Finally, when Angelte burst into the command room, panting, he saw the Lord of the Underworld forcing the captain to turn towards the Law of Faith at gunpoint. The remaining crew members were working tremblingly in front of the command platform, and several people were lying limply on the ground. Angelte recognized them as the navigator of the Law of Faith.

"I hope they're still alive," Angelte murmured to himself again, "at least the liquid flowing beneath them isn't blood."

The man pointing the gun at the captain slowly turned his head. A crimson light flashed, and Angelte saw a figure with a hideous scar running through his left cheek. His cold, mechanical face was expressionless. On the other side, white hair hung down, and on his pale, calm face, dark eyes, like black holes, were staring at him.

The Lord of the Underworld was staring at him, even seeming quite interested in him.

"Speak, you have five minutes and seven seconds."

Angeltai took a deep breath.

Combined, 4K, awesome! Beep beep beep beep beep!

Chapter 401 Hades Thinks You're Capable

Angertai felt a lump in his throat. He stared at Hades, hoping the other would believe his words.

In the distance, the view through the portholes shows armies locked in fierce combat.

Where should he begin?

"Petulabo betrayed us."

Angelte said painfully,

“Our Lord Luojia originally planned to go to the front lines of the Great Expedition to spread his faith and visit his brothers along the way.”

“Originally, the Word Bearers could not reach this territory, but the Fourth Legion has shown us a path, a warp channel leading here.”

"I imagine your voyage was exceptionally smooth?"

Hades' voice rang out as he held an ivory-white pistol, intricately carved, to the captain's head in the cockpit, leaving only a blurred profile of Angeltai.

“Yes,” Angeltai replied hoarsely, “then the traitor invited us to Cadia, where we saw natives who worshipped a blasphemous alien race and even spoke the language of Colchis.”

As Angeltai's memories deepened, he involuntarily clenched his fist.

He remembered... he remembered...

“That traitor…that traitor deliberately let my master send away the Imperial Guards.”

Angeltai could smell the blood in his own mouth; it was even he... he did it...

In a daze, his pupils reflected the departing figure of Primal Luojia at the cusp of dawn and dusk that day.

Darkness surged up like a tide, and Angorte was momentarily dazed. He then stared back at Hades.

"Don't get caught up in your emotions, get to the point,"

Hades frowned, glancing thoughtfully at Angortai.

"The two armies are still at war, and I want you to know that time is precious."

Angeltai immediately changed his tune.

"After meeting with Peturabo, Primarch Father changed. His temperament changed drastically. He began to compile scriptures about faith on the Cadia, mobilized the Word Bearers on a large scale, and plotted to kill... the Guardians."

Hades glanced at him.

"and then?"

Angeltai took out the Luojia Scepter from his back. The exquisite religious gilded engravings on the black stone scepter shone brightly, whether it was the dazzling brilliance reflected by the gold and jewels under the light or the radiance emanating from the scepter itself.

“I went to my father in private, and he entrusted this to me, and at the same time ordered me to go to you or the God Emperor.”

Angertai watched as Hades, who had been indifferently watching the captain, turned his head. He stared at the scepter, and in an instant, the brightest command seat in the entire room dimmed, and darkness flowed down like a viscous swamp.

They flowed to Angertai's feet, stood on the scepter, their brilliance obscured, but the next moment, all the changes in light and shadow vanished without a trace, as if the dark swamp just moments before was nothing but an illusion.

Hades pondered for a moment, then took out the Emperor's Finger Bone hanging around his neck, examined it for a couple of moments, and then put it back.

This feeling... is very similar to the feeling he got from the Emperor's finger bone? But it's not exactly the same. It's dimmer and mixed with other spiritual energy... It's not the Emperor's spiritual energy, but it's very similar. Is it Luo Jia's own faith spiritual energy?

Unfortunately, the psionic power contained within was not properly guided; it merely resided there, and Hades clearly could not invoke its power through incantation.

Hades stared at Angeltai. This seemed to be a gesture of goodwill left by Luojia for his loyal offspring, but he didn't need it. Hades couldn't imagine how he should use this power, and besides a guy with a motor enthusiast, there was no one else around him who understood psionic energy.

"What else did Luo Jia say to you?"

Angeltai opened his mouth,

“No, my father was not in a good state at the time. He couldn’t control himself, and he just stood there.”

Angelte's words were almost squeezed out from between his teeth.

Hades pondered, "Has Luo Jia been possessed, similar to Fu Gen in the original work?"

It all depends on whether Luo Jia can remain steadfast in the face of the Four Gods, or whether she will ultimately fall like the Phoenix.

Hades pondered deeply, but his conclusion was simple: based on his past understanding of Luojia, Hades did not hold much hope for Luojia.

Hades' task is to preserve the loyalists within the Word Bearers as much as possible, while making the most of their abilities. Even if it means sacrifice, Hades hopes they can fulfill their due value.

Amidst the flames of war, Hades could only strive to achieve victory with minimal losses. For Hades, each piece had a different value, and its priority was marked from the very beginning.

This is just reality.

"...What's your name?"

Hades spoke softly, but he had already guessed the identity of the Word Bearer.

"My lord, my name is Angelte."

Hades silently sensed... He could feel that even now, prayers for him still echoed within the Word Bearers, and since he himself was now on the Law of Faith, Hades was certain that his "response" to the believers had reached its peak.

Hades could also vaguely sense that the soul of Angeltai, standing opposite him, was a blazing, unwavering golden yellow, yet its outermost layer was enveloped in a heavy darkness.

Well, Hades thought, he was loyal and capable.

Then you should go and do his work.

Hades raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The emerald green arcs of electricity on Angeltai's power armor vanished in an instant.

Angeltai looked down in surprise and found that his power armor had begun to repair itself. The metal seemed to have come to life, and the scratches began to heal on their own.

...This can only be described as a miracle.

“Angoltai,”

Angeltai remained silent, even feeling somewhat uneasy. Hades' voice had clearly changed... it was no longer cold and emotionless, but instead carried a sense of solemnity and seriousness.

"I am Hades."

Hades said,

“I need your help, the Order of Silence needs your help, humanity and the Empire need your help... and I think the Word Bearers and the Loka also need you.”

Hades spoke while keeping track of the time. He recalled how the Emperor manipulated people, how the Emperor could get others to work for him with just a few words.

He began to recall his past experiences of being subjected to PUA by Emperor.

Angeltai swallowed imperceptibly as he stared at the black-armored giant. The entire command room began to distort, like a flashing black-and-white image, with an eerie pale green swirling among the instruments. The mortal crew members were almost terrified, but under the terrifying pressure of Hades, they forced themselves to continue navigating the ship.

"The first traitor has already emerged from among his offspring; time is running out for humanity."

Hades said calmly,

“Angertay, the Whisperers were the first whistleblowers of this betrayal. You were chosen, and so were you.”

"Luojia has chosen you,"

Hades' gaze shifted backward, fixing on the two dark spears behind Angorte, where the three-headed hound glared angrily.

“You bear the spear of judgment against traitors, and I have chosen you.”

"Angoltai".

Angeltai took a deep breath, listening to the subtle crackling sounds around him.

"Then what can I do?"

He asked softly, and the being hidden in the darkness spoke without hesitation.

"Save the Word Bearers,"

Hades said,

“You have not yet completely fallen into the abyss, Angeltai. Speak to your fighting brothers, tell them the truth, and then turn the guns of the Word Bearers against the real traitors.”

Angelte stood there, his muscles tense, his jaw clenched, and a hoarse voice escaped his lips.

"Then... sir... is our father, Luo Jia, still alive...?"

Hades stared at him without any emotion.

“The connection between the Primarch and the Legion is powerful, Angertai. If there is still hope for Loka, then his Legion cannot be completely corrupted.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Hades put away the gun he had been holding to the captain's head. He walked briskly off the command platform and strode toward the exit, brushing past the stunned Angerte.

At the same time, other footsteps sounded, and the Soulless One, the Great Sage, and even Thor the Word Bearer entered the command room, taking over the Law of Faith from Hades.

Angeltai saw the great sage stop and bow to Hades.

"My Lord, the Law of Faith has taken over."

That's what the great sage said.

Hades' voice rang out.

“Angeltai, the Order of Silence will now assist you in taking over the command of the Word Bearers to do what you want to do, and what you can do.”

Hades' figure disappeared into the darkness of the corridor, as urgently as he had come.

Angeltai was stunned.

While speaking with Angerte, Hades directed the Silent Order's ships to continue forward, and also ordered the Signal Law to turn around and withdraw from this battle line.

Although Hades could not control the other Word Bearers ships, the Word Bearers' Glory Queen mothership was slowly turning its rudder within the entire fleet. This behemoth directly disrupted the formation of the surrounding ships, while the Silent Order, which had broken apart in the chaos, followed the Law of Faith like fish swimming closely around a giant whale.

The emaciated Cocurtes was adorned with the Law of Faith, like the shadow cast by the Law of Faith in the void.

The massive, sister-like ships were dancing cheek-to-cheek in the fleet of the Word Bearers. They couldn't get too close, or their gravity would interfere with each other; nor could they be too far apart, or the Black Stone Tower on the Cocurtes wouldn't be able to cast an ominous shadow on the Law of Faith.

Without the slightest hesitation, Hades left the Law of Faith directly, and the carrier-based aircraft that had been waiting for the Lord of the Underworld took off and returned to the Cocurtes.

At this moment, the two giant ships had already entered the very end of the Word Bearers' battle line. The Silent Order's black ships sailed out in formation. Next, this dark fleet abandoned the Word Bearers' fleet, which had been scattered and almost completely lost its fighting power in a short time, and headed towards the depths of the Eye of Terror without hesitation.

Without hesitation or regret, Hades knew that if he stayed a little longer, he might have a greater degree of control and penetration over the Word Bearers fleet. However, time did not allow him to do so, and the demoralized Word Bearers fleet was difficult for Hades to utilize in a short period of time.

Therefore, Hades chose to take control of the Mothership of the Word Bearers, the Law of Faith, in the shortest possible time by boarding the ship, using the Dark Domain to disable most of the people's mobility, and ordering the Soulless Ones to quickly clear the area.

Based on his brief observation of the battle, Hades made a bold move. He originally planned to seize the opportunity to bombard the Word Bearer fleet and severely damage the combat capabilities of the Faith Law.

But after a brief assessment of the potential loyalists within the Word Bearers, and after encountering Saul and Angorte in succession, Hades chose a different path.

Angertai can at least further weaken the combat power of the Word Bearers.

Hades thought that if Angortai was even better than he had imagined, then he might be able to count on the strength of the Word Bearers.

Meanwhile, to prevent the Word Bearers from developing a rebellious force after this battle, Hades left Kirkland behind. If Angortai, or any other Word Bearers, fell, the Great Sage would faithfully carry out Hades' orders and leave after destroying the engine of the Law of Faith.

As for whether Kirkland would encounter any unexpected events, Hades left him with some warriors, and on the other hand, Hades had faith in his fighting strength.

Because of the Word Bearer's past history of assassinating the Guardians, Hades did not choose Charon of the Guardians to guard the Word Bearer, even though the Guardians are generally the best choice for such a task.

Now, less than five hours after the Silent Order broke into the Word Bearers' ranks, Hades' Silent Order fleet had already breached the Word Bearers' defenses and was advancing relentlessly into the deeper reaches of the star system.

All that remained behind was a chaotic mess, with the Word Bearers fleet rendered ineffective in the short term.

Meanwhile, the Iron Warriors, who had hoped to achieve victory by overwhelming the Word Bearers' fleet with sheer numbers, never anticipated this turn of events. Instead, Fernus severed their connection with the Word Bearers.

Iron Warriors' mothership, Ironblood, was not present at the moment. If only the number of Iron Warriors' ships at this time were considered, their numbers were inferior to those of Iron Hand. Under the command of Finus, Iron Hand seized the opportunity without hesitation to unleash a barrage of ammunition on Iron Warriors' ships. In an instant, light spears and macro cannons fired together, and torpedoes and carrier-based aircraft flew side by side.

The Iron Warriors, tricked by the Word Bearers, attempted to retreat, but the enraged Medusa would not allow them the chance to escape.

On the battlefield of steel and iron, vast swathes of ship wreckage were pushed back into the cold depths of space by the aftershocks of the explosions. As far as the eye could see, only steel and flames remained. Before the colossal ships built by thousands of years of civilization, blood and life were insignificant and invisible.

“Fenus, the Order of Silence has successfully entered the next area; the plan is progressing smoothly.”

The raging fury in Medusa's eyes subsided for a moment, and the Primarch succinctly stated...

[Received. The Steel Hand will join you shortly.]

The plan of Hades and the Lord of Medusa is for the Silent Order to break out first from the side of the Word Bearers, while the Iron Hand is responsible for depleting the enemy's garrison in this star system as quickly as possible.

The Belis Coronation Zone is the only way to enter Cardia. If the war goes well, the Steel Hand will detach a portion of its fleet to be stationed here.
