Like a child who likes to show off to someone he likes, Tom handed the cane to Goldenberry and proudly boasted, "Goldberry, look at my new gift, a beautiful cane that can even bloom flowers!"

Bilbo seemed to be observing whether Tom could really see him, causing Tom's eyes to follow him.
Finally, she took off the ring again, revealing her figure.
