“You wait, Karas Typhon,”
Hades said,
"You'll see, from now on I'll always call you by your full name, not for any other reason than to disgust you."
Karas sneered.
“Shout—shout! Shout whatever you want! If I were afraid, I wouldn’t be Callas Typhon.”
Hades was about to rush forward again when Buz quickly stopped him once more. To be honest, this feeling of being stopped was very familiar; he remembered stopping nobles who were about to fight each other.
That's how it is—all talk and no action.
The two exchanged a few more trash talk, and Booz suspected the Primarch was about to burst out laughing, but eventually the medical room returned to calm.
"..."
Karas shut down his microphone and stopped fighting with the dung.
Hades then had an epiphany: he was now like a mop covered in poop—no, perhaps even worse. From now on, he would throw poop at anyone he didn't like.
Let's take a flight from the heavens.
Let's set a small goal first: shout Chaos's full name seven times a day, and randomly attack Yellow Skin or Karas depending on my mood.
The thought of chaos made Hades agitated again. After this battle, Hades realized that he would have no peace until chaos was eliminated.
This time it was Slaanesh, who knows what it will be next—what if Khorne sees that Slaanesh is doing well this time, and then goes crazy and descends directly into the real world?
Hades pondered that if Chaos forcibly tore open the veil, it would cause their strength to drop drastically.
What exactly is Slaanesh trying to do? Or does He really just want to die?
...We shouldn't have let Elsa be kidnapped.
The medical room fell silent, with only the hum of the treatment equipment.
Booz stood behind Hades, his eyes downcast and his mind at ease.
The Primarch slowly sat up, and Mortarion's gaze passed over Hades, taking in Bouz Bella.
Buz gave a polite smile, but felt a chill run down his spine.
This was the first time he had ever seen the Primarch of the Deathguard—even though he had once been the regent who made the Cult of the Underworld the state religion.
Among the formidable people in this room, Booz often met with them, but the person he was most familiar with was Karas, the Death Guard's veteran who had helped and scolded him quite a bit.
[…Booz Bella?]
"Motalian asked, his gaze shifting back and forth between Buz and Hades."
Primarchs rarely see Hades' sons, but they can tell at a glance whether it is a Death Guard or a Hades' son. All Hades' sons have an aura that no one else has, very much like Hades. Mortarion couldn't say what it was. Perhaps it was casualness, relaxation, or calmness? Or something else? Primarchs were also puzzled.
"Booz Bella, son of Hades, greets Lord Mortarion."
Booz gave a standard salute, which interrupted Hades's thoughts. Hades casually pulled over two chairs, gesturing for Booz to sit down, and then sat down himself.
"What do you need to report?"
Hades blinked and asked,
Is this a convenient location?
Booz glanced at his Primarch, who was curiously examining him, and Karas, who was feigning death, and nodded.
He took a deep breath; Buzz hadn't brought good news—which was why he was the one who came.
Buz's eyes darted around.
Hades instantly understood, and the Black Domain directly blocked the room, with everyone tacitly ignoring Karas's curse.
Buz sat up straight, looking serious.
“Eighteen days ago, news came from the Assassin’s Court that there was a disturbance in the expeditionary force led by Makado, which was later confirmed to be due to Makado himself losing control of his psychic powers for about forty-five minutes.”
Eighteen days ago, exactly the day Slaanesh attacked the Endurance.
Upon hearing this news, the faces of everyone else in the room darkened.
Hades nodded, signaling for Buz to continue.
"At the same time, the Mars Agent Forging General, in conjunction with the Underworld Astrology Bureau, observed a large amount of psionic energy fluctuations erupting near the Barbarus Starfield in the Storm Starfield."
Hades gave a brief "hmm," and then spread his hands.
"Now you know what happened."
Buz nodded, his expression serious.
"Chaos launched a large-scale offensive against the real universe—forgive my bluntness, but since Lord Mortarion led his army into the warp, Chaos has almost never been so rampant. Even though Abaddon the Great Raider is still leading his army on the offensive, it is nothing more than a minor skirmish compared to this attack."
Buz paused, glanced at Hades, then turned and scanned the remaining two.
Then, as if having made up his mind, he continued...
"News has also come from the Imperial Guards who are guarding and exploring the network channels. They say..."
Buzz's voice trailed off.
"Please allow me to ask, esteemed gentlemen, what is your opinion on the Dark Prince's actions this time?"
"..."
【Elsa.】
Motarian said, his voice hoarse, his eyes unblinking.
I was careless.
"Me too--"
Hades said,
"The Dark Prince stuffed her into the wound in His abdomen...it was so close."
He began to recall the scene, but for Hades, the memory had become hazy since he chased into the warp. He felt as if he were struggling to move forward in a large mass of writhing, living flesh, with muscles trying to squeeze him out.
He was nearly suffocating.
Because Hades was incredibly fast, Slaanesh was still near the warp rift. He pounced, devouring the chaos as much as possible.
Hades confirmed that for a while, the Dark Domain was even blocked, and he was still unable to easily absorb all of Slaanesh's massive amount of psionic energy.
But this overflow of psychic energy also "fed" Hades's portion of the planetary god, though Hades was unwilling to savor the taste.
Hades was certain that he had almost reached the deepest point, but he still hadn't grasped Aisha's psychic powers.
"Perhaps He's a masochist,"
Karas chuckled. "This madman is just here for the thrill."
Buz gave a wry smile.
"Perhaps what you gentlemen say makes sense, then the Imperial Guard's information is probably correct."
Buz took a deep breath.
"The Imperial Guard said that there is a high probability that the main network at Comoros has been exposed."
Comoros?
Hades realized something was wrong.
"Then... according to some of my sources,"
Buz said,
"After Barbaros was seriously injured, Slaanesh may have descended directly upon Comoros."
"etc?!"
Hades said, his eyes widening suddenly, his pupils dilating violently.
"You mean that after forcibly tearing open the veil of reality and attacking the Death Guard ships, the heavily damaged Slaanesh then directly tore open the Comoros Net and entered the Comoros?!"
Slaanesh couldn't possibly have that kind of power! The Net Path is not something that can be easily breached—otherwise, Chaos would have already attacked Comoros!
After being severely injured by Hades, Hades even doubted whether Slaanesh could continue to hold his position as one of the eight corners of Chaos—how did he end up in Comoros the next moment?!
Buz frowned, his Macuraglan eyes fixed on Hades.
"It's possible that Slaanesh didn't personally breach the Comoros Net,"
"It's possible..." Boots said cautiously.
[The Master of Change, or Makado.]
Motarian interrupted, and Buz nodded.
“We do not yet know how they did it—but the network of the Comoros may have been broken, and the Comoros may have fallen in places unseen by the Empire.”
……
Hades remained silent.
"...Slaanesh is currently in the Comoros."
He repeated those words, and Hades could imagine the agonizing scene unfolding before him, even if he tried to think of it in a positive light—
At least for now, the Empire doesn't have to continue fighting the Eldar, or at least the Dark Eldar.
Slaanesh wiped out the Dark Eldar with a single click.
But the question is, did Hades anticipate that the Comoros would provide power to Slaanesh? The answer is obvious: Slaanesh would become incredibly powerful in a short period of time.
Or will Slaanesh devour all the Eldar, leading to the birth of Death?
Is this why Slaanesh must take back Eldar Mother Goddess Aisha? What is Chaos up to?
In the past, Macardo had passionately proposed to Hades that Slaanesh be introduced to the Comoros, and the Empire had made prior arrangements to ensure that when the two sides fought, the third side would benefit.
But now, if the Dark Eldar wins, that would be fine (but will they really win?), but if Slaanesh takes over Comoros, a large number of Eldar souls and Aisha... Hades can hardly imagine what the Dark Prince plans to do next.
What does the youngest queen want?
Mortarian asked, "And what does the being that helped Him get there want?"
Could it be Makado?
Mortarian looked at Hades, who was the person Makado had the most contact with here.
Hades rubbed his temples.
"It's hard to say,"
He says,
“Macado did tell me about a plan to bring Slaanesh into the Comoros and then trap him in the Comoros Blackrock system—but I’m inclined not to believe it was him.”
“Now that Slaanesh has entered the Comoros… without the Empire having made any preemptive preparations, given Makado’s size, even if Slaanesh is severely injured, he will not be able to fight him.”
This means the Slaanesh have now finished their battle and are well-fed and watered in the Comoros.
If the information Makado gave him is true, then Chaos has most likely also converted all of Comoros' Blackstone systems to the enhanced psionic side.
After hearing Hades' explanation, the Primarch remained silent for a moment.
"Then you are the master of all changes," Mortarian said dejectedly, "but I think you should retain suspicion about Makado."
Hades nodded.
Seeing that the two had finished their brief discussion, Booth continued the conversation.
"The Imperial Guard and the Salamanders have now gone along the Webway to check on the situation in Comoros, and the Makado Expeditionary Force is also preparing to end its expedition—because the fall of Comoros, or perhaps also related to Aisha, has caused the Eldar to flee in disarray."
Is this considered a chaotic power struggle within the Empire, with the Spirit Race suffering the consequences?
“I’m going back to Terra too, I’ll go and ask Makado myself.”
Hades said with a somber expression, "I underestimated Chaos."
He hadn't expected the Chaos to be so proactive.
Then let us fight them.
Mortarion said calmly, even though he was not in good condition, the Primarch appeared confident and nonchalant.
Perhaps things are worse now than drinking soup in Nurgle Garden.
