Chapter 404 Sauron's Awareness

Chapter 404 Sauron's Awareness

The three formed a protective stance, shielding Frodo and Sam, who had transformed into orcs, in the middle.

Gollum, on the other hand, had a rope around his neck and was obediently led by Sam.

The Tower of Chillish-Ugo is the final barrier to entering Mordor, from where a road leads north to the Tower of Baradur.

Without the Polyjuice Potion, Frodo and the others would not have dared to take this main road, but instead followed Gollum's directions and detoured north along the eastern side of the Pyrrhic Mountains.

But now that they had transformed into half-orcs, they felt no pressure and walked confidently and swaggering down the road.

The Tower of Chilis was garrisoned by thousands of Orcs and Beastmen, and when Frodo and his party arrived, they did not attract much attention.

The only thing that caught their attention was Gulu, who was being led around on a rope.

A powerful orc stepped forward and blocked their way: "Who are you? And what is that little thing?" (in slang)

Frodo and the others tensed up, with Legolas and Gimli especially ready for battle.

Gulu was terrified, his eyes wide with fear, and his body trembled as he whimpered.

Aragorn, his face a mixture of respect and fear, replied in a low growl-like voice, "We're a patrol team, and this little thing is a suspect we caught by chance. We're going to take him to Baradulta for interrogation." (in Black slang)

The Orcs are a race created by Saruman that is stronger than the Orcs, and they now hold a higher status in Mordor than ordinary Orcs.

The orcs guarding the Tower of Chilis'ugoo, upon hearing Aragorn's words, were about to say something when a gust of wind blew, carrying the stench emanating from Aragorn and his companions. Their expressions immediately changed, and they quickly covered their mouths and retreated, filled with disgust.

"Damn lowly Orks, have you eaten shit? Get out of here! Ugh—" The Orcs immediately chased them away. Even though they were not known for their hygiene, they couldn't stand the stench and wanted to get as far away from them as possible.

The other Orcs and Orks stationed there were also disgusted by the stench emanating from Aragorn and his companions, and had no desire to approach these people who looked like they had just crawled out of a cesspool.

And so the group successfully passed through the Tower of Chilis and then embarked on their journey to Mount Doom.

On the battlefield of Eriador, the battle between Duy, Gandalf, Galadriel, Elrond, Glorfindel, and Sauron has lasted for three days and three nights.

The land was ravaged by the aftermath of the battle between the two sides.

Gandalf raised his staff and summoned lightning from the sky, which struck Sauron directly.

But Sauron blocked it directly with his mace and shattered the bucket-thick lightning bolt with a single blow.

Elrond was in a sorry state; his elven longsword had long been smashed in two by Sauron, and he was now wielding the flaming sword borrowed by Dui.

Glorfindel's light dimmed, but his fighting spirit remained undiminished. He, too, wielded Dui's spear, Egolos, and engaged Sauron in battle.

Galadriel held a golden bow, a divine bow given to her by the blue-robed wizard, possessing the ability to hit its target and immense power.

Now, in Galadriel's hands, it has unleashed its most powerful force.

She easily drew back her longbow, and with a chant of elven incantations, the silver arrows she fired carried the power of light, shooting straight towards Sauron like streaks of meteors.

These silver arrows were locked onto Sauron, and no matter how he dodged, they would never stop until they hit him.

Meanwhile, Dui activated the Earth Ring Kaya in his hand, transforming it into a golden shield connecting the earth. While protecting the safety of his group, he also manipulated the surrounding earth, turning boulders and soil into spiked earth dragons that roared and fiercely attacked Sauron, creating violent earthquakes.

With the Ring of Earth, Dui is like the master of the earth, manipulating it and leaving no place for his enemies to stand.

Sauron's monster mount was shot down by Galadriel's arrow and then swallowed whole by Dui, who split the earth open.

Sauron stood in the void, not feeling much pressure from the combined attack of the group.

Now that his strength has returned to its peak and he has regained his physical form, he is very confident in his abilities.

But he was still unable to break through Dui's turtle shell, which angered him.

The current situation is that Dui and his group are powerless against Sauron, while Sauron is powerless against Dui and his group, who are protected by the Earth Ring.

What troubled and frustrated Sauron was that the Earth Ring itself was not invincible, but because Dui had connected the golden shield created by the Earth Ring with the earth, making it one with it.

Therefore, Sauron's attack on the golden shield meant that he was attacking the earth itself.

The land is vast and imposing, bearing the world of Arda. Even if the Valar wanted to destroy it, it would not be an easy task.

Not to mention that Soren was just a Maya under the Valar.

Seeing that he could not break through Dui's golden light barrier, Soren began to consider leaving.

His main purpose in coming here was to reclaim the One Ring. Since he could not break through Duir and his companions' defenses, he decided to abandon his plan to defeat Duir and his group, and instead take back the Ring first, and then defeat Duir and his group, and obtain the Three Rings of the Elves and the Ring of Earth.

After all, Sauron's power has now returned to its peak, and he has regained a physical form. But this power originates from Morgoth, and is not his own true power.

More importantly, the One Ring was tied to his life, and Sauron felt a growing unease. He sensed that the Ring was no longer safe, and that if anything happened to it, it would be the end for him.

So Sauron turned directly towards Hogwarts, transforming into a dark shadow and flying westward.

Dui and the others' expressions changed drastically: "Oh no! He wants to go to Hogwarts!"

Without saying a word, Dui transformed into a phoenix and teleported in flames.

The phoenix's teleportation speed far surpasses Apparition or Portkey, and it arrived at the top of Amonsur Tower, the highest point of Hogwarts Castle, almost instantly.

Seeing Sauron approaching from afar, Dui activated the power of the Earth Ring, and a huge golden dome appeared, enveloping the entire Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade below the mountain.

Sauron, transformed into a dark shadow that blotted out the sky, crashed into the golden dome with a thunderous roar, creating ripples.

The impact caused a massive tremor that shook the entire mountain, resulting in countless rocks tumbling down.

The black lake rippled, stirring up towering waves.

The residents of Hogsmeade were terrified by the violent earthquake and Sauron's terrifying aura.

Gandalf, Galadriel, Elrond, and others also quickly returned using the Portkeys to provide assistance.

But Sauron's attack suddenly stopped. "No! There's no One Ring here!"

Sauron looked on in surprise and anger, his eyes flashing with an evil red light as he stared intently at Duy, Gandalf, and the others.

"Where is the One Ring? Where have you hidden it? Why can't I sense its presence!"

Dui and the others remained silent, focusing all their efforts on dealing with Sauron.

The Thunderbird Sauron flew high into the clouds, manipulating the storm and weather. Thunderclouds rolled and lightning flashed, unleashing thousands of bolts of lightning that struck Sauron.

The Kraken octopus in the Black Lake manipulated the water with all its might, stirring up towering waves that, like countless giant octopus tentacles, shot straight into the sky and swept towards Sauron.

Even the dragon Smaug sought revenge against Sauron, unleashing his hottest dragonfire upon him.

Faced with so many attacks, Sauron suddenly unleashed his most terrifying power, instantly annihilating all the attacks.

Except for Windfall Peak and Hogsmeade, which were protected by the golden dome and were unaffected, the surrounding area within dozens of miles was instantly turned into scorched earth. The Windfall Hills to the north were flattened, and the Chet Forest to the west was turned into a scorched forest.

Sauron's evil gaze seemed to see through all the fog as he stared at Duy and the others. "The Ring isn't in the West at all, is it? You don't intend to send the Ring to Valinor. This is just a pretext to lure me here. Am I right?"

"So—the One Ring is now in the East, and has even been secretly taken to Mordor, with the intention of taking it to Mount Doom to destroy it."
