Chapter 98 Blood Demon
Chapter 98 Blood Demon
The young master picked up his teacup, blew on it gently, but didn't drink it immediately. His gaze fell on the storage bag for a moment, then shifted away.
"Fellow Daoist Su's sincerity is admirable."
He put down his teacup, his smile remaining gentle.
"But Song simply cannot bring the dead back to life."
Su San remained silent for a moment, then slowly stood up.
"In that case, I have nothing more to say."
He put the storage bag on the table back into his pocket and his gaze fell on the young master's face.
"Just remember, Fellow Daoist Song, what people do is seen by Heaven. Some things, once done, must be repaid."
The young master's smile froze slightly before returning to normal.
"Is Fellow Daoist Su threatening me, Song?"
Su San turned and walked towards the courtyard gate. When he reached the gate, he stopped and said something without turning his head.
"Just a piece of advice."
The courtyard gate closed behind him.
The young master sat by the stone table, looking at the closed door. The smile on his face gradually faded, replaced by a gloomy expression.
He picked up the teacup, drank it all in one gulp, and then casually smashed the teacup on the ground.
"The Su family... does have some backbone."
He stood up, turned around, and walked into the house.
……
In the dimly lit room, only a single, yellow oil lamp burned on the wall.
Su Zixuan huddled in the corner, her hands chained together, the other end of the chain embedded in the wall.
Her clothes were tattered, revealing large bruises and wounds. There were dried tear stains on her face, and her eyes were lifeless.
She couldn't remember how long she had been locked up here.
Three days? Five days? Or longer?
There is no day or night here, only that oil lamp that never goes out. Occasionally someone brings her water and food, leaves it at the door and leaves without ever speaking to her.
Only that person will come.
Young Master.
Every time he came, he wore that chilling smile. He would sit in the only chair, watching her, sometimes speaking, sometimes silent, then he would approach and extend his hand…
Su Zixuan closed her eyes, not daring to think any further.
She had fantasized countless times about Su San coming to rescue her. Her third uncle was so powerful, he would definitely be able to find this place and rescue her.
She even imagined the scene of Su San bursting through the door, and the scene of herself rushing into her third uncle's arms and crying bitterly.
But every time I open my eyes, all I see is that tightly closed door, that dim lamp, and that cold stone wall.
There is no Su San.
There was no one there.
Footsteps came from outside the door.
Su Zixuan's body trembled violently, and she instinctively shrank back, her back hitting the cold stone wall, with no way to retreat.
The door was pushed open.
The young master stood at the doorway, the dim light illuminating his face, making his handsome features appear exceptionally cold.
He walked in and casually closed the door behind him.
Su Zixuan gritted her teeth, trying not to make a sound. She knew that the more afraid she was, the more excited he would become.
The young master squatted down in front of her, reached out, pinched her chin, and forced her to raise her head.
"I'm tired of it."
He said it in a flat tone, as if he were saying the weather was nice today.
Su Zixuan froze.
The young master released his grip, stood up, and looked down at her.
"Someone will come to pick you up in an hour."
A flicker of fear flashed in Su Zixuan's eyes, and she begged for mercy in a trembling voice.
"No, young master, I... I'm willing to be your furnace, just don't kill me."
Her voice was hoarse and almost inaudible.
The young master did not answer, but simply turned and walked towards the door.
Why...?
Su Zixuan’s desperate voice came from behind him.
"I trusted you so much..."
The young master stopped, but did not turn around.
A moment later, he pushed open the door and went out.
The door slammed shut behind them.
……
One hour later.
The door was pushed open again, and this time two men in black entered, both of whom were at the mid-stage of Qi Refining.
They stepped forward, unlocked the chains on the wall, and pulled Su Zixuan up from the ground.
Su Zixuan did not struggle or shout; her eyes were empty, as if she had lost all hope.
Two men in black, one on each side, carried her out of the room, through a long corridor, and to the entrance of a hidden cave.
Outside the cave entrance, the night was deep.
Under the moonlight, the young master of the workshop stood there, hands behind his back. When he saw Su Zixuan come out, he glanced at her, said nothing, and turned to walk up the mountain.
Two men in black carried Su Zixuan and followed behind.
The mountain path was rugged, and Su Zixuan nearly fell several times, but the two men in black pulled her along without any mercy.
Her wounds ached terribly from the pulling, but she gritted her teeth and remained silent, though her trembling legs betrayed her.
After walking for about the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, a low mountain appeared ahead. On the mountainside, there was a dark cave entrance. The area around the cave entrance was barren and desolate.
The young master stopped in his tracks.
"Right here."
He said, turning to look at Su Zixuan.
In the moonlight, his face was half-lit and half-shadowed, making it impossible to see his expression.
"Go inside, someone is waiting for you."
Su Zixuan looked at him; those eyes, which had once been full of affection, were now empty.
You'll regret it.
She said her voice was very soft, yet exceptionally clear.
The young master was slightly taken aback, then chuckled softly.
"Really? Then I'll wait."
He waved his hand, and two men in black carried Su Zixuan toward the cave entrance.
Su Zixuan did not turn around.
She walked into the cave entrance, but the two men in black behind her did not follow; they simply stood guard outside the entrance.
The cave was deep and darker as she walked. Su Zixuan groped her way forward, her feet on rough stone steps, the sound of her own footsteps echoing in her ears.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, a faint light suddenly appeared ahead.
The light was blood red, shining from the depths of the cave, eerie and chilling.
Su Zixuan's heart tightened suddenly, and she subconsciously slowed her pace.
But she didn't stop.
She continued walking forward, toward the blood-red light.
Finally, she arrived at a spacious cave, in the center of which sat a pitch-black coffin.
The coffin was covered with strange patterns that swirled together to form a vortex, from which the blood-red light emanated.
The coffin lid slowly opened.
A figure sat up from inside.
It was a face so pale it was almost transparent, covered with a layer of writhing, bloody liquid.
He looked at Su Zixuan, a glint of greed flashing in his eyes, and a strange smile curled at the corner of his mouth.
"Good, your Qi and blood are sufficient."
Zhang Tie stood up from the coffin, his blood flowing down his body and turning into a blood-red robe.
He walked up to Su Zixuan, reached out his hand, and touched her cheek with his fingertips.
Those fingertips were as cold as water. Su Zixuan trembled all over, but she gritted her teeth and did not dodge.
Zhang Tie raised an eyebrow slightly.
"He's got guts, though."
He withdrew his hand and turned to look in the direction of the cave entrance.
"That kid from the Song family certainly knows how to pick his timing. I'll have to thank him properly once I'm healed."
Su Zixuan followed his gaze but couldn't see anything.
……
Outside the cave entrance, in the dense forest not far away, a figure was lying behind the bushes, quietly watching the cave entrance on the mountainside.
The moonlight couldn't reach the place where she was hiding, and her presence was completely concealed by some means.
She watched as the young master left with two men in black before revealing herself.
"As expected, it's here. This pure blood demon aura confirms it's the right place."
