You can try it first.

Hades replied.

The ship was too small for the knights to enter, so Hades deployed a Ghost Knight on the deck near the Deathguard landing ship to weaken the warp forces around the landing ship, at least to ensure the feasibility of evacuation. Then Hades selected a dozen veterans to accompany him into the depths of the ship.

If you experience any mental discomfort, including auditory or visual hallucinations, you must report it to me immediately.

The veterans replied to Hades earnestly, realizing the unusual nature of this mission. The images from their nightmares and Hades' sudden seriousness made them understand that the mission had encountered unexpected changes.

The good news was that as they walked together across the corroded, soft ground and through the crew quarters overgrown with humanoid fungi, they encountered no enemies, except for flies buzzing in the damp air and fungi that seemed to be breathing.

Hades took a deep breath, gripped the obituary tightly. The absence of enemies only made him more wary.

The ship was small, and Hades and his men reached the deepest corner of the ship with ease, where they found the source of the signal.

Fungi, rust, and moss crawled all over the room. Countless flies and moths resembled scales on the wall. The fungi piled up densely in one corner of the room, and one could vaguely see the scarlet cloth, faded by being soaked in a viscous liquid, at the base of the fungi's bloated roots. Traces of dried tar were splattered on the wall.

The signal originated from that "mound of fungi".

After confirming that there were no other threats or ambushes in the room, Hades strode over, poured the Dark Domain into the obituary, and carefully and quickly cleared away the mushrooms on the surface—a tattered explorer appeared before them, fungi bursting from his parts-covered abdomen, red and blue wires comically entwined around the mushrooms.

He was dead. Hades, as a master foundry, could easily tell that the foundry had died from an electrical disturbance caused by his own deliberate disconnection; in other words, he had committed suicide.

What exactly happened? Could it be that the lost Ruster system has been invaded by Nurgle's forces? But now is the timeline of Ran Dan. Is it too early for the Four Gods to launch a large-scale invasion in the physical world at this time?

Hades frowned unconsciously as he carefully examined the explorer, hoping to glean as many clues as possible from him.

found it.

On the explorer's current recorder, Hades saw traces of common Mechanicus ciphers, information that was deeply hidden, which the explorer recorded with these tiny, unnatural vibrations to convey the message he wished to convey.

Through radio wave recording, the explorer was also trying to send out this information at the same time, but the rampant growth of fungi hindered this process, forcing the explorer to send only the simplest distress signal.

If we were to compare this to a normal human being, it could be said that this person controls their own heartbeat and transmits information through their electrocardiogram.

The bizarre and ingenious behavior is something only the Mechanics could do, but it also causes them considerable pain. The unstable electric current causes them to tremble involuntarily, vomit, and suffer intellectual impairment, ultimately struggling as they watch their engines burn out and perish.

Enduring such pain, what exactly was he trying to convey? Hades frowned and began to decipher the information within these waveforms.

【Ruster One Mineral Planet Explorer 08】

Fungus, pain.

The Just Star System is under attack by the alien Memanik and is about to fall.

Requesting reinforcements, reinforcements, reinforcements, Ruster, the Great Planetary Furnace, requesting reinforcements.

Manic, large fleet, three types of aliens, weak psionic, Mandeville point, not blocked. 2.3, 4.3, 5.7.

Escape, the warp, seek reinforcements.

Reinforcements, fungi, reinforcements.

Attacked, attacked, fungus, green, white, space warrior.

Fungus, pain, reinforcements, I don't want to die, fungus growth, pain, pain, pain.

It hurts, it hurts, it hurts.

Juste requests reinforcements!!!

The dense reinforcements and fungi intertwined and grew together, becoming the explorer's last words. Until the very last moment, he was still trying to call for reinforcements for the model. On the recorder, the recordings of the forced activation of the signal transmitter formed a long queue.

Hades took a deep breath, silently mourning the explorer's passing, "May his soul return to the God of Machines," and then opened the communication channel.

[Unconfirmed reports indicate that Juste has been attacked by the fleet of weak psionic aliens, the Mimanic, and is on the verge of falling.]

【besides,】

Hades's expression was grim. He lowered his voice, "In the explorer's last words, he mentioned seeing white and green Space Marines."

Mortalian on the other end of the channel was stunned and stood there in disbelief.

Hades, retreat immediately.

Mortarian's voice came through the channel with unquestionable certainty. Everything was too strange, and he didn't want anything to go wrong now.

Hades then located a hidden database on the ship based on the string of numbers in the explorer's last words. The database contained maps and battle reports of the Just system, as well as information about Memanic.

After confirming that no other information had been left behind, Hades and his party chose to evacuate immediately. Hades took the opportunity to send a message of burial to the few still-breathing fungal mounds, perhaps containing only machine servants. Hades did not want to think about their identities.

After Hades' ships left, the Death Guard's main fleet couldn't wait to launch a saturation bombardment on the small ship, and the Pale Lord wished he could make the ship disappear completely.

The sudden and bizarre scene plunged the Deathguard fleet into a long silence once again. They couldn't linger in the warp, but should they advance or retreat? At that moment, the First Legion's urging also arrived for the Deathguard.

According to the explorers' last words, they encountered the Nurgle forces after entering the warp. Does this mean that Ruster in the physical universe does not have warp forces, since it is still extremely difficult for warp forces to infiltrate the physical universe?

—Or is Nurgle's gaze also fixed on this place?

Nurgle was like a damn fly, constantly buzzing around them. Hades wanted to curse today too. He was in a good mood to fight the aliens, but who knows why this filthy thing came looking for him.

Yes, there is a code!

Chapter 229 Hello, Alien Race, Your Calamity Has Arrived (Part 1)

The cold radio waves carried an inhuman arrogance, urging and questioning from the First Legion. War was approaching, and there was no time to hesitate.

Advance, or find an excuse to retreat; it is not advisable to linger in the subspace.

The ship's appearance disrupted the Death Guard's planned course, and the explorer's last words only added to the mystery. Mortarion's expression was particularly grim. A Space Marine in white and green armor, accompanied by Nurgle's curse? Mortarion didn't think this was a good omen.

Currently, Mortalian only knows of one "former Death Guard"—the traitorous apothecary Radon.

But could it really be him? With too little information, Mortarian couldn't find the answer.

In contrast to Mortalian's visibly displeased expression, Hades, returning from the expedition, remained as composed as ever, calmly continuing his various tasks.

But was Hades really as composed as he appeared? No, with a major battle looming, the legions needed someone to stabilize morale.

Hades was actually more panicked than Mortarion.

Hades initially thought the Space Marine would be the defector apothecary, but Hades, who was familiar with the warp, knew that time in the warp was not continuous, so it was possible that it wasn't the apothecary.

Could that be something that exists in the future?

However, in the timeline Hades knows, if the Death Guard had betrayed them, their armor should have been pure green, not white and green.

Faced with the small boat covered in fungus, the two Deathguard members who knew the truth were clearly unsure of themselves.

A question lingered in their minds together—

If that Death Guard is a traitor and a follower of the Nurgle, then if he appears on a battlefield belonging to another legion under the banner of the Death Guard...

Mortarion buried his face in his hands. For the Primarch, this was the most terrifying scene he could imagine: his unclean, corrupt offspring appearing before the other Legions. What would that mean?

Hades was even more alarmed because he knew that Randan had wiped out two legions, and this juncture was clearly too coincidental.

Other legions might be fine, but now the Death Guard is about to face the First Legion, the First Legion that is full of riddles and is ruthless even when it comes to killing its own people!

Hades suddenly had an unrealistic thought: what if the Lion King thought the Death Guard had fallen, and then the First and Sixth Legions, in their bloodlust, also wiped out the Death Guard?

No, no, no, that way he wouldn't get anything out of it, it can't be like that.

Cough cough, this is too outrageous. Hades decided to put the idea aside for now.

Hades and Mortarion, both distressed, discussed the current situation at length, but they were unable to arrive at any definitive information. Meanwhile, every minute and second they spent discussing the situation, the Deathguard fleet was caught in the tides of the warp, and the longer they remained anchored, the more likely they were to encounter danger.

Returning to defend wouldn't be a good option, as it would be defying the Empire's orders. And if they didn't attack, what if a corrupted Death Guard appeared on the battlefield ahead? Were they just going to wait for the First Legion to come and behead them instead of killing them?

Just in case, and on Hades's advice, Mortarion, already feeling utterly hopeless, began writing his self-incriminating statement should other legions see the Fallen Deathguard. While writing it, Mortarion was as if he were dead. Hades saw Mortarion's trembling hand several times, as if he were about to take a knife and commit suicide.

While Mortarian wrote this, Hades began writing distress calls. If anything went wrong, he would call for help from the space wolves bombing the nearby star system. Since there were only wolves around them, so be it; wolves were better than nothing.

Ultimately, the Death Guard chose to attack, and a draft plan for the attack on the Ruster system began to slowly appear in the Death Guard's strategy room.

With war imminent, Mortalian, having finally finished writing a statement to prove his innocence, has recovered somewhat and begun to deploy operations against the Xenomorphs.

Faced with Ruster's information blockade, the Lord of Death carefully selected thousands of his mortal servants, these loyal and resourceful mortal crewmen to serve as the vanguard in this war.

Some small ships were hastily forged by the Foundry into merchant ship designs, equipped only with necessary light defensive equipment to reduce weight while maximizing speed. This voyage had no return journey; they would bring the Death Guard the latest news from Ruster.

In the warp near Mandeville, the Death Guard, scythe in hand, silently awaits the war.

This is a war that will determine the survival of the Memanik race. Every Memanik knows this, and they have left their homes in an attempt to cling to the very fabric of survival.

They successfully landed in the skies above the Ruster star system as planned, and with a large fleet, they successfully occupied the mining planets on the outer edge of Ruster. Using the mining planets as stepping stones, they relentlessly devoured this doomed human star system.

Only one thing remains: take down Ruster's home planet, this yellowish, rusty-looking world. Its alien technology and resources will provide the Memaniks with hope for continued progress. Once they take it, a fertile oasis lies not far away, and the spark for their race's survival and expansion is within reach. They will not let their homeland down.

Even with most of the galaxy fallen, and despite the Memanixes sending surrender messages countless times, the humans on Justus main planet continued their fierce struggle. These two-legged apes, covered in tubes and metal, refused to accept the Memanixes' attempts to persuade them to surrender.

It doesn't matter, the Memanic warriors will destroy them. On the barren, orange-yellow land of Juste, the Memanic warriors march through the sands, death is inevitable.

But then natural disaster struck, taking advantage of the shadows of night.

As the curtain of night fell over the nearest observation point to Mandeville, a fleet of merchant ships of common human design forcibly jumped out of Mandeville, streaking across the observation point like a meteor shower.

The fleet immediately began to snipe, with bright fireballs appearing one after another. The wreckage of ships floated beside the scorching light, tracing the merchant ship's path on the horizon. However, many merchant ships still managed to escape the first line of defense. Speed, numbers, and the cover of their comrades allowed them to continue advancing relentlessly.

The outermost defense fleet of the star system immediately dispatched ships to pursue them, but to the ships of the Memanic, these human merchant ships were small and agile. As they began to scatter and fly towards different planets, even the Memanic had to send out a large number of ships to intercept them. The anti-aircraft guns in the star system turned and aimed, trying to shoot down these humans who seemed to be startled.

In the instant that Mimanik's gaze shifted, a horn of the giant emerged from the rippling blue waves of Mandeville Point—he raised his sharp, brutal spear and hurled the first, fatal blow at Mimanik and his companions.

For the Mimanic people, who live in seclusion in a remote corner of the world, this will be their first and last time experiencing the allure of interstellar warfare.

Slaughter, destruction, the end of war is only the complete death of one side, and death has already raised its scythe for this.

Chapter 230 Hello, Alien Race, Your Calamity Has Arrived (Part Two)

Darkness is often accompanied by cold, which reminds Ou of the winter on her home planet Memanike. Her caretaker would always take her to see the thin layer of white frost that had formed on the metallic ground. The smooth metallic surface was covered with delicate frost and snow. Her caretaker would lead her, and every step they took would leave a mark on the ground.

After that, all of that was gone. There will never be a second home planet in the cold universe. Sometimes O would go to the edge of the ship, to those places where life was not needed. The coldness of the void sprinkled thick frost on it. This was the only thing that could comfort O. It would remind him of that little dot that they had left behind, which had long since been swallowed up by war.

"How wonderful it would be if there were no war," O thought, but the races in this universe all seemed to be war fanatics.

Snowflakes drifted down, frost and snow settled on Ou, but Ou did not move; it remained on guard, for this was its duty.

The No. 1 mineral planet in the Just Star System is closest to the Mandeville Point and farthest from the star. It is empty, cold, and snows at dusk. O had thought more than once about transforming this planet into their home, but the land here is coarse, dry yellow sand, which it disliked.

Above the deep sky, some tiny white dots lit up and then disappeared in an instant. O knew that it was their fleet intercepting the enemy. With the entire star field blocked, those small and fragile human ships were nothing more than flies buzzing around a riverbank, annoying and not worth mentioning.

But it was those seemingly insignificant human individuals who forced the Memaniks to leave their homes. Ou had faced the human army stationed on this planet; their individuals were more like cells parasitizing metal and machines, incredibly fragile yet possessing a high-spirited and greedy nature.

The soft snow piled up thicker and thicker on O's body. The Memanecs were four-legged beasts with metallic shells, and frost spread across O's metallic shell, giving him a brief and dreamlike comfort—

A scream erupted as the air raid siren blared with deafening force, and an unbearable turmoil suddenly filled the air. What was happening? Ou hurriedly sounded the alarm and looked in the direction the siren was warning of; the sky began to tremble.

Debris from the ship roared through the sky, vanishing in a burst of flames. Twisted, tiny Memanic dots detached from the large pieces of wreckage, screaming as they faced their deaths.

Following the scattered wreckage, a large group of dark green aircraft cast shadows from the thick clouds and flew straight toward the temporary base in Europe.

"Defense! Defense!"

The Ou issued a warning, and the soil in front of it exploded the next moment. It nimbly dodged them and looked up at the sky again. The alien bombers were fighting with their air defense system, and bombers were falling from time to time. The air battle had begun.

It wasn't over yet. A meteor shower descended upon the land, and O quickly realized that it was the enemy's troop transport pod. They had successfully carved out an airspace using bombers to deploy their soldiers.

Memanic's forces immediately began to assemble and reorganize, their target being the air defense base that the Mechanicus had seized from the planet's surface, which was originally deployed by the Cult of Machines.

The affairs of the sky are left to the air force; their task now is to guard this land. The clanging of steel resounds—the sound of war drums.

The Memanic creatures, each the size of a small tank, quickly regained their fighting spirit. Their towering bodies reflected a shimmering light in the darkness. Even though they had been caught off guard by the surprise attack, they were confident because they had already wiped out most of the humanity in the galaxy.

O shook his head and joined the troops in preparation for the charge. The Memanik were highly mobile creatures with metal shells and specially made swords. The Memanik's enemies would only be torn to shreds in the gale. Their bullets were useless except for vital parts.

The enemy's landing point has been determined; it's not far from here, and the enemy is rushing straight towards them. This is exactly what Manik wanted, and they are ready to charge.

"Warriors! Keep your speed up! For Memanik! For the future of our race!"

At the general's command, the bugle sounded the charge, and the earth trembled beneath their feet. Ou drew his sharp sword, its blade still dripping with the fresh blood of humankind.

Soon, soon. O will be able to smell the filth in the air that is unique to humans. They will realize that their bullets are useless against the Mimanikes. O will give them the most painless possible death, or they can choose to surrender, which O will accept.

The next moment, enemy artillery rained down, drawing streaks of light amidst the swirling snow. But it was no use; these shells would be intercepted by their anti-aircraft defenses.

Europe continued to increase its speed—brilliant fireworks exploded in the sky above Memanic, and beneath each firework, emerald green, fluffy tassels hung straight down to the ground, quickly reaching the battlefield.

This is—a liquid?
