Hogwarts wizards who signed in to Middle-earth...

Chapter 452 Manway's Gift

Chapter 452 Manway's Gift

Chapter 452 Manway's Feedback

Receiving so much information and knowledge at once made Dui feel a bit overwhelmed.

Looking at his rewards from this sign-in session, he was puzzled. The mysteries of the universe and celestial bodies? What use would this be to him?

Although the world of Arda has many similarities to the former Earth, it also has corresponding planets such as Mercury (Erenmir), Venus (Eyarendil), Mars (Carnil), and Jupiter (Alcalinki).

However, these stars are not true celestial bodies. The first set of stars were created by Varda with the primordial twilight when she first entered Arda, serving as auxiliary light sources for the two giant lamps.

The second batch of stars were bright new stars created by Varda using the silver dew of Telperion, one of the two sacred trees.

Then there is the sun, the moon, and most importantly, the star of Eyarendil, which are piloted by Maya'arion in the Sunship, by Tirion in the Moonship, and by Eyarendil in the Venkirot, carrying the fruits of the golden tree and the blossoms of the silver tree.

The Silmarillion, a star formed in the sky.

It can be said that this world does not have real celestial planets. Stars surround the world of Alda, forming a celestial canopy to bring light to the night.

"Duyer, we are very pleased with your gift. To thank you for it, you may make a request." Manwei's voice brought Duyer back to reality from his thoughts of receiving the gift.

Dui was somewhat taken aback by what Manwë said. He had originally intended to give a gift simply to build a good relationship with the King of Arda.

Unexpectedly, Manwei was so generous, letting him make his request directly.

Dui wanted to decline, but seeing Gandalf's signal, he swallowed the words in his throat.

Duy understood Gandalf's meaning: he should not reject Manwright's offer.

Given this, Dui fell into a brief moment of contemplation.

Since he couldn't refuse, he also couldn't make excessive demands, otherwise he would displease the King of Valar, which would be a loss.

After only a moment's thought, Dui made his decision. Under the calm and profound gazes of Manwei and Varda, he respectfully pleaded, "Your Excellencies, King of the Sky and Queen of the Stars, my request may be too greedy, but I wish to learn your wisdom and knowledge. If this request is excessive, please do not take offense!"

Upon hearing Dui's words, the hall fell silent instantly.

Manwei's azure eyes fixed on the person making the request below, then he smiled, showing even greater appreciation.

"Duir, your request is not unreasonable. Those who pursue wisdom and knowledge are always commendable in Valinor. You wish to learn from me, and I agree."

Then He changed the subject, smiling, and said, "But if you want to learn Varda's knowledge, you need her consent; I cannot make that decision for her."

"My love, what do you think?" Manwei asked his wife beside him with a smile in his blue eyes.

Varda looked down at Dui, who was quietly waiting for an answer, and a smile appeared in her eyes.

"I've agreed to your request."

Upon hearing this, Dui could not hide his joy. Being able to learn from Manwei and Varda was a huge benefit in itself.

Gandalf, who was attending to him, was even happier for his friend Dui and sincerely congratulated Dui along with Eonwe.

Dui thus settled permanently in the Ilmalin Palace, studying under Manwë and Varda, and exchanging ideas with Gandalf, Eonwë, Varda's handmaid, the starlight Maiar Ilmalri, and other Maiar.

Manwë is the king of all of Arda, and he is very busy ruling and governing the entire world every day. Therefore, Dui spends most of his time learning from Varda, the Queen of the Stars.

Time always flies when you're on Mount Taniktiel. Except for going down the mountain every now and then to meet with his wife and children, Dui spends most of his time on the mountain.

He followed Manwë and Varda as an apprentice, comprehending the mysteries of the world's creation and learning how Manwë and Varda wielded power.

Manwei and Varda also imparted their knowledge to Dui without reservation, explaining their understanding of all things and their insights into the origin.

Thus, Dui stayed in the Irmalin Palace for over five hundred years.

Under the tutelage of Manwë and Varda, Dui drew upon his own knowledge to gain a more thorough understanding and comprehension of the power of time he possessed.

The use of the power of time has become more flexible and in-depth.

He even completed a journey upstream in time, wandering through the river of time, successfully crossing the time vortex caused by the War of Wrath, and continuing upstream, from the First Era to the Two Trees Era.

He witnessed the glory of the Two Trees and saw Morgoth and the evil god Ulgolianth conspire to destroy them.

Then he continued his journey through time, entering the Age of the Great Lamps, where he saw the colossal golden and silver lamps, like pillars of heaven, being toppled and destroyed by Morgoth.

As Dui continued his journey, he witnessed the Valar shaping the perfect world and battling Morgoth.

Finally, Dui reached the upstream end of time and arrived at the beginning of creation.

Time, though mysterious and powerful, needs to rely on space to exist. Dui's steps came to an abrupt halt, stopping at the beginning of the world.

He wandered in Arda, a place still dark and before Enu entered the world, constantly sensing time at its source, expanding his powers, and gaining a great deal.

With Dui's current strength, he can control the time domain that covers the entire Valinor. Within this domain, he can make time stop, reverse, or speed up.

Dui and Eonwe, the leader of the Maya, once had a match.

Under the influence of the Time Domain, even the mighty Eonwe was frozen in place, his weapons disarmed by Dui.

The referee for this competition, Manway, even personally tried Dui's time domain.

However, the difference in strength between Dui and Manwei was too great. Although he managed to make Manwei pause for a moment, Manwei ultimately broke the time constraint with his powerful strength.

Even so, Manway praised Dui's power.

Dui has now traversed the upstream of the river of time, leaving only the downstream unexplored.

The downstream of the river of time is more dangerous and unpredictable than the upstream. Its direction is uncertain, and every action taken now may trigger a temporal storm and countless variables downstream.

If you accidentally take the wrong step, you will fall into a quagmire of time, completely lost and sinking into the future, unable to find your way back.

Therefore, Dui was extremely cautious about the duration of his journey down the river.

However, if he wants to obtain complete authority over time and qualify for promotion to Valar, he must traverse the downstream river of time and bring the entire river of time under his control.

However, Dui was not in a hurry, so he slowly explored the downstream of time.

During his five hundred years in the Ilmarin Palace, Dui made tremendous gains, not only in the power of time, but also by combining Manwy's power with his own weather magic, upgrading his weather magic to the level of celestial magic.

He can easily summon wind, clouds, thunder, and lightning, creating massive weather disasters.

He also infused Viya with the power of the Ring of Air of Elrond, restoring the power of the ring, which had been completely deprived of its power since the One Ring was destroyed, and making it even stronger.

The Ilmen, high in the sky, is the upper layer of the atmosphere surrounding Alda, located above the inner layer of air Vesta and within the outer layer of Via. It is also known as Star Street or the Kingdom of Stars.

Dui followed Varda, the Queen of the Stars, across the Golden Bridge to this place to learn the laws of the stars.
