Chapter 388 The Arrival of the Fellowship

Chapter 388 The Arrival of the Fellowship

Just as the guardian spirit dissipated, Faramir instantly Apparated onto the back of the Fallen Beast. He swung his wand to cast a repulsion spell on the Ringwraiths, while simultaneously wielding his longsword in his other hand and severing the Fallen Beast's slender neck.

The corrupted flying beast, its head separated from its body, crashed to the ground along with the Ringwraiths and Faramir.

Faramir gave the enraged Ringwraith a mocking smile, and just as he was about to hit the ground, he Apparated and disappeared again.

The Ringwraith, having lost his mount, fell from the sky. Although he was unharmed, his eyes burned with a red light of rage as he glared at Faramir and the other wizards with venomous hatred.

He wielded his enormous magic hammer and attacked the Dunedan wizards.

The wizards' armor spells were shattered by the Ringwraith's hammer, and the wizards were sent flying, their fate unknown.

Without their mounts, the Ringwraiths, though losing the advantage of flying in the sky, are still invincible.

More and more members of the wizarding commando team are dying at the hands of the Ringwraiths.

Their spells, however, had little effect on the Ringwraiths and posed no threat whatsoever.

Meanwhile, the army of Mordor and the Harads, aided by the Ringwraiths, recovered and launched another attack on the Gondorian army.

Seeing that he was no match for them, especially when Faramir was struck by the Ringwraith's hammer and seriously injured.

King Denesser II, who was at the highest point of the royal city, finally couldn't sit still any longer.

Although he disliked his second son, Faramiel, he was still his son, so he ordered the messenger to sound the horn to retreat back into the city.

As the horns sounded, the Gondorian army fought its way back into the city.

Meanwhile, the wizarding raiding party, entangled with the Ringwraiths, Apparated back to the royal court with the heavily wounded Faramir.

Seeing his second son Faramir covered in blood, his chest caved in, and barely breathing, even the usually indifferent Regent Denesser II trembled, wanting to touch his son's face but not daring to.

"Father, will you be proud of me?" Faramiel asked weakly as he coughed up blood.

King Denesser II was deeply moved; his lips trembled as if he wanted to say something, but no words came out, and his eyes were filled with sorrow.

A mix of emotions, including guilt and regret, flickered in his mind, and his once straight back became hunched.

Faramiel didn't get a reply from his father; he fell into a coma after speaking.

Upon seeing this, Denesee II was shocked, mistakenly believing his son was dead.

"Faramir! My son—is dead!?"

"No, Your Highness Regent, Faramir is just seriously injured and unconscious. He will recover as long as he takes a potion!" A voice came from behind.

Upon hearing this, Denesser II immediately turned around, but upon seeing who it was, he immediately became wary and guarded, reverting to his cold, aloof, and stubborn self.

"Sauron Zel! What are you doing here? Are you trying to seize my rule? Ha, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed! Gondor is on the verge of destruction, and your schemes will never succeed!"

Looking at the Gondorian vizier before him, who was filled with distrust and wariness, Aragorn said nothing. Instead, he focused his attention on Faramir, took a vial of potion from his pocket, opened it, and bent down to feed it to him.

"What are you going to do to my son?!" Denethor II angrily shielded Faramir, staring at Aragorn with wariness and extreme distrust.

Aragorn wasn't angry. He explained, "This is a healing potion given to me by Lord Duir. It can cure Faramir's injuries. Faramir's injuries are serious and require immediate treatment. I implore Your Excellency to allow me to treat him."

But Denethor II's suspicion and distrust of Aragorn were already deeply ingrained. In his eyes, Aragorn was an ambitious man plotting to seize the throne of Gondor from him, and he was also suspicious of the potion Aragorn had given him.

This scene caused Legolas, who had come with Aragorn, and Gimli, to frown.

Gimli the dwarf grumbled even more irritably, "Ungrateful! Aragorn, since they already suspect you, don't bother with your good intentions. Just let that brat die! Their father doesn't want to save his son anyway, so why are you making such a fuss!"

Legolas was reserved and introverted, and could not speak like Gimli, but seeing the dying Faramir, he could not bear to watch him die like that.

He warned, "This person's life force is constantly slipping away; they will die if left untreated. We can't delay any longer!"

Upon hearing this, Aragorn abandoned his argument with Denethor II and fed the potion in his hand to Faramir.

Denecer II was about to stop him, but suddenly his body became paralyzed, and he could only watch helplessly as Aragorn fed his son the drug.

The potion worked quickly; Faramir's wounds healed at a visible speed, the dent in his chest from the Ringwraith's hammer swelled up again, and his weak breathing became stronger.

Finally, Faramir opened his eyes. He had thought he was going to die, but feeling his body healed, he showed a look of relief at surviving a disaster.

He was struck by the Ringwraith's hammer, which was imbued with dark power, and the resulting injury could not be healed by ordinary potions or healing spells.

So he had resigned himself to his fate and was waiting for death to come.

But I never expected to have a chance to come back to life.

He looked at Aragorn with gratitude: "Thank you! You saved my life!" He was still somewhat conscious when he was unconscious and knew that the person in front of him had saved him with a potion.

Aragorn shook his head gently: "No need to thank me. This potion belongs to Lord Duir. If you want to thank someone, thank him."

Before they set off, Duir equipped them with high-level life-saving potions so they could use them to save their lives if they encountered harm.

Faramir's gratitude towards Aragorn remained undiminished upon hearing his words; he knew that if Aragorn hadn't insisted on saving him, he would probably be dead by now.

Meanwhile, King Denessa II, looking at his son who had fully recovered, was filled with ecstatic joy and disbelief. He didn't even care when his body had regained its mobility and quickly grabbed his shoulders with both hands.

"Faramir, you're all better? You're really all better?"

Looking at his excited father, Faramiel felt a mix of emotions.

As sons, his older brother Boromir was always the object of their father's love and pride, while he was always the one who was ignored and neglected. Since he could remember, he had never seen his father smile at him or show any satisfaction.

He had always tried very hard to get his father's attention, even just a word of praise, but he never succeeded.

This time, he was critically injured and on the verge of death because his father kept stopping him. If Aragorn hadn't insisted on feeding him the potion, he probably would have really died.

Although he didn't understand why his father was so hostile towards Aragorn, preferring to watch him die rather than feed him the potions Aragorn offered.

But this action only made him feel more miserable.

He thought that if his brother were in the same situation, their father would probably beg Aragorn for the potion.

However, he immediately suppressed all these emotions and thoughts, and instead asked, "How is the situation now? Have the Mordor army entered the city?"

Aragorn shook his head. "The army of Mordor is regrouping and preparing for an even larger attack, so they haven't launched a siege yet. However, the next attack will certainly be much fiercer, and we must prepare for a full-scale battle!"
