like forelegs at it!
Tarasin immediately rolled over, his crescent-shaped forelegs scraping his back and plunging into the ground, sending mud and sand flying.
With a gesture from the Endless One, a pillar of fire as thick as a supporting column of the palace erupted from the ground, blasting the giant worm and the coffin guards beneath it into the sky!
In the distance, another fragment of the Burner thrown out by the Endless One withdrew its gaze and continued to focus on dealing with the fragments of the Burner released by the Crowned One—the fragments of the Star God always yearn for each other.
Currently, three of Tarahin's bodies have been destroyed, while five more remain, still commanding operations in different parts of the battlefield.
Excluding Hades, there are four Star God fragments on the battlefield that are still combat-ready, three of which belong to the Endless Ones and one to the Crowned Ones.
There are four fragments of the Star God imprisoned in the Hyperdimensional Labyrinth, twisting and screaming: one belongs to Tarasin, and the remaining three belong to Zandrek.
The old general also had a few coins in his pocket.
No one who fears death is willing to submit! The two war commanders are playing chess with their forces, and there may not even be much hatred between them, but for this inherently warlike race, war doesn't need many reasons!
Even if Tarachin were to be defeated, the old general estimated that he would most likely abide by the Covenant of the Dead and make it pay the ransom as soon as possible.
As Taracin thought about it, he swung his sickle again, and another command boat rose beneath his feet, carrying him to a higher place.
But Talasi was better at dealing with the Star Gods. Talasi specifically sent a body to contain Zandrek's Star God. Hades, who was focused on improving its performance, would occasionally look away to add some fun to the battles between the Star God fragments.
Moreover, Taraxin thought that the Star God fragments it contained were much larger, and it fed them very well, unlike other dynasties.
In reality, all the Star God fragments on the field now might not be worth as much as Hades alone; they are all too fragmented and severely degraded—like the Fear of Death.
Strange glimmers appeared on the battlefield, and Zandrek's warriors collapsed to the ground, howling in agony. Countless eerie eyes appeared in the refracted space, and the innumerable Ishtar silently cursed Tarasin, who imprisoned it.
The curse was ineffective; Hades' black mist shielded it from these minor negative curses.
The massive rocky arms swung wildly across the ground, blasting away hordes of soldiers with sheer mass and speed. World Shaper Igrania roared as she tore the earth in two.
On the other side was a hell of flames, where the two largest fragments of the Burner were locked in a fierce battle, impossible for ordinary armies to approach, leaving only the rage between the Star Gods.
"I have never seen so many Star God fragments in my life."
Hades' voice echoed from the spatial rift, "I can—"
"Not for now."
Tarasin said calmly that it was unsure whether Hades could continue eating.
It once again opened its thought circuits to their maximum, and the part of Hades Void Dragon was protecting the personality module of the Endless One as much as possible. Tarachin was grateful to Hades, and Hades knew what it meant.
"So when should I go on?"
Hades glanced sideways. Apart from the superior number of Star Gods, the situation on the battlefield was not optimistic. The old general was clearly superior. It was a bit of a stretch to have a civil official fight. However, Tarachin learned very quickly, extremely quickly.
Perhaps this is not the normal learning speed that a space necromancer should have. Space necromancers tend to be conservative, which also affects their learning ability.
As for those smaller fragments of the Star Gods… Hades remained silent, hiding in the dimensional cross-section, observing his “kin.” But to Hades’ surprise, or perhaps not at all, these smaller fragments of the Star Gods had degenerated far too much.
They possess immense energy but lack the knowledge to utilize it. They are like dwarfs wielding great strength, perhaps because they have never learned how to properly use their abilities and can only roughly mimic the combat methods of other races.
But... isn't he the same way?
Hades remained silent, realizing that Tarasim's upgrade was nearing its peak—after that, the knowledge of the Void Dragon and the Deceiver would pale in comparison. Tarasim's personality data had reached its zenith, and the only thing left to do was upgrade his body.
But for a commander, the body is obviously not the most important thing, especially since Tarasin is a disposable person.
"It's reached its limit,"
Pluto said, watching the external cooling system he had connected to Tarachin running wildly,
"Going forward, performance will be improved at the cost of losing one's own personality data."
"That's enough, that's enough."
Taracin laughed, feeling just right, even though its computing power was already three or four times that of the old general—in reality, the half-mad crowned one was still using his terrifying experience and intuition to overpower Taracin in terms of the situation.
If General Zandrek hadn't gone mad... he would have been the Storm King's most capable general, but unfortunately, he has.
Even in his madness, his powerful war skills made Storm King overlook this unpleasantness.
Tarachin realized once again that he had found himself a troublesome enemy... but the reward would be substantial if he were to win.
This is a great opportunity to train myself, Tarasin thought, while once again dissuading Hades from launching an attack. Faced with countless fragments of the Star God, Hades was clearly a little anxious.
However, just as countless Tesla Destroyers roared, behind the scorching tails of the Burners, and after realizing that Tarasim did not employ insidious assassin tactics like the Death Seal,
Obi-Dragon, the king beside Zandreuk, moved.
In an instant! Obi-Dragon's body vanished. Wang Wei, clad in the finest Ghost Step Cloak, had a cube that didn't belong to this dimension float in Obi-Dragon's hand as he flashed into the realm of myriad eyes.
Screams, pain, distortion! Eyes cursed as countless beings were gripped by claw-shaped hyperdimensional labyrinths. The illusionary space was restored, and the pitiful fragments of the Star God, used by Tarachin to power the museum's lighting, were once again returned to their cages.
Oh shit!
Taracin cursed inwardly, "Is this the strength a royal guard should have?!"
It had heard of the legend of the old general and the guard Obi-Long who had saved it from countless assassination attempts, but a royal guard of this caliber should have rebelled long ago! Instead of continuing to be a protector!
Don't give me that nonsense about class – the Storm King, the actual leader of the Sotek dynasty where the old general lived, rose from the ranks of commoners!
Obi-Dragon's scythe was as unpredictable as its movements. Without violating the Covenant of the Dead, Talazin realized that the Royal Guard was eliminating elite units and quickly moved towards the Burner's location.
Tarasin's current advantage is entirely due to the Star God Fragments; Tarasin's command is still slowing down his well-equipped army!
Damn it, damn it, damn it!!!
Tarasin had never been so angry. Its once proud agility and cunning were rendered useless on the front lines. It had at least led an army to defeat a powerful fragment of the Deceiver, but it was still no match for the regular army!
The Endless One began to swear that after this war, it would diligently study how to command battles.
At the same time, it realized that it had to bring in Hades; it could no longer take the opportunity to have Hades upgrade it for free.
Hades was clearly aware of this as well. The spatial rift around Tarasin dissipated, and just as Obi-Dragon approached the Burner, Tarasin could see that Obi-Dragon's steps had abruptly changed.
A jet-black crescent moon streaked across the sky!
Obi-Long instinctively dodged by changing his pace, but the light distorted—the dark section turned and cut Wang Wei in half!
"Beware of the Hyperdimensional Maze!!!"
Tarasin roared, "In the realm of pure physics, Pluto is still the strength of a large fragment of a celestial being—meaning it can be captured."
It wasn't worried about Obi-Dragon being resurrected in other tomb worlds; Talasien had a few tricks up his sleeve to erase that data consciousness.
Perhaps even without Tarasin's intervention, death would erase Wang Wei's few remaining personality traits and memories.
Just as it shouted, Obi-Dragon, whose upper body was spinning and suspended in the air, moved. The flashes of the three hyperdimensional mazes burst out at this moment, and Tara-Sin felt his thought circuits let out a mournful cry.
The hyperdimensional labyrinth can cover all dimensions, forcing Hades, who had been hiding in other dimensions, to reveal himself—luckily, he had tied Magnus up and thrown him far away beforehand.
Before the hyperdimensional labyrinth, Hades' pupils dilated. He seemed to understand the Star God's instinctive fear of this, and the Star God's part screamed in pain—but his train of thought was not disrupted in the slightest.
Hades removed the two pendants from his waist, freeing them from their restraints: the Burner's fiery heart and the Void Dragon's core, still flowing with silver blood.
He didn't expect these two Star God fragments, which he had almost completely consumed, to be of any use to the Necromancers of Space, but... consuming two cages was enough!
Like a bear trap that was triggered prematurely, amidst the violent spatial fluctuations, the two hyperdimensional labyrinths were prematurely triggered and pounced on the bait that Hades had set out.
Hades raised his eyes, and on his dark face, the hyperdimensional labyrinth clamped down on him with an inescapable pressure.
"No--!!!!"
Tarasin screamed with all his might, and the space where Hades was located shattered, so it could not see the whole picture, but Tarasin hoped that he had not messed things up!
Meanwhile, the command boat that Zandrek was on suddenly sped up to maximum power and charged toward Tarasin!
"Soldier against soldier, general against general! Let's have a match!"
Zander called out cheerfully, and the old general picked up his sickle.
At least for the time being, Tarachin cannot count on Hades' help—and its mediocre skills—no!
Tarasin thought desperately, gripping the Staff of Ruthless Annihilation tightly with both hands, gesturing towards the old general. It was certainly capable of escaping, but did it really intend to run away?
But just as the two space ghosts were about to meet—
"I'm done."
Within the mysterious space-time, the one-eyed being muttered to itself that the river of time flowed turbulently beneath its feet, forming two branches that flowed toward different distant places.
And one group... astrologers raised their heads, looking at that absurd future, that...
The future of the ancient orcs' resurgence.
“Tarasin, my mortal enemy, Tarasin,”
Orikan said it began to collapse.
Why are you always involved in these turning points in life?
That's it.
Orikan raised his hand and pointed at Zandrek's reflection in the River of Time—the crowned man's light was already chaotic, and he was delirious.
Good luck on the college entrance exam!
Yay! That's it!
Chapter 661 The Desperate Space Necromancer
"Is this here?"
"right here."
The ferocious beast's mouth was wide open, its fangs bared. Mag the boy gazed at the treacherous waves of the vast ocean, continuing to manipulate the exquisite monocular lens in front of him.
"It can't be wrong..."
Mag said, continuing to observe the waves of the warp.
“The projection of the great sage is here, and the underworld should have its own sage.”
“Alright,” said Big Tooth gruffly, “we’d better hurry—how are those idiots doing?”
"They still consider themselves to be some kind of flesh-and-blood creature, proclaiming themselves to be Alpha Reis."
Mag frowned.
"The semen and the call to Hades cannot cure them, but there is currently no evidence that the juice from crushing them is contagious—this is certainly not within the wisdom taught to us by the great sages, and I am certain that the Blood Lord does not possess such characteristics."
"Well,"
The man with the large front teeth tapped his chin. "The Milky Way is evolving, or perhaps regressing. We just need to follow its rhythm."
In Khorne's territory, they encountered some trouble, while the tall, white-haired man who claimed to be the emperor's servant had already left—
The front teeth realized they still needed guidance.
It can't be Hades—because Hades doesn't love them, and they are still not noble enough to enter the underworld.
But a wise person... might be able to treat everyone equally.
