Information about the new enemy was quickly transmitted to the logic engine, and the Kirkland Sage began to analyze and summarize it.
At the same time, the refined and simplified intelligence was also transmitted to Hades.
The moment Hades saw the data transmitted by the sage, he couldn't help but curse in his mind.
Damn it, this is a plague toad!
The Plague Toad can be understood as a large water bag filled with venom. It is a low-level unit in the Nurgle army, so summoning it is not very costly.
But this is the scene now.
"Retreat! Retreat!"
"Suppressive firepower, then the first wave will come down!"
As if responding to Hades's words, the plague toads outside the city walls rolled their darting eyes and then leaped into the air—
Some of the toads charged directly into the ranks of the defenders on the city wall. Those defenders who were slow to react were crushed to death on the spot by the toads, or killed by the toads' tongues or spikes.
The quick-reacting Christian guards hurriedly began firing.
However, the toad that was targeted by the concentrated fire exploded, splattering venom everywhere!
Those splashed with the toxins immediately cried out in agony and collapsed to their knees, the poison and plague instantly breaching their wet defenses.
The Sage Kirkland began to calculate.
The instruction was issued by force.
Those Papal Guards who were close to the Plague Toads and had already suffered injuries suddenly rushed forward, using their power swords to hold back the toads on the city walls, while the remaining Papal Guards quickly retreated and dispersed into the streets, and once they were at a safe distance, they began to set the toads on fire.
"Ahhhh!"
"For Om Messiah!"
The Sage Kirkland did not control the vocalizations of the Guardians, and screams and praises rang out together.
"boom!"
For a moment, the sounds of toads exploding and the hissing of the corrupted Christian guards mingled together.
Meanwhile, some of the toads below the city walls, seeing that the firepower on the walls had been suppressed, calmly jumped to the side of the raging flames—
"vomit--"
The venom that filled the entire toad was vomited out, and the viscous fluid surged and covered the corpse, causing the originally fierce flames to immediately dim.
The zombie army has resumed its advance.
Using the personnel who had been sacrificed earlier, the first echelon of the Christian guards successfully withdrew to their designated positions. Once the distance was secured, the large toads were shot dead.
Hades stared at the darkened video feed, gritting his teeth.
Damn, I was careless.
Plague Toads are not a particularly high-level unit; these creatures, which wallow in the mud of Nurgle Gardens, are even despised by Nurgle.
But now, the other side has used these toads to break through their first line of defense.
Although Hades knew that the first line of defense was bound to collapse, he was still quite unhappy that the enemy had defeated it in such a cost-effective way, and even killed several of his followers.
The crackling sound of electricity brought Hades' attention back, and he tried to keep his breathing steady.
No, Hades, you can't be distracted.
After briefly transferring the Nurgle units he knew to be relatively common to the Kirkland Sage, Hades gritted his teeth and continued to maneuver the servo arm deeper.
As Hades worked to repair it, tiny black lightning bolts began to coil around the Black Stone Obelisk again.
Meanwhile, on Hades' side, which was focused on repairs, fierce street fighting broke out on the other side of the city.
The first zombies arrived fearlessly and detonated the landmines that had been planted beforehand, while the heavy machine guns positioned at the main street control points began to unleash their firepower wildly.
Enemies fell in droves, their lives flowing like droplets from a waterfall, plunging irrevocably into darkness.
But they have already achieved their goal.
Even though these zombies lacked the means to attack from a distance, and even though they fell in droves, the continuous flow of zombies quickly began to compress their encirclement.
The densely packed landmines were swept away by the other side with lives they didn't care about.
They walked silently and slowly down the familiar streets, the fog slowly spreading with their deaths.
But the friars were no pushovers either.
When the zombies pushed back into the area of the second echelon, the assembled Guardians of the Faith were already able to deal with the zombie horde.
The precise calculations and alternating firepower erupted, arcs of electricity flashed, and skull-shaped megaphones spun in the air, singing the glory of the god of machines!
Even though they were controlled by the code, some brave and belligerent apologetics began to curse the blasphemers on the other side.
They remained deadlocked for a while.
But the deadlock was soon broken by an unexpected visitor.
A roar resounded, and a towering figure loomed faintly in the mist.
The heavy thud of footsteps echoed in everyone's heartbeat.
The earth is shaking.
Soon, the figure burst forth amidst a fierce burst of flames!
The dense barrage of bullets pierced through the bunkers, whirling and tearing apart the firing troops.
The humming, massive chainsaw sword tore through the mist, and also through the vanguard of the Apostles—
A colossal vehicle, over eight meters tall, suddenly appeared before everyone!
Why? Why would a Knight Mech appear on a planet with such low military strength?!
Upon realizing what was on the other side, the Kirkland Sage immediately let out a desperate, electric wail.
It's over! It's all over!
Knight mechs were originally a type of logging machine from the Golden Age, but by the time of the Great Expedition, these powerful machines had long been monopolized by the Mechanicus and the Knight families.
These knight mechs, larger than the Dreadnoughts but smaller than the Warhound Titans, are capable of turning the tide of battle!
Without heavy firepower, and without another mech or Titan, how can they fight the enemy?
Whether their current firepower can break through the opponent's ion shield is a question!
Sage Kirkland stared in disbelief at the image that was coming his way.
But actually, even without the channel, the towering figure of the Knight Mech was clearly visible, even standing at the edge of the square.
That wasn't a standard model mech.
It is smaller than the standard model of mech, and is entirely black. Apart from the carved vines, it has no other decorations representing the knight family.
The most bizarre thing is that its pilot was not in the cockpit of a normal mech!
On the broad arms of the knight's mech, a black pole resembling a cross pointed straight into the sky, with transmission pipes climbing up the pole and connecting directly to the severed limbs of the pilot above.
Above, a white-haired woman with severed limbs hangs her head, bound to a flagpole by carved black vines. Her long hair covers most of her body and face, and she is emaciated with her ribs clearly visible.
"Save them."
She appeared dead, but in the sage's vision, information and data were flowing continuously from her severed limbs into the tubes.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
The pilot appeared to be a target, but in reality, the ion shield's glow subtly reflected around the woman.
What... what is this?
O Om Messiah!
But there was no time for reflection. The sage controlled the Guardians of the Church to dodge while rapidly gathering information about the enemy.
What comforted him somewhat was that this mech was not the fully armed model owned by the Mechanicus; it was rather rudimentary.
Perhaps due to its unusual driving style, there were no weapons deployed above it.
The only weapons he was equipped with were two chainsaw swords and a long-range rapid-fire cannon.
Moreover, the sage realized with disbelief that the black pole was made of black stone and the woman on it was an untouchable!
An untouchable has appeared in a psionic army!
Demons, these warp psionic beings, can utilize the Untouchables?!
Kirkland felt that what he had seen and heard today was enough to overturn all his previous experiences.
Under the mechs' surprise attack, the Christian Guards didn't even have time to retreat, let alone retaliate.
The dense mass of zombies beneath the mechs also prevented the Guardians from using molten weapons!
[Retreat! Retreat!]
With the engine calculating a zero chance of victory, Kirkland opted to disperse and withdraw its existing Guardians, as their presence could not delay the enemy mechs even for a second!
The enormous mech headed straight for the plaza!
The Sage Kirkland has begun compressing information, transmitting his knowledge to the most robust storage.
Although he had previously been reluctant to let others take control of his knowledge, now, faced with all this absurdity, the Sage Kirkland felt compelled to let posterity know it.
However, Hades, who was still engrossed in repairs, suddenly threw something at the sage, interrupting the sage's compressed information.
"I'm counting on you, sorry."
The sage stared at the weapon Hades had thrown at him.
The pointer on the win rate calculator moved slightly by one degree.
But that's alright, the sage continued to compress all his life's knowledge, preparing to transmit it.
On the other side, the assembled zombies resumed their ritual summoning.
The buzzing of flies began.

Chapter 125 The Visitor
The bells tolled, thick fog rolled in, flies buzzed, and the earth trembled.
The colossal machine burst through the fog, wisps of water vapor trailing along its arc, before roaring as it hurtled heavily toward the plaza.
The slowly moving zombies were left far behind by the charging mechs, but soon the buzzing of flies began, and a swarm of black flies broke through the fog, following closely around the mechs.
Kirkland Sage stood beside the bunker next to the main street, the fire control and computing systems calculating.
[Almost there, just five more minutes.]
A familiar voice came through the channel.
Data transmission occurred, arcs of electricity flashed, and the Guardians of the Church scattered around the Sage immediately opened fire. Under the Sage's meticulously calculated barrage, every shot hit its designated location.
However, the firepower didn't hit the mech; instead, it struck the swarm of flies beside it. The dense swarm of flies exploded in flames, creating a large ball of fire in the air. In a few moments, the dense swarm of flies around the knight mech thinned out.
Upon seeing this, the swarm of flies behind the mecha immediately flapped their wings, preparing to fill the gap and provide defense for the mecha.
however--
"BANG!"
The bomb that had been buried in a building next to the main street detonated, causing the building to collapse. Bricks and dust poured down, completely obscuring the mech's massive body.
However, in the sage's view, the ordinary earthen and wooden building did not harm the figure at all. The faint light of the ion shield flashed out from the dust, and the tall knight mech only paused for a few moments before rushing out of the dust again.
Keep firing.
He knows what to do!
For the God of Machines! For Om Messiah!
Kirkland Sage shouted in the channel, while the Guardians of the Faith dispersed. After calculation, they realized that the enemy's cannon fire at this distance was enough to destroy their obstacles.
As expected, the moment the Sage and some of the Guardians withdrew from their defenses, flashes of light erupted from the gun barrels on the opposite side, and the place where they had just taken cover was immediately blown apart, with terracotta fragments scattered everywhere.
The main street intersection, which was originally defended by most of the troops, is now deserted, and the flat ground is covered with debris from defensive structures, making it pitted and uneven.
Those who hadn't had time to evacuate, or those caught in the crossfire, lay groaning on the ground, some of them blown into large chunks of flesh.
