Tarasin emitted a sharp, explosive sound, his half-blown face from the Emperor's explosion emitting a discordant, out-of-tune sound.

Hades breathed softly.

"Coming for me? You should have the technology to teleport us away directly, right, Tarasin?"

"Of course I do!"

The Endless One roared, "But that's not the point! Thanks to you damned humans, Perturabo! Most of the suppressors on the Eye of Terror have been removed, and among them, the most crucial one is the star of Kadia—its suppressor cannot be destroyed!"

"otherwise?"

"Otherwise, the torn Milky Way will never be able to be put back together!"

Tarasin screamed in fury. He had already sent his clones to repair the suppressors, but most of them had been deliberately destroyed. This meant that even if Tarasin secretly activated the suppressor mode after the battle, the Eye of Fear would expand further in the future...

But that's not the key point. The key point is to bring out the dark side of the Empire. As long as the Cadia doesn't fall, it's like a stone blocking a spring. By activating the suppressor on the Cadia, the psionic environment of the Empire's dark side will gradually dry up over time.

The Eldar awakened the Slaanesh, fine! But humans like playing with psionic powers too, huh?!

Hades lay weakly on the ground, staring at the equatorial sky where almost ten thousand suns were rising simultaneously, his vision blurred.

"All-powerful figure collector... use your invincible technology to think of a solution..."

Hades almost whispered as he saw Tarasim pacing anxiously around him.

This was the first time Hades had seen Tarasin in such a hurry.

“Damn it, this can’t be—” Tarachin said, but he still honestly began setting up some kind of device, which Hades initially determined to be some kind of teleportation device.

“You human brat, the Deathbringer isn’t as all-powerful as you think,” Tarasin said dejectedly. “First of all, a lot of technology isn’t with me, and secondly, a lot of technology is temporarily lost—including the subspace suppressor.”

"In other words, you are temporarily unable to rebuild a new defense against the subspace—nor can you close the Great Rift."

Hades concluded helplessly as he allowed Tarachin to begin dragging his heavy body onto the teleportation device.

“You got it right!” Tarasin shouted.

Hades shifted his gaze, fixing it on Tarasin.

"So Horus's plan is to permanently open the Great Rift to enhance the power of Chaos?"

“No!” Tarachin said, “He pressed down ten cans of Coke, that guy was definitely just killing you to vent his anger—”

Tarasim's voice trailed off; he abandoned the plan to continue transporting Hades and gazed thoughtfully into the distance.

Then Tarasim turned and stared at Hades.

“If I hadn’t come to save you,” Tarasin muttered to himself, his half-blown mechanical eye looking particularly eerie, “you would have exploded along with Kadia under the attack of the Cyclone torpedoes—”

Hades suddenly felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end.

"The dark domain released after your body dies will severely damage the creatures of the warp, and will devour the psionic energy of the Eye of Terror... The Eye of Terror may even become the starting point for the physical world to backfire on the warp."

"Next, the unclaimed dark domain will expand towards the dark side of the Empire along with the abundant psionic energy, slowly expanding and clearing away the remaining psionic energy there."

Trazin was silent.

Hades also fell silent.

They gazed at each other.

"Sounds good."

This was said by Hades.

Tarasin shook his head violently. "No! No one will be able to suppress the Dark Domain then. The Dark Domain will become an existence even more terrifying than the Abyss—I warn you, Hades, you are forbidden from looking at the Fearful Ones with prejudice. We love to retrieve souls! Put aside your foolish ideas!"

Hades blinked and whispered, panting, "As long as you can develop the technology to counter the Dark Domain before all the souls perish, that will do."

Tarachin laughed twice, as if he had heard the funniest joke.

"Dream on!" the Endless One shouted. "Your stuff falls under the category of psionic research—we're completely incapable of developing that technology—are you planning to rely on humans, or the Eldar to develop psionic technology—or have you decided to trust the Greenskins?!"

Hades, panting, stared at the excited Tarasin.

"...So what do you plan to do?"

"Go!" Tarachin swung his arm, continuing to drag Hades onto the teleportation device.

“I’m just a kind passerby! Saving you is enough—I did all this of my own free will! My God, this kind of work should be done by a race, a nation—not by a random passerby!”

That's what they say, but near the Eye of Terror, the fleet of ships lurking nearby began to revive, with only one goal—to prevent the warp suppressor above the Cardia from being destroyed.

Tarasin inwardly condemned the narrow-mindedness of these short-lived species, their actions of destroying the entire galaxy for the sake of their own racial interests and conflicts!

However, to avoid being caught in the crossfire, Tarasin had deliberately hidden the fleet in a remote location, some distance from where they would reach the battlefield.

Moreover, to be honest, Tarachin did not want to get involved in the Empire's war as the Space Necromancer Dynasty—if he waited for the other dynasties to awaken, he would probably face a trial.

The teleportation device began to flash, and light shone. Hades blinked; he felt tears welling up in his eyes.

“Wait,” Hades said.

Tarasin raised his hand, and the light dimmed again.

“I have an idea,”

Hades' gaze was unfocused, and he felt a cold wind howling into his open chest.

"My Dark Domain can forcibly resonate with the Blackrock Obelisk, enhancing its suppressive effect."

Hades said calmly, "Is that alright?"

He saw Tarachin frozen in place, as if his computer had crashed. Three seconds later, the electrical current emanating from Tarachin resumed.

"Calculations show that it's possible."

Tarasin said, looking at Hades with a trembling expression.

"But there are two problems,"

"First, this will damage your body again, and you may face treatment and repair that will last for thousands of years."

“Secondly,” Tarasin said, “within the Eye of Fear, the suppressor defenses along the anchoring direction have been breached. We can no longer channel your excess Dark Domain into the Empire’s dark side—the Dark Domain will spread indiscriminately, according to calculations…”

"The Black Domain, plus the remaining suppressors within the Eye of Fear, are operating at full power..."

"The entire Misty Starfield will be annihilated," Tarasin whispered.

"With the opening of the Eye of Fear, half of the galaxy has fallen, and you—centered on the Eye of Fear, you can bring the entire Misty Starfield into the Land of Souls."

Hades took a deep breath; he felt himself beginning to shiver from hypothermia.

How many people are there in the Misty Starfield right now?

Tarachin looked at Hades, and the two stared at each other. Hades realized that they might be about to lose a lot of people.

In a place unnoticed by either of them, the finger bone lit up in Tarasin's storage space.

Yay! That's it!

Chapter 529 The Soul of Vengeance (Part 1)

As the black tide receded, the surviving skeletons were revealed.

Horus calmly raised his lightning claw. In the dimly lit corridor, one side was a wall, and the other side was a floor-to-ceiling observation window—on which, Kadia was quietly rotating.

The blinding arcs of lightning from the claws cast alternating light and shadow on Horus's face.

His bloodshot eyes were fixed on the end of the corridor from which the soft sound came. He was not in a hurry. After everything had receded, the power was surging back, ugly like the bare riverbank.

In the shadows behind Horus, a colorful, grotesque figure dances—the promised psychic power is returning, filling him with both ecstasy and despair.

But slowly, the ecstasy of regaining power, like a veil, covered the layer of powerless despair.

The despair and pain that originated from the abyss of depravity are now transforming into power, and are once again being used by Horus.

He looked disdainfully at the mist swirling at his feet—it was far weaker than the thick fog he had encountered when he first met Mortarion; the fire-wielder would eventually burn himself to ashes and perish in the flames.

Horus opened his mouth, about to utter a mocking remark about Mortarian's disgraceful behavior, when the Pale Lord's soft voice echoed from the swirling mist.

Spare me... I never wanted to compete with you for the title of "who is the emperor's favorite."

Horus's eyes widened suddenly, and he growled angrily, like a raging beast.

If this is how you understand loyalty, traitor, then I know why you've turned yourself into this inhuman creature.

Horus said dismissively, as he drew the Worldbreaker Warhammer, its golden head gleaming on the black handle.

The Primarch's micro-rotating warhammer reflected a pale and weak face on its smooth, angular head.

The mist churned and spewed out like a gushing spring, revealing a tattered cloak. Mortarion stepped out of the mist and shook his wings.

With each flap of its wings, opening and closing, countless swirling white mists poured out from between the closed inner wings, forming a silent, shrill void resembling a skull at the edge of the mist.

Horus glanced discreetly at his armor's report and, unsurprisingly, saw the pollutant level soaring.

Horus's heart sank; there was a hole in the circulatory system of his armor—this was not a good thing.

Immediately afterward, Horus felt a gust of wind rush past him. Without hesitation, relying on his battle instincts, Horus swung his warhammer and parried Mortarian's attack.

The scythe hung in front of Horus, the rapidly spinning chainsaw chain at its tip hissing sparks that flew into Horus's eyes.

Horus gripped the hammer handle with both hands, placing it horizontally so that it rested precisely on the junction of the blade and shaft of the Sickle of Annihilation.

Even though the four gods bestowed their power and transformed Horus—making his body even more bloated—he became even more obese.

But facing Mortharian, who is even closer to his true nature, Horus is still inferior to Mortharian, and the shadow of the Pale Lord looms over Horus.

The two trapped beasts probed each other, neither loosening their grip, letting their strength pass through their melee weapons, locked in a fierce struggle.

During the prolonged stalemate, the adamantium emitted a mournful cry, and sparks flew everywhere.

You've become weaker.

Horus smiled and said this, but Mortarion silently refused to speak with Horus.

While luring the Dark Realm, Mortarion also expended a lot of his power, making him, who was already a psionic being, even weaker.

The Warmaster's arms trembled, and for a moment, Horus even doubted that his Worldbreaker would break.

He stared madly at Mortarian, that cowardly man wearing a gas mask, unwilling to reveal his true feelings. The Pale Lord's eyes remained largely devoid of emotion, until—

Bright flames lit up the other side of the French windows, the explosion at the moment of the giant ship's death illuminating the void, but this was only the prelude to a series of grand deaths. Countless dazzling fireworks exploded outside the window, illuminating their faces.

In that instant, Horus could see the flickering light in Mortarion's eyes.

The next moment, bang!

Mortarian took the lead in opening the sickle, causing the shaft to rotate and dissipate the force, breaking the deadlock!

The giant scythe slammed heavily onto the ground with a deafening roar. Horus put down his warhammer; his hands were numb and his arms ached.

Horus looked at Mortarion with a half-smile, his face half bright and half dark in the firelight of the exploding warship.

The Warlord watched as Mortarion's figure flickered, and the Pale Lord looked thoughtfully out the window, seeing the Death Guards surrounded.

Poison gas billowed from beneath Mortarian's breathing mask as he stared at the almost dazzling naval battle, muttering to himself.

What you want is...

Mortarion turned his head and looked at Horus with suspicion.

I misjudged you, Horus.

Death said softly, "You want to perish together with me?!"

Annihilation, accompanied by a howling wind, swung at Horus again. This time, the horizontal scythe was aimed at Horus's waist. Horus blocked the attack with his lightning claws, and with a flick of his wrist, he shook off the scythe that had been caught by the lightning claws.

"[Together,]" Horus raised his head, a slight smile playing on his lips. "[Three minutes ago, you held the same thought, didn't you, Mortarian?]"

Mortarion's face darkened, and he slashed at Horus again!

His scythe almost danced indistinctly, but Horus always skillfully parried Mortarian's scythe, as if in no hurry to attack; Horus was merely dragging Mortarian along.

Mortarian was also aware of this.

Horus is stalling for time.

Realizing this, Mortarion's attack speed noticeably doubled! The seemingly broken and slow behemoth in the mist was far from being as sluggish as it appeared!

On the contrary, he was terrifyingly agile!

Even so, Horus's defenses remained impenetrable!

I saw our youngest brother, Omega.
