"Lord Hades, we hope you will be mindful of your image."

In the darkness of the adjacent room, Charon spoke slowly and deliberately. Hades stood in the darkness in front of him, the light only a hair's breadth away from him. He took off his helmet, revealing a hearty smile on his face.

Inside the meeting room were the World Eaters that Hades had asked Kahn to gather; most of them were leaders of the World Eaters.

Hades wanted to discuss some "points of attention" with the World Eaters before the battle.

Charon swallowed hard. Hades' earlier act of going to the arena alone to chat with ordinary warriors was foolish enough. As another representative of the Empire's future, he should be noble.

When it comes to the Primarchs, the World Eaters are almost incapable of thinking—Charon looks down on them.

Charon just hoped that Hades wouldn't make a stupid mistake during the upcoming docking.

Hades smiled, his face turned to the side, his red light fixed on the Imperial Guard. Charon's golden armor appeared extremely dim in the darkness.

"So what kind of image do you want me to have, Charon?"

Hades said softly.

Charon answered meticulously.

"You need to keep your distance from the crowd, maintain an air of mystery, and be noble. I can be your spokesperson."

Hades spoke, almost in a whisper, his voice so soft that only Charon and Blackfa could hear him.

"Like most of the Imperial Guard?"

“Charon, this is not a way to cooperate with the World Eaters. A suddenly introduced, powerful administrative body will most likely be a disaster.”

"If you don't want to see the World Eaters abandon their support for the Order of the Silent in order to better rescue the Primarch in the upcoming war, then you should shut up."

Charon froze, instinctively turning his head to meet the gaze of Blackfa, who was also looking at him.

In their memories, this was the first time Hades... the King of the Underworld... had warned them.

This did not discourage Charon; on the contrary, he was delighted. It was a good thing, proving that Hades was far more thoughtful than they were, and that they had merely been deceived by the appearance of Hades.

He quickly dismissed his previous disrespectful thoughts.

Karon bowed, his breathing steady.

"As you wish, Hades."

They fell silent. Hades seemed pleased with their reaction. He turned his head, a servant opened the door for him, and then Hades strode out.

Hades' serious voice rang out.

"Good day, warriors. As the Lord of the Order of Silence, I am honored to fight alongside you. However, the upcoming war may be quite extraordinary, so I would like to explain the situation to you before the battle and begin preparations in advance."

"First, I need to introduce the enemies and situations that may appear next. The planet from which the signal was emitted is located at the intersection of the warp and the physical universe, which means that the Legion will encounter many psionic beings."

Hades stopped and paced back and forth in front of the command platform.

"Since the Soulless Ones are special against psionic beings, I suggest that the warriors conduct joint exercises with the Soulless Ones before the Legion arrives at the target planet."

"This is also why the Empire sent the Silent Order here."

Chapter 340 The Prelude to the Bloodbath

While the World Eaters were traveling at full speed to their target planet, Hades began selecting specific World Eaters, training them to cooperate with the Soulless, and teaching these warriors the necessary knowledge of the warp.

In particular, they were warned not to let inexplicable impulses and anger control their minds, as this would give the psionic enemies an opportunity to exploit.

In addition, Hades used his authority to try to mobilize all available resources in the star system. The Great Vortex star system is extremely treacherous, containing pirates, chaos, Eldar, lost civilizations... accidents can happen at any time.

Unfortunately, due to the instability of the sector, only Zalem, the forging world previously saved by the World Eaters, responded to the call of the Lord of the Silent Order. The sages declared their undying allegiance to Angron and the World Eaters and promised to immediately send troops to support the World Eaters.

Zarem was already battered and bruised from the war two years ago, and Hades didn't expect this world, with its basic infrastructure damaged, to be able to muster many troops.

Hades, who frequently dealt with the Cult of Mechanics, knew that it was highly likely the army of the Zalem Forge World would not be able to "arrive on time" at the battlefield, and the sages would provide ample reasons for their lateness after the war.

In other words, no army came to their aid.

Hades took a deep breath. War is always like this.

But if it really was warp chaos at work, Hades will show these warp insects what a beating from the physical world really means—

The premise is that Khorne won't bury anything underground like Tzeentch did.

------------

With engines at full power, the first World Eater ship plunged into the gravitational field of the target planet, followed by the second, the third...

Countless ships, welded with rough armor and turrets, quickly deployed in formation on this wasteland planet. One reconnaissance squad after another was released, and the World Eaters plundered the planet's information with unimaginable efficiency, the chains on their battle axes already humming.

However, everyone except the Master of the Silent Order was shocked when they saw the images transmitted back by the sensors.

Is that... blood?

This planet has drifted in the void for so long that it has forgotten the warmth of its former star. Liquid has frozen into ice and frost during the long winter, but the unusual reddish-brown frost proves that its main component is blood.

Unstable psionic energy rippled across it, and the warp and the physical world were clearly intertwined here. Countless crimson monsters clashed on the Blood Plains, and skulls were piled up into pyramid-shaped mounds of bones.

At the limits of sensor detection, billowing blood mist rose, the earth became stench-filled and muddy, and a chasm, as if cleaved by a giant axe, pierced through the land, with boiling, scalding magma roaring within, devouring any unfortunate creatures that fell into the abyss.

At the edge of the rift valley, a dark red pyramid-shaped building teeters on the brink of collapse. It is scarred and surrounded by the remains of other buildings, but due to the smearing of blood, its original appearance is completely unrecognizable.

Angron's armor signal was inside that building, its mournful cry echoing as if it were about to plunge into the abyss.

Hades took a deep breath and clenched his fist.

Due to the presence of layers of blood mist and blood clouds, the World Eaters cannot directly land in the area near Angron. The only suitable place for them to crash-land is the distant, cold Blood Plains, but the occasional storms make communication between the ground and the air difficult.

In other words, they need to cross a plain frozen solid three feet deep, wade through a river of blood, and then they can enter the area shrouded in blood mist.

During this time, they will face attacks from Khorne's demons and unstable communications with the aerial fleet.

Hades was deep in thought. Kahn looked at him questioningly, while the Master of the Silent Order uttered only three short words.

"You can fight."

--------------

Upon arriving on this planet, the Devourer was filled with an extremely high fighting spirit.

After seeing the entire planet and witnessing the mad and brutal monsters, the warriors hesitated for a moment—but then they realized the potential cowardice within themselves, and their anger and fighting spirit soared.

They didn't even question whether these monsters were too strange.

It would be irrational to advise these people to remain rational in battle.

Hades then singled out the World Eater's leadership, warning them to remain calm. To the other warriors, Hades offered only one piece of advice:

The World Eaters boarded the drop pods one after another, and Hades' admonitions rang out over the loudspeakers and channels.

"Warriors, listen up! Always remember that you fight for the Empire, for the Emperor, for your Primarch! Remember that your anger and fighting spirit burn for the Emperor! Do not lose yourselves in anger, you fight for the glory of mankind!"

Kahn's voice then came through the communication.

"Brothers in arms! For the Emperor! For the Emperor!"

FOR THE EMPEROR!!

Torpedoes and light spears roared as they indiscriminately blasted straight down at the earth. They had no precise targets, for each shot was enough to kill thousands of monsters on the Blood Plains. The earth trembled violently, and huge, ugly craters were blasted open, only to be covered by a new round of artillery fire.

As the first wave of World Eaters' drop pods roared and tore through the sky, the average terrain of this Blood Plains had already dropped by 0.5 meters. Kahn was the first to rush out of the pod, the shattered bones and flesh reaching above his knees.

The heat from the artillery fire began to dissipate rapidly in the wind, and frost visibly climbed up the muddy blood field. Ferocious claws gripping swords emerged from the bloody mud—the monsters had arrived.

"For the Emperor!"

Kahn roared as he charged toward the monsters that were still struggling to crawl out of the swamp. The newly formed frost could not support the anger of a warrior, so he fought his enemies in the knee-deep blood swamp, his chainsaw axe cleaving straight at the crimson monsters, tearing them to shreds as they uttered their first syllable.

Thirteen minutes later, the first wave of World Devourers successfully killed the monsters that were crawling up near the drop point, but as far as the eye could see, more figures crawled out of the distorted space.

Hades' voice came through the channel, intermittently.

[This is Hades, calling Kahn, manual...correction, E0 area; repeat...position correction...please reply upon receipt.]

Kahn opened the channel and shouted loudly. His power armor wasn't working so well in the freezing cold, and he spat out his scorn for the foundry guys for a moment in the snow.

[Kahn received! Location correct! E0 area! E0 area!]

One minute and forty seconds later, the second batch of airdrop pods, steaming hot, crashed down in front of them. The first team of Soulless Ones arrived on the battlefield. Kahn took a deep breath, feeling a certain restlessness deep within him begin to subside.

The Soulless Ones were clearly more familiar with these monsters than the World Eaters, even though the warp density here seemed to make them quite uncomfortable.

The Soulless Ones showed no shock at the existence of these monsters. Working in groups of three, they cautiously assisted the World Devourers in clearing out the red monsters.

At the same time, the complete monster's figure appeared shakily in the distance of the Blood Plains. The cries of "Blood Sacrifice to the Blood God, Skull Offering to the Skull Throne" blew into Kahn's ears along with the fierce storm.

Kahn gazed into the distance as the enormous, blood-red monster spread its wings.

That's all for today. Love you all, have a great weekend!

Chapter 341 Bloodbath Berserker

"Blood sacrifice to the blood god, skull sacrifice to the skull throne!!!"

A chilling wind, accompanied by a howl, pierced through layers of iron chains, leaving behind tattered wings and jagged, broken horns. The demon, summoned from the dark pool of blood, stood abruptly on the blood plain.

Something unimaginable.

Kahn took a deep breath. He immediately realized that no one here was a match for that monster—no, the demon. Without hesitation, Kahn ordered the World Eaters to defend, protect the Soulless Ones in the middle of the force, and call for another round of air support.

The icy winds high in the sky, carrying with them a chilling aura, seemed to echo the monster's roar. The signal was intermittent, and the sky over the main area was obscured by the storm. Kahn was unsure whether the air fleet had received his distress call.

[Terra Time 00:16:00]

On the vast blood-red plains, they had nowhere to retreat.

Then let’s fight.

"For the Emperor! For Angron!"

Kahn roared, his voice even drowning out the demons' howls. He charged forward first, raising his battle axe, and the other World Eaters roared and charged after him.

Like a demonic cannonball, it charged straight toward the brave challenger, Skabrand's angry and painful roar mixed with the joy of impending battle.

[Terra Time 00:16:34]

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!"

Skabrand smashed through any Khorne's army that tried to stop it from charging toward slaughter. The Blood Axe Worldbreaker struck at Kahn, who fearlessly raised his axe to meet it!

"throat!"

A deafening roar, powerful enough to shatter bones, erupted. Kahn felt blood gushing from every muscle in his body. He gritted his teeth, his face contorting violently, as demonic flames blazed before him.

The two faced off briefly. Skabrand opened its bloody maw wide, spewing a stench directly at Kahn opposite it. Fury blazed in the demon's eyes, and Kahn felt a jolt of fear. It was about to attack again!

The Great Demon's other claw gripped the giant axe, the World Destroyer, and swung it down at Kahn. Kahn used all his strength to slide aside the World Destroyer he had just been facing, preparing to meet it head-on—

The sound of the power helmet shattering rang out, and Kahn was sent flying. Skabrand's filthy hooves were still kicking Kahn away in mid-air. The Destroyer hadn't actually swung down; it was just a feint.

[Terra Time 00:16:36]

"boom!"

Kahn slammed into the ground, kicking up blood and mud. Blood seeped from his clenched teeth, and his vision blurred. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of the fragments of his other brothers flying through the air.

He struggled to his feet from the muddy, cold ground, the buzzing alarm of his power armor's insulation system blaring in his ears, the sound of bone plates shattering against his chest. Kahn shook his head, trying to clear his vision.

Then he raised his blaster and charged at the monster's face. The ammunition, which would normally dent or even shatter armor, only made Skabrand squint. The Blood Drinker continued to indiscriminately reap heads.

[Terra Time 00:16:43]

Kahn charged back to Skabrand, raising his battle axe in the name of Angron, and together with the two surviving centurions, attacked the Great Demon. The three mortal soulless beings also pressed close to them, using every opening to unleash a hail of bullets on Skabrand.

A heavy explosive grenade and two strange grenades successfully struck the exile's left eye in succession. Skabrand roared and shouted the name of the Blood God, his powerful, blood-red muscles bulging as he became even more furious and fanatical.

Only blood and heads can quell its rage!

Skabrand swung his giant axe, the back of which struck a World Eater, sending the warrior flying like a pebble, and simultaneously crashing into a Soulless One who hadn't had time to dodge.

"Monster, come at me!"

Kahn roared, spitting out a mouthful of blood, the saliva hissing and corroding inside his helmet.

The Blood Drinker roared with anger and joy. Under the will of the Blood God, it sensed the extraordinary soul of the hero before it and was determined to offer the hero's head to its god to cleanse its sins!

Both massive axes swung with full force at the enemy's head. Its wings spread wide, the cold wind causing the layers of iron chains piercing them to howl. A sharp whistling sound accompanied the axes as they cleaved down—a blow that was impossible to withstand! But Kahn still roared as he raised his axe, the ever-growing stain on the horizon reflected in his filthy helmet—
