Hades successfully lost consciousness.

----------

In the dimly lit room, the clichéd remake of "The Great Rebellion 3 (Part 1)" was still playing, its pale light shining on the faces of the people who were fast asleep and unconscious.

Neos sat upright in the middle of the sofa, calmly staring at the screen. In the sweltering dim light, white light shone on his face.

To his left lay the exhausted, sleeping Macado, and to his right, Sanguis lay on his lap, in a deep coma. Neos's right hand stroked the archangel's disheveled feathers, smoothing them out.

At his feet and beside him, a room full of sleeping drunkards lay sprawled out, none of them conscious.

The scene on the big screen shifted to the one where the Red Emperor, with tears streaming down his face, kissed the white wolf girl.

"I love you deeply and would give anything for you—but I have already given my all to humanity,"

Tears streamed from the Crimson Emperor's single eye.

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I can't give you anything better. I'm penniless and naked. I've given everything I have to this race."

The emperor watched this scene calmly.

In the silence, a sound broke the stillness. Hades swayed as he rose, one hand covering his head.

"Uh……"

Hades let out a painful groan from a hangover. He turned his head and saw that the Emperor was still awake. Hades walked over, stepping over a group of drunkards, and randomly picked up a glass with a sip of some unknown liquid from the coffee table in front of the Emperor.

"Give me a sip of water."

Hades said hoarsely that Neos poured him a cup of tea, which Hades drank in one gulp. His throat, which had seemed to be burning, felt better now.

Hades scratched his head, looking like he had just woken up, and looked at the Emperor.

"Happy New Year."

Hades said, "Raise your glass."

The Emperor also picked up his mug.

"Happy New Year."

Chapter 495 A battle of wits, but Corax is always the unluckiest.

【here!!!】

The Khan's shout pierced through the thick fog, followed by a rapid flapping of wings from the distance.

Beside Chagatai, the Storm Prophet Yesugei waved his staff. Cracks appeared on the ram's head at the top of the Storm Prophet's staff, and ominous moss clung to it before withering away and turning into ashes, a symbol of death.

The monster moving swiftly through the fog was rapidly growing larger, with a faint mist rising around the Khan, accompanied by specks of light.

+...directly...take it...+

A distant call came from afar, followed by a surge of roars and the clash of swords.

【hurry up!】

The Khan roared, gazing into the distance where the warlord's swollen figure appeared at the end of the corridor, enveloped by rolling darkness, a crimson darkness descending.

Prior to this, Mortarion directly led the Khan and the White Scars on a short-range psionic teleportation on the Vengeful Spirit, which allowed them to escape Horus.

With each step Horus took, the end of the corridor twisted and contorted. In a daze, the Khan glimpsed a corner of the labyrinth of strange phenomena, a pool of churning blood, and a lush garden. These bizarre realms twisted, churned, and changed constantly. The curtains rippled, and the boundary between the physical world and the warp began to blur.

The Primarchs heard their whispers, filled with annoyance, mockery, and toying. As Mortarion tested their limits, they too were searching for that critical point.

Khan felt the deck beneath his feet becoming unreal, as warp entities began trying to drag them into another battlefield. For the Primarch, who only understood psionic abilities but was not proficient in using them, this was the last thing he wanted to see.

Fortunately, they have beings here who are skilled in using psionic energy.

No, it wasn't Magnus.

The fog churned rapidly towards the Khan's feet, carrying an unsettling aura, and Mortarian's voice reached their ears clearly.

—Whoever summoned me, use teleportation!

The Khan clearly saw Yesugei waving his scepter and hesitated for a moment, but then the Storm Prophets carried out Mortarion's orders without hesitation.

Lightning burst from Yesugei's scepter, which darted into the white mist like a python, causing the mist to tremble.

【withdraw!】

Leading the Kheshig and the Storm Prophets, Chagatai decisively retreated into the increasingly dense white fog behind him; the deck of the physical world no longer existed here.

He stepped onto a corner of what was once a vibrant garden, but now everything had withered and decayed, and death slept quietly on this land.

Chagatai knew that, with the help of Storm Prophet's active summons and his connection with Nurgle, Mortarion had successfully expanded his domain in a corner of the Vengeful Spirit.

Frost rapidly clung to Khan's white armor, and the peculiar scent of psychic magic stimulated his nostrils. Khan was suddenly struck by a profound silence—it was too quiet.

Before fully immersing himself in and stepping into that realm of billowing mist, Khan turned back one last time and saw Horus standing still.

The Khan stepped halfway into the mist, and in the gray-white expanse that had begun to quiet down, he saw the war general receiving the power of chaos.

Horus, who had been completely enraged, had calmed down and stood there silently, his eyes filled with sorrow, as if he were saying his final farewell.

The Khan turned his head and jumped completely into the fog-shrouded abyss.

At the last moment, the Khan did not think about what Horus was grieving over.

Was he grieving the Khan's final "betrayal," or did seeing his old friend bring him a moment of clarity?

Chagatai Khan had no answer to this question; he only knew that even though all was quiet around him, the buzzing of insects' wings grew louder and louder.

The Storm Prophets continued to dutifully chant ancient incantations, powerful energy erupting from their scepters, whose tokens, made of animal and human heads, trembled violently as if caught in a raging storm.

The Khan heard a distant, angry murmur from beside the cauldron. He raised his spoon and waved it to dismiss the other forces.

A putrid stench wafted by, and greenery began to grow anew at their feet. Flies swarmed up the newly sprouted vegetation, while bees and butterflies with curved, poisonous stingers emerged from the blooming flower buds and fluttered into flight.

The plants grew rapidly, making rustling sounds, and flies buzzed and swatted at each other.

The thinning fog began to churn more violently, white mist descended to the ground, and the newly grown vegetation withered instantly. Life and death completed a cycle at this moment, and the vibrant insects fell to the ground, silently and rapidly decomposing into ash.

At the other end, the long chimes of the garden rang out, once, twice, three times... seven times!

Korax, who was on the verge of fainting, suddenly felt Mortarion slow down abruptly. They plummeted through the air, and the patterns on the Pale Lord's wings suddenly dimmed, the once clearly regular patterns beginning to become chaotic again.

Corax immediately realized that the twisted patterns were no longer nested sevens.

The white mist would try to be as silent as possible; otherwise, Corax would hear Mortarion's angry voice.

The Pale Lord, holding Tarasin's hand, reached for his waist. He drew a dagger from his waist; the long, curved dagger, wrapped in dark gauze, had a sharp tip like shattered glass, and an ominous seven-colored light flickered at its edge, indicating its unique toxicity.

Mortarian roughly shoved the dagger into Corax's hand.

...It's too slow.

The Pale Lord said, annoyed by the Storm Prophet's speed; teleportation takes time and requires a stable environment.

Corax gripped the dagger and looked questioningly at Mortarion, the gauntlet hissing as it touched the dagger.

+Ready,+

Motalian whispered,

The moment I reached the Khan's side, he stabbed me, banished me back, and we left immediately.

Korak was speechless. He wanted to ask something, but in the end he only said, "Okay."

Mortarion remained silent. He had originally planned to use the Storm Prophet's direct teleportation and his warp aid to get them away from here.

But now, it seems his presence has once again enraged Nurgle.

Then let's leave in a different way!

As if worried that Corax wouldn't be able to kill him in one blow, the Raven Lord's eyes widened in astonishment as he saw a smaller Death Guard stumble out from under Mortalian's cloak.

It climbed to the very center of Mortalian's wings, just within Corax's reach. The little creature turned to look at Corax, one hand gripping Mortalian's cloak for balance, while the other waved, signaling him to stab it.

Corax, gripping the dagger, stared in disbelief.

Meanwhile, in a place unnoticed by the two Primarchs, Tarasin stared intently at the small Death Guard, the indicator light on his face flashing wildly.

The rapidly flapping wings abruptly stopped, and in a cloud of white mist, Mortarian, carrying two people on his shoulders, broke through the mist and crashed heavily towards the Khan's position.

The Pale Lord saw the Khan and the White Scars fighting against the Nurgle demons that had emerged from the ground, and he clearly felt his domain being gradually eroded and returned to Nurgle.

But thankfully, all of this can now come to an end.

+Thorn!! +

Mortarian shouted as he successfully touched the Khan. In that instant, the Khan turned around in terror, and Kolac plunged in without hesitation.

The sound of shattering armor rang out, followed by Mortarion's frenzied curses. A dazzling light erupted from the Pale Lord's body, and he collapsed instantly like an empty shell, white mist spraying out like blood.

The familiar warp teleportation sensation that Corax was familiar with successfully made him vomit. The massive warp turbulence generated when Mortalian was banished impacted them, instantly shattering all concepts of this area.

Corax sensed Mortarion's presence fading away and disappearing in an instant—the price of being banished. But at the last moment, amidst the violent turbulence and above Mortarion's rapidly receding domain, the Pale Lord abruptly threw them out!

Having been banished, Mortarion will return to where he is most secure—aboard the Deathguard fleet—while the others, Mortarion will use his domain to try to send them into the safe physical world connected to his domain.

The Mortalian realm can be connected to any physical world containing Mortalian concepts and authority, or even to any world where followers exist.

Within the white mist, Corax felt himself being rapidly retreated. He heard voices of praise, words of praise for the Pale Lord. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the Khan and the White Scars being thrown back by the impact and falling into the world beneath the white mist—he vaguely saw that it was the room where the Storm Prophets of the White Scar fleet gathered.

There, the storm prophets were calling upon the Pale Lord, and so Mortarion established contact with that place.

The pale lord's warp power assaulted him, and the raven lord sensed that Mortarion had originally intended to throw him and Tarasin to the White Scar's side.

But only Taracin, who was closer to the other side, managed to fall down successfully, and the area connected by the white fog was rapidly shrinking.

Korax traversed the chaotic warp; he could have entered the physical worlds inhabited by those who called upon the Pale Lord, but at the last moment—

A prayer abruptly stopped him, and the white mist was completely swallowed by ominous darkness. Corax was instantly thrust back into the physical world, lying on the ground in a chaotic and disheveled state. In his newly restored vision, he saw people screaming in terror all around him—people dressed in fine clothes and with exquisite makeup.

And a Spirit race member who was quietly watching him, leading the people.

An Eldar!

And in his ears, the sound of their prayers, which they had just recited together, still echoed.

"Praise Hades."

The Raven Lord keenly realized that this was not a prayer to Mortarion—meaning he had fallen into the wrong place.

Corax thought desperately, "What is all this?"

Praising Hades... what is this?

Before he could even grasp the meaning of those words, a profound sense of powerlessness overwhelmed him.

Great!
