Hades remained silent. Compared to the Chaos Gods, the Eldar Gods might be less significant; their myths were more absurd and illogical. But perhaps the stories of the Emperor and his descendants were also quite substantial.
"Ok?"
The communication channel rang, and Hades answered it. Aisha, who was beside him, continued to explain incoherently, while Hades gave perfunctory replies to the person on the channel.
"Okay...you can come."
Hades concluded.
Elsa was taken aback. Who was coming? But before she could ask, impatient footsteps approached.
Is it the Lord of Paleness?
Elsa felt enveloped in coldness; she felt utterly desolate. But the next moment, Hades' voice gave her the answer.
"Hey, Old Ma."
"Ah."
Makado strode into the cell with a cold laugh, giving Aisha a disdainful glance with the look of a superior before averting his gaze as if he were protecting his own reputation.
"Go back and approve the documents, you ghost."
Makado gave a mocking smile. "Do you have no need to talk about a joke, or are you just infatuated with beauty?"
“You should ask Old Mo,” Hades chuckled. “I just want to ask something useful… After all, he is a complete Eldar god, you don’t need to be so stingy.”
"she?"
Makado chuckled and looked contemptuously at Aisha, who was pinned to the ground. "Fool."
"It's nothing more than a dog of a dead god who willingly broke its spine to beg Chaos for refuge. At least humans wouldn't produce such a shameful being."
“Even if they do,” Macado said softly, drawing a line across his neck with his finger and revealing a highly aggressive smile, “humans will take care of the scum themselves.”
“And them…” Makado glanced at them again with disdain, “they don’t even have their own leader, their race is torn apart, how dare they still indulge in their old dreams?”
Makado's words echoed through the misty region. Aisha felt herself trembling. She opened her mouth, but found that not a single word could come out.
What...what is he saying?
Elsa felt sad and wanted to cry, but she was deprived of that right.
When did you become so aggressive?
Hades chuckled. It seemed that Makado had played it safe when facing the Lord of Humanity.
“I just have no patience for trash,” Macado said. “There are too many parasites in the galaxy.”
"We've barely managed to keep an empire afloat,"
Hades propped his head up with his hand, touched the lower half of his face, and suppressed the urge to put on the mask.
"reluctantly?"
Makado laughed again, stretched out his hand, and his scepter appeared on its own. "Give me a chair, Hades."
Makado rudely tapped Hades' leg, and Hades raised his hand, conjuring a chair. The old man sat down without any regard for Aisha.
Makado's eyes were bright and piercing.
“I know what you’re worried about, Hades… the Necromancers, the Tyranids… but you know they’ve never truly explored or understood the realm of the Warp.”
"The greenskins have long since degenerated, and the Eldar are fragmented. Only humans are truly capable of accessing this treasure trove. We need not worry about opening a Pandora's box, because you are our true key."
Makado lowered his voice and leaned forward toward Hades.
“I know you’re hesitant, Ghost. Mortal’s warning is important, but humanity needs power. You know better than we do what humanity will face… These tumors parasitizing the physical world are not something the Empire can easily remove.”
Hades looked at Makado, whose eyes burned with golden flames of rage, but Hades' eyes held only calm, dark waters, tinged with a hint of sorrow.
"I just wanted to ask..." Hades said, "Macado, are you alright?"
Makado remained outwardly unmoved; the flames illuminated the darkness.
“Very good, very good,” he said. “You know… Hades, you, me, Lord of Mankind, even Mortarion, Saint Gilles… are no longer what they used to be. We stand on the line between madness and loyalty, bearing the weight of the world. If we continue to passively accept the pressure of reality… we will have nothing left.”
"So what do you mean?"
Hades asked calmly,
"Take the initiative."
Macardo said, laughing to reveal a mouthful of teeth like a lean eagle. The jester leaned forward and placed his withered hand on Hades' left hand, which was resting on the armrest.
“I have a plan to kill Slaanesh.”
“It sounds like Mortarian did something similar.”
Hades glanced down at Macado's hand, hesitating whether to pull it away.
Makado shook his head.
“It’s different,” the Emperor said. “Only you can completely kill a god, Hades.”
“Mortalian was blinded by personal feelings. The first should have been Slaanesh, then Nurgle, but his efforts will not have been in vain. He has provided us with experience and the possibility of success. After Slaanesh falls, we can directly set the Garden on fire.”
"Don't get entangled with these pointless clowns, Hades. The degenerate Eldar have long been the gods' prey, but humanity still has a chance. We will divide the gods among ourselves."
Hades looked at Macado with outwardly calm expression, while Aisha, to their side, tried to shrink back in terror. In her clouded vision, she "saw" the demon swaying beside Hades.
That was the real devil of power and war.
"So what do we do?"
Hades lowered his eyes and saw the jewel chain that appeared on Makado's hand. Hades remained silent, and the black domain rose up. Makado's hand on his helmet melted away, but Makado just smiled at him. When Hades asked this question, it meant that Hades had already begun to think about it.
“Comoro,” Macado said with a laugh, “we’ll gather the Eldar together, then set a fire—we need to exterminate the Eldar first.”
Elsa's sobs began to sound around them, but no one paid any attention.
Shamelessly begging for a ticket... I'm out for today... I'm going back to rest, feeling utterly exhausted.
Chapter 624 Dark Elf Clan
"Exterminate the Spirit Race?"
Hades' gaze fell upon Eldar Mother Goddess. There were two conditions for the fall of Slaanesh: either all Eldar would perish, or all five Old Woman's Swords would be collected—after which, the Eldar Death God would be awakened.
According to Eldar prophecy, the Eldar Death God will be the one who kills Slaanesh.
“Sounds good,” Hades said, “but I think it might be a bit difficult? Old man, the Empire shouldn’t be sending too many troops to attack the Eldar right now.”
Makado shook his head, the old man's cloudy gaze glancing at Aisha, who was sobbing silently to the side.
“Pluto,” he said hoarsely, “now we possess the Spirit Mother Goddess, who has a very strong connection with the rebirth of the Spirit race.”
Makado stared at Hades, trying to read something from the king's face, but to his dismay, Hades remained unchanged—was he really thinking seriously?
“Continue,” Hades said.
“A little warp connection,” Makado whispered. “You shouldn’t waste this opportunity. We can curse this fragmented race, making new life scarce until it is completely reduced to nothingness.”
Hades blinked; that might be a solution—but he wouldn't hand the hilt of his sword to Macado.
“I’m a psionic Muggle,” Hades said. “Are you sure this is feasible? Eldar have extremely long lifespans, not to mention they have Soulstones.”
Even when the Spirit Race dies, their souls do not perish but remain in the Soul Stone. Perhaps for the Spirit Race, death is a more ambiguous concept.
"You can't, you can't do that."
Before Makado could speak, a voice from the side interrupted them. Aisha was breathing heavily as she "looked" at the two humans, but could not say anything.
Makado sneered, arrogantly stood up, and stepped directly onto the altar.
"Of course we can do that."
Hades' attention was completely focused on Macado. If there was even the slightest change in the flow of psionic energy at the altar set up by Mortalian, then he would not hesitate to...
"Be careful, Old Ma."
Hades said in a low voice, while Macardo, idly waving his scepter, strolled over to Aisha, the tip of his scepter touching the ground.
“I know,” Macado said with a mocking smile. “I don’t think the Pale Lord is good with words. If it were up to me, the prisoner shouldn’t say more.”
“Aisha,” Makado read in fluent Eldar, “wife of Kunos, mother of Lilith, guest of the Corrupted Heaven, Eldar Mother Goddess—you should be glad that you are the last complete Eldar goddess.”
"But that won't be the case for long."
What about Sigucci?
Elsa opened her mouth, "No... there's also laughter—"
Makado impatiently interrupted her, a sinister smile on his face. "When the nest is overturned, how can the eggs remain intact? The days when the Eldar hid in the Web and clung to life are over. Their actions based on prophecy have been shattered. It's time for you to face reality."
Makado glanced at the incredulous Aisha again.
“I am grateful that the Pale Lord did not take away the mercy of the Corrupting Heaven.”
Makado told a lame joke, but nobody understood it.
Could it be Xigaoqi… No… Aisha recalled the mask from before. She truly felt Xigaoqi’s power within it, and there was no room for falsehood in that. The power of the Spirit Gods for a moment was also not fake.
But what happened to Sigucci?
“If you truly love your children,” Makado said, standing behind Aisha with a deep gaze, “you should fulfill their dreams. Slaanesh can be killed; isn’t that what you’ve always longed for?”
The Spirit Goddess remained silent; her face was deathly pale, and she knew not what to say.
"If you truly love your children, why are you so stingy with the newborns in your hands? Or are you unwilling to pluck their wings? How laughable and pathetic, the most advanced branch of Eldar now is the Dark Eldar—but do you consider them your offspring, Aisha?"
Because of the Eldar's extremely low birth rate, the Dark Eldar increased their numbers through blasphemous artificial reproduction techniques, with only a small number of true offspring being born naturally.
The Dark Eldar are likely not protected by Elsa, having abandoned the Soulstone—formed from Elsa's tears and believed to protect the soul.
"..."
Aisha remained silent, while Makado clapped his hands and laughed, "The weight of one life is not the same as the weight of another, is it?"
“In this respect, Slaanesh will be more sincere.”
The emperor casually pushed the head of the scepter with his fingertip, causing the scepter to sway.
"At least He likes the souls of the Dark Eldar, no matter where they came from."
Macardo coughed and resumed speaking in High Gothic.
“I never thought much of your so-called beloved son,” Macado said, wrinkles deepening at the corners of his eyes.
"Their numbers are too few, but since you're here, you might as well bestow a curse upon them."
Makado's words crept into Aisha's ears like venomous snakes.
“Aisha, you are the god who knows best how the Dark Eldar have developed. Their lives have taken over an overwhelming position—this is the core of my plan.”
Makado raised his eyes, looking past the despairing Eldar god, and into the unpredictable eyes of Hades.
"Comoros, nestled deep within the Web... Hades, with your power, we can easily break through the Web barrier above Comoros and let the seas of the High Heavens pour into this city of sin."
“Then,” Macado smiled, “we’ll lure the Slaanesh away with the massive deaths of Eldar, and then kill him.”
Hades raised his hand. "Wait, old man, you seem to have casually skipped over two important steps—first, will Slaanesh really go to the Comoros? Second, kill Slaanesh?"
Macado indifferently looked away.
“Slaanesh will pass,” the old man said calmly. “He has already tasted the forbidden fruit after madness, and his desires are swelling. I have seen it.”
“Crazy,” Hades said calmly, “which time? My time?”
Macado nodded. "Otherwise?"
Hades recalled a few painful memories in a distorted way, but he decided to ignore them for the time being.
If it were Makado before his mutation, Hades might have already initiated a 1v1 fight, but he held back now.
Macado said with a sigh,
"...This time, the false gods will not tolerate Him."
A fall of the Eldar, a Hades, Slaanesh has no reason to refuse... but Macardo will not allow Him to refuse.
If He does not come, then Makkado will personally slaughter all the Dark Eldar and then slowly exterminate the other Eldar with the help of Aisha. He has plenty of patience, and the death of the last Eldar will also herald the destruction of Slaanesh—the Eldar Death God will be born.
Macado had been preparing for far too long to completely devour the greatest source of his current power.
"Then how do I kill Him?"
