"--boom--"
They arrived at their destination.
The Fourth Knight crashed into one side of the main hive.
The Grim Reaper's scythe gleamed.
Death was flowing through the city, and people scattered like panicked rats, trying to find a corner they thought was safe.
The chilling sound of footsteps echoed through the intricate network of pipes in the city, punctuated by a cacophony of piercing gunshots.
"Those who give up resisting will not be killed."
"Don't fight, you won't get hurt."
“All Galapa people must take up arms and resist the invaders.”
Unfamiliar electrical buzzing and the familiar voice of the main pipe rang alternately from the loudspeaker. The excavator huddled trembling beneath her assembly line, his brain, still reeling from his third daily dose of silent nutrition, was a complete mess, utterly bewildered by what was happening.
However, with a sharp cracking sound, the steward's voice disappeared completely, replaced by "Put down your weapons."
She didn't know what it meant to put down her weapon. She didn't have a weapon yet. Did she have to find one before putting it down?
But only adults had access to weapons; those in the lower classes who touched them would be hanged.
She wanted to run away, but the footsteps grew louder and louder, and the digger couldn't help but shrink further into the corner, covering her mouth tightly—
A huge, bone-white object appeared before her eyes, covered in blood.
"Well!"
She let out a small gasp, but the giants did not notice the little mouse.
"Go to hell!"
The familiar voice of the overseer rang out, but after a gunshot, everything fell silent again.
Only the rumbling of footsteps could be heard.
When the heavy, rapid footsteps finally faded into the distance, the excavators cautiously climbed out from under the assembly line.
She saw that the former supervisor who used to whip her was dead, his body parts scattered everywhere.
The pungent smell of blood grabbed her, and she turned around shakily—
The workshop door was blown open, and on the other side, the supervisor's army had covered the entire hall.
They are more than just giants.
The excavator swallowed hard, blood blurring her vision, and her heart pounded.
The gods descended, bringing about the end of all things.
Fernando silently led the Undertaker squad along the winding corridor of the hive city, close to the main force of the Second Company.
Their branch has about a thousand people.
After the Fourth Knight finally came to a stop, Mortarian said only one sentence to all the soldiers.
"Go ahead,"
He says,
"Anyone who attacks you with a weapon shall not live."
Under the Primarch's command, a total of 11,000 Death Guards dispersed into companies and advanced toward several locations marked as suspected command centers.
Take the enemy's head and win the game.
Meanwhile, the Undertaker's think tank dispersed into different branches to provide support for the warriors.
The Untouchables did not come to this battlefield, and unmodified mortals could not adapt to the intensity of the battlefield here.
However, a commotion broke out at the front of the company.
"The Undertaker, we have been attacked by psionicists."
They encountered a psionic army kept under the control of the rulers.
The voice of the second company commander rang out from the channel.
Fernando immediately led his squad toward the front of the line.
On the floor above in this corridor, pharmacist Radon watched with satisfaction as the molten bomb counted down.
"Thank you."
He turned around and spoke to the moss-covered psionic who had crawled out of the garbage heap.
"Thank you for showing me the way."
They were unable to end the battle before reinforcements from other hives arrived.
The intricate terrain of the hive city and the endless sea of people slowed down the Death Guard's pace.
Death was slowly consuming Mortarion from behind, as the enemy used heavy weapons in the hive to deplete too much of their own strength.
But the Primarch knows what to do at this moment.
Mortarian ordered a squad to continue toward the main control room, while he led the remaining army to hold off reinforcements in the wasteland near the hive.
Previous training experience for this situation was put to use, and led by Mortarian, they relied on their tenacity to tear open scar after scar on the Galapagos wasteland.
however--
"Surrender, we surrender."
The tyrant's words traveled through the radio waves. Mortarion waved his hand and ripped open the tank opposite him with his scythe, the driver's head flying off along with the metal.
"Not accepted."
Motalian said.
"The Death Guard does not accept your surrender."
Tyranny must be eradicated; every vein of it flows with filthy blood.
Accepting surrender means preserving tyranny, and that this victory will be meaningless.
The enemy troops in front of him began to collapse, but Mortarian did not give the order to stop.
His troops continued firing on the trembling people who had already abandoned their weapons.
Above the hive capital, the supreme ruler still trembled as he opened his gates, trying to make the other party aware of his goodwill.
Gunfire rang out.
I haven't been feeling well lately, so my writing hasn't been great... I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused...
That side quest was originally there, but I felt it was too distracting, so I removed it. Now, its sudden appearance feels abrupt... My apologies...
And then there's Motalian... I'll refute him in the next chapter...
Chapter 127 Good news is back, bad news is coming.
half a month later.
Mortarian stared at the sky with a gloomy expression.
Above the gray skies of Galapagos, the roar of fighter jet engines grew louder and louder.
They were the judges who assessed the Death Guard's first campaign.
Mortarian tapped his scythe in frustration. Their timing hadn't been good, because the apothecary had told Mortarian that Hades, who was in a state of suspended animation, was about to wake up—
Let's rewind the time to about ten days ago.
Mortarian had been watching with satisfaction as the Galapa star system crumbled under the Death Guard's attack. After capturing the supreme ruler of the Galapa main hive, they would easily reap the remaining, panicked, and fleeing army.
When news of the ruler's beheading spread, they faced no resistance afterward.
Mortarian was gratified to see that the order painstakingly maintained by the tyrant had been utterly destroyed by the Death Guard.
But his joy didn't last long.
The urgent message from a distant star system arrived almost simultaneously with the transport fleet. Before Mortarian could even react, a small spaceship was shoved into the fold by the passing Mechanicus transport fleet.
We were ordered to transport Death Guardian technical sergeants, but when we found them, they were in poor condition, and the commissioning sage was already dead.
But the Sage of Kirkland had dealings with our world-building.
Therefore, we provided the necessary treatment to the injured and made no demands regarding their findings.
[This is the full video footage of when we found them, as well as the video footage of our subsequent contact.]
"A mechanical sage, clearly pushed forward, swiftly appeared before the forging master Enrique, who had come to greet the sage," said Enrique.
An encrypted video was transmitted.
After unloading the ship's hold and saying these words, the mechanical sage steered the small boat and sped away.
Enrique had a bad feeling. He stared at the cabin as the automatic hatch slowly opened—
A half-dead, unconscious Hades; a ragged, tattered servant of the Technologist; a pile of sage remains; a black obelisk dug out, still covered in dirt (clearly, the ship's large cabin was there to transport this obelisk); and a woman imprisoned in a static field.
Enrique's vision went black, but even so, he immediately called the Death Guard's apothecary and the Legion Commander.
This is why, even with a mountain of post-war documents to process, Mortalian sat silently in his private medical room, his expression unreadable.
In front of him, several pharmacists were busy, and cold liquid slowly dripped from the IV bag.
Mortarian had intended to call a few more apothecaries, but it was clear that the Death Guard was in short supply after the Battle of Galaspa.
"A standard state of feigned death, sir."
Finally, the apothecary Leo stood before Mortalian, who exuded an aura of unapproachability.
Mortarian remained motionless, letting out a snort.
"His second heart was pierced by a sword-like weapon, and then Sergeant Hades forcibly injected him with a stimulant, which caused a second injury to his heart."
Motalian still remembers Hades' report that it was just a "simple" scientific expedition.
He stared at Hades, who was pale and looked like a corpse due to excessive blood loss.
The pharmacist's words interrupted his thoughts.
"In addition, Sergeant Hades suffered from moderate exhaustion, extremely low blood sugar, and some internal bleeding in the right hemisphere of his brain."
Mortarian blinked slowly, but the apothecary opposite him, as if frightened, immediately continued speaking.
"The good news is that after being replenished with nutrients, and through a certain awakening procedure, Sergeant Hades can recover from his suspended animation."
"However, we need some time."
This was indeed good news that put his mind at ease, so Mortarian let the apothecary in front of him go and let him go back to work.
He blinked, slowly turned his head, and stared at the mechanical servant in the corner of the medical room, who was trying to minimize his presence.
"You're Hades' assistant, right? Explain yourself?"
As Jin tried to shrink his size, a burst of lightning crackled out.
"I want you to explain clearly what exactly happened."
Jin felt like she was just a hair's breadth away from dying.
past.
A dry wind blew up.
Jin turned his life support system to its lowest setting and leaned against Hades, who was in a deep coma, waiting for rescue.
After an unknown amount of time, the shuttle bearing the emblem of the Mechanicus and the world's exclusive emblem cast nearby slowly landed in front of them.
saved.
Jin thought, but in reality, he was not completely saved.
He had to use his shattered mechanical body to stand up and negotiate with the sage opposite him.
Their current situation is nothing short of a windfall for mechanical sages from other forging worlds.
The corpse of a sage, with its storage module still intact, and some alien technology—the sages who value knowledge above all else will not let them go easily.
But Kim knew what to do.
