"So, senior, who have you revealed your abilities to?"
Hades pondered for a moment, “The entire Zero Company, the soldiers from the Seventh Company who are fighting alongside me this time, the three of you, Mortarian, and the two Mechanicus personnel.”
He did not add the Imperial Guard or the Silent Sisters.
Hades noticed that Vox was clearly hesitant. Just as he was about to speak, Garo interrupted him, "Hades, for the sake of the Legion's daily security, we would like to understand your capabilities in detail and take protective measures accordingly."
Hades was speechless. He opened his mouth, but said nothing.
It seems that his performance on the battlefield has frightened Galo and the others, but from the perspective of the Legion's actual situation, Hades' existence does need to be restrained. For example, the Legion has ways to punish Space Wolves and White Scar's think tanks.
However, it's one thing to understand rationally, another to bring it up on your own initiative, and yet another to be approached by someone else.
Hades sighed softly. "As you can see, you can regard me as a powerful untouchable, and I can control the size of my own anti-psychic domain, that's all."
"But as far as we know, untouchables cannot directly cause humans to faint or even die."
That's because they're not strong enough.
Hades said impatiently, "Why isn't there a strong Untouchable coming out?" and then he didn't need to explain anymore.
"The human soul also belongs to the subspace, which is untouchable. No, I may be an exception. I can shield and eliminate the subspace within a space. Once the subspace is eliminated, the human soul will naturally dissipate, and a body without a soul is just a corpse."
After Hades finished speaking, the three people in front of him all fell into deep thought.
Are there any restrictions on how you use your abilities?
When Gara spoke, even psychics, unless they were simply using psychic powers or were skilled, needed a period of preparation time to chant incantations and communicate with the warp.
"No, except that the strength of the anti-psychic domain decreases with distance."
Hades helplessly shrugged, and as he did so, the three of them clearly felt a chill, but the feeling immediately disappeared—Hades had just released his anti-psychic domain.
Blanca swallowed hard; this was a power even more unreasonable than psionic energy.
This kid, even with this ability, still thinks about taking advantage of the situation every day?
For a moment, the three of them looked at Hades with much more complicated expressions.
"Then what suggestions would you give us for how to prevent this from happening to you?"
Hades looked at Galo helplessly. The map of Yan was too short. Galo knew he had asked too hastily. He didn't stare at Hades, but stared at the wall somewhat awkwardly.
"Well, not at the moment."
“If it were an extremely powerful psionicist, my abilities would be suppressed, but I think it’s unlikely that such a powerful psionicist would appear on the Death Guard.”
"If it were an attempt to physically attack me, I might unconsciously pull half the boat into a catastrophic explosion before I die."
The four fell silent at the same time. Finally, Hades' slightly embarrassed voice rang out, "Uh, hahaha, it seems there really isn't any good way."
“However,” Hades pointed to his metal left brain, “the Emperor has insured my abilities, so you don’t need to worry too much about it.”
Hades decisively concealed the fact that the Emperor's insurance had actually been loosened, and that the insurance had been strengthened by the figurine king Tarasin.
“Moreover,” Hades said seriously, “I am the last person who wants to see this happen, so rest assured, if I sense anything is wrong, I would rather jump into the Death Guard’s garbage chute and be thrown out of the Endurance.”
"Sigh—" Blanca sighed deeply, "In the end, nothing was said!"
"Uh, could we move my office and dormitory to the most remote spot on the Endurance?"
Blanca rolled her eyes. "That's a great idea." The veteran stepped forward and punched Hades hard. "You kid, I trust you. Don't let anything happen to you."
"If you act up, I'll be the first to rush up and beat you up."
Galo nodded silently. "I understand your general situation now, Hades. I'm glad you're willing to tell us this. I'll consider it when I get back."
"I hope you don't mind, I have to do what the former legion commander Balasin entrusted to me."
Hades nodded. "I understand. Gara, don't overwork yourself. If you need anything, you can come to me."
Blanca slapped Hades hard. "Never mind that. Go and comfort the warriors you've frightened."

Chapter 212 Group Touching
That's a power that no human can possess.
Countless lives were lost in a fleeting moment, and on the blood-soaked ground, death was as dense and ubiquitous as ears of wheat in a wheat field.
That is not a power that can be understood; it is a fragment of information hidden in the layers of ancient warp texts. For beings who have only seen the calm surface of the warp, it is an undercurrent that they will never witness in their lifetime.
That is Hades, the god of the underworld who controls the waters of the River Styx.
But now, they have witnessed it, and they are even terrified.
Even the most blasphemous and defiled sorcerers and psychics will use spells and wild dances that people can hear and see to incite a response to power. They act and then gain power. People can clearly see the bright fluctuations of psychic energy moving around them and know that calamity is coming.
But Hades doesn't need to do that. He simply stands there, and with a single thought, life withers away.
The name "Hades" began circulating once again within the Deathguard. Initially, the name simply meant a powerful Deathguard, a technical sergeant, a Barbalusian with close ties to the Primarchs, and a voracious warrior. But now, the word had returned to its most primal meaning. From those Deathguards who loved to study in the archives, they learned the true essence of this ancient Terran word—
Pluto
Details about Hades' participation in the Druun campaign have long been hidden and encrypted, but the veterans who fought alongside him showed an incomprehensible silence and fear. The title "Pluto the Death Guard" was first circulated among these veterans, and soon, even the Death Guard, who disliked talking the most, sensed a mysterious aura in the snippets of conversation in the training room.
Logically, this term is disrespectful, since the Legion Commander Mortarion's nickname is "Death," and "Pluto" might be too much of a burden for a warrior. However, the veterans who experienced that battle all expressed their approval of this term.
"That's Hades, the god of death—"
"Did I disturb your training? I am Hades."
Hades pushed open the door somewhat awkwardly. He was also reluctant to disturb the soldiers during training time, but the two most common places for them to gather were the training room and the canteen. Hades couldn't very well give a speech in the canteen, could he? He wanted to have a proper meal in the canteen.
The groups of people who were training quietly stopped, without making a sound. They tacitly formed a semicircle, while maintaining a certain distance from Hades.
Those who hadn't been able to get a good look at Hades on the battlefield were now observing this Hades, who wasn't wearing a helmet and had a finely crafted backpack, the kind that master craftsmen often carried, hanging on the back of his slightly worn power armor.
Putting aside Hades' half-metal brain, he does look and behave like a human, but after that incident, people don't intend to treat him as a human being.
The atmosphere was a little tense. Hades belatedly realized that he had a feeling that the crowd was about to disperse at any moment. Fortunately, Blanca was behind him, which could ease the tension.
"This is Hades from the Zero Company. I've met most of them in Druun. This time, we'll all get to know each other better. From now on, the Seventh Company will mostly be operating with him."
Blanca spoke, tapping Hades' armor to signal him to speak.
Hades glanced at the crowd. He could sense that malice mixed with fear, confusion, and curiosity was hidden beneath respect. People certainly respected and loved the Hades of the past, but that did not affect their fear of the current Hades.
People spontaneously feel fear of power far exceeding their own, and this fear reaches its peak when the principles governing that power are beyond their comprehension or countermeasure. Even Space Marines, at the edge of their strong psychological defenses, will experience such a shadow.
Hades sighed and said seriously,
"I have noticed that after participating in the last battle, everyone was confused and puzzled about my abilities. This was indeed my oversight, failing to make everyone understand my Dark Domain."
"I apologize here, and I can explain my abilities to everyone, but for certain reasons, I will not reveal everything. Please rest assured that the Legion Commander and Garo, the management of the Death Guard, already understand my abilities and have deployed response measures for my situation."
"My ability, in short, is an anti-psychic power. You can think of me as an untouchable who stands in opposition to powerful psychics. My ability is more like weakening and annihilating 'psychic power.' So on this battlefield, when the enemy was a psychic creature, my ability was fully utilized, which led to the situation at that time."
The crowd remained motionless, silently watching Hades and pondering his words.
Blanca stepped forward, approached Hades directly, and patted Hades on the shoulder.
"That's it. Do you have any questions? This kid is incredibly busy. If I hadn't brought him over from the foundry, he'd probably be somewhere cleaning oil stains with those techies."
Hades smiled gratefully at Blanca. "Although I'm often in the foundry, I still come here to train. I've just been busy lately."
"So, does anyone have any questions? Or can you try to experience my abilities? Don't worry, I'm very confident in controlling my abilities."
Hades tried to smile gently.
Hades' words caused a stir among the veterans, and finally, a man with a scarred face stepped forward.
"Company Commander Hades, I clearly witnessed your performance on the battlefield, those men..."
He spoke with great difficulty, "Although we are fragile mortals, you didn't even have time to resist in an instant, and no one within range survived. Could this be..."
Hades blinked.
“Powerful psionicists can also do this, but it’s rare to see powerful psionicists in regular battles.”
"In fact, everyone has some kind of psychic talent, more or less."
It is actually the soul. However, this is forbidden knowledge within the 30k realm, which spreads the truth of the Empire. (Original text has been modified; thank you for the correction.)
"My ability is to damage this part of psionic energy. If a bullet is shot at me, I should dodge it."
"Oh, you still might not understand even if I told you. You'll know once you experience it."
Hades strode over and grasped the veteran's hand. The veteran looked like he wanted to run, but managed to control himself.
Hades looked at him with a smile, "Ready?"
The old soldier looked constipated, but he still managed to nod.
"Hey, don't be so scared," Hades thought to himself, but he still carefully controlled the little bit of the dark domain he usually kept in his body to touch the old soldier. Although the concentration of this part was very high, it was only a little bit, so it wouldn't be fatal. At most, it would just devour a little bit of the light emanating from the old soldier's soul, and he would recover in a few days.
But Hades didn't expect that the veteran in front of him would kneel the moment he made contact with the Dark Domain—literally, instantly. The veteran only felt a blackout before his eyes, and then his limbs seemed to be out of his control. When he opened his eyes again, he saw Hades looking at him with concern.
"Uh, sorry, are you alright? You just passed out for five milliseconds."
Hades dragged him away from making close contact with the ground. He was panting and slowly felt himself regaining control of his body.
"Fortunately."
A sudden feeling of disgust flashed by, but when the veteran looked at Hades again, he felt a strange sense of familiarity. Was this what it felt like to survive a catastrophe?
Only the feeling of powerlessness that follows slowly fades away.
"This feels amazing, not like what I imagined?"
He said, word by word, "If it were still this intensity, and I had prepared for it in advance, I think I should have been able to have a brief moment of control over my body before losing consciousness."
"Really? I really didn't know, after all, I can't experience my own Dark Domain myself." Hades smiled and patted him. "How does it feel?" He nodded, and Hades released his hand.
"Anyone else want to try?"
Realizing that there seemed to be no consequences for this behavior, the crowd became eager to try it, and Hades smiled and welcomed them.
"Why is he in the medical room again?"
Mortarian stood before his potion station, the deep liquid dripping from the distillation apparatus.
"He used his anti-psychic field at a high intensity to demonstrate his abilities to the soldiers of the Seventh Company, and the pharmacist diagnosed him with overwork."
Releasing the Dark Domain is simple; the difficulty lies in precise operation. Hades has been working very hard to restrain the Dark Domain so as not to harm anyone.
Mortarian frowned. "Don't tell me he showed them off one by one."
Gara was silent for a moment. "Actually, at the request of several warriors, Hades repeated the demonstration several more times, targeting each individual."
Mortalian fell silent. Death stared silently at the pure black potion, leaving streaks of tears on the glass wall.
That's how he is.
After a long silence, Death muttered to himself, "If it weren't for his personality, people would have been even more afraid of him."
"Just maintain that image. I don't understand why he's always so concerned about these things."
Perhaps Hades is such a being. Mortarion decided not to delve into this matter. Perhaps one day when Hades no longer cares about these things, he would feel real fear and unease.
"All right."
Mortarian carefully picked up a small bottle and examined it. The thick, black liquid lay quietly inside, like an abyss absorbing endless light.
"Sir, is this?"
Just one drop is enough.
Mortarian muttered to himself, "Just a drop, whether it gets on your skin, is inhaled, or is ingested."
"The person will immediately fall into a coma, and all physiological states will freeze at this moment."
"And for him, the duration of the toxicity was almost eternal."
Mortarian silently divided the liquid in the bottle in two, then handed one half to Garo.
"Give this to Hades and let him keep it himself."
“If he asks what it is, just say its name is ‘liberation’.”
“As for this part,” Mortarian held up the small vial, placing it flat before his eyes, the volatile liquid inside lying quietly and obediently, “I will make further improvements and refinements, and its name.”
"Let's call it 'trust'."
