Chapter 146 They're all monsters
At night, Robin arrived at Yelena's door carrying a thick book. Without knocking, he used his ability to unlock the door from the inside and walked in.
"This guy named Luffy, can he help us defeat Crocodile?"
Yelena was about to go to sleep, but seeing this, she could only sit up and help her companion answer her questions.
"It's just an extra layer of insurance. Luffy may seem a bit silly, but he actually possesses an extremely terrifying power hidden within him. It's not apparent during normal battles, but it can save your life in critical moments."
Old Sha's strength is unknown, and without Nika's aura to help her, she really isn't confident she can defeat him.
However, Lao Sha is secondary; the more important ones are those few, especially that one person, who can't do without this kid's aura.
"I couldn't tell his strength, but he does have a magical ability. We've only known each other for half a day, but he gets along with everyone on the ship as if we've known each other for many years."
At this point, Robin rubbed his temples, looking helpless. "He, Mr. 9, and Icarus had a pillow fight in the room next to mine, and they cracked the deck. It's so noisy it's giving me a headache. I'll sleep here tonight."
"You're welcome anytime." Yelena moved aside.
"Make sure that kid gets his own boat; he absolutely can't stay here for long."
They've only been on board for a few hours and they're already causing trouble. Their boat isn't sturdy enough. Let's go to the Khohomei instead.
"We see the island. This map is too rudimentary; it's not even marked. Let's sail around it; I want to do some close-up surveying."
Nami put down the map and looked over.
Yelena naturally had no reason to refuse.
As soon as the ship approached the dock, Luffy cheered and jumped ashore, followed by Zoro and Mr. 9, who said they were going to buy some alcohol.
"Ignore them."
Yelena waved her hand, and the boat continued sailing along the coastline.
Nami held a pen and paper in her hand, occasionally looking up at the island or closing her eyes to feel the wind direction around her.
The boat moved slowly, stopping and starting. When the journey was three-quarters complete, a familiar figure appeared on the shore.
"Zoro, what are you doing here?"
"Of course we're waiting for you guys. Those guys are lost and we can't find them no matter how hard we look. It's a real headache."
Yelena didn't even bother to roll her eyes; whatever you say goes.
Two hours later, the ship returned to the dock where it had stopped earlier, where Luffy and Mr. 9 were already waiting.
However, the two of them were not as clean as when they left; they were covered in dust.
Yelena looked around. Several houses nearby had collapsed, cracks had appeared in the street, and wooden crates piled up next to the dock were scattered all over the ground.
"What's wrong?"
Mr. 9 was the first to jump onto the ship. He glanced at Zoro and sighed, "This guy got lost. We went back to the dock to see if he could find his way back, but we ran into the Buggy Pirates who had just landed."
"Hey, you seem to be saying something I don't understand." Zoro's eyebrows were almost furrowed to the top of his head.
Luffy laughed and raised his hands, "I sent that red-nosed guy flying!"
Mr. 9 shook his head and pointed, "They squandered the 15 million that was about to be in their hands."
"What?!" Nami put the stack of papers in her hand into Yelena's arms, took a few steps forward and lifted Luffy up.
Where is the treasure on the ship? Where is the pirate ship?
"I don't know, I was gone when I came to my senses, hehe." Luffy was still laughing, unaware of the danger that was about to befall him.
Thud! Smack! Thud!
The picture is appalling.
Three days later, Gecko Islands, Xiluobu Village.
Luffy placed his hands behind his head, elbows wide open, and slowly walked to the beach.
"I met a really interesting guy on the island—wait, what are you guys doing?"
Mr.9 and Miss. each stood in a different spot on Monday, their feet stomping on the ground in a certain rhythm. After completing a series of movements, they lunged forward a few steps.
Zoro, standing to the side, stomped faster than them and covered a greater distance.
"Want to practice burst-speed movement techniques together?"
Yelena's figure disappeared from the spot, and the next moment, she appeared behind Luffy, dangling a straw hat in her hand.
"Wow, so fast! Oh, my hat!" Luffy hung his straw hat around his neck, nodding excitedly. "Let's train!"
"Find a spot yourself."
She mastered "Shave," one of the Six Styles, after observing the unfamiliar lieutenant general use it up close on Hannabar Island.
It's not some advanced technique. With her current physique, learning this move would be about as difficult as a high school student solving an elementary school problem.
After the basic principles were explained clearly, Luffy began to practice.
Mr. 9 smiled and leaned closer, "How about we have a competition to see who can master it faster?"
Miss Monday rolled her eyes at him. "You've been practicing for a month, and you're still not as fast as Zoro, who just started practicing this morning. Stop comparing yourself to others and just focus on your training."
Mr. 9 scratched his head awkwardly, "Maybe Luffy is even slower than me—"
Whoosh!
Luffy's figure disappeared, and the next instant, he stumbled back to appear more than ten meters away.
Mr.9: "————"
He struggled to close his jaw.
Miss Monday sighed, "Just like Vivi, yet another genius."
After saying that, she stopped paying attention to others and focused her mind on her cultivation.
After successfully executing "Shave," Luffy practiced on the spot for a few more minutes, becoming more proficient each time.
Not only Mr. 9, but even Zoro was dumbfounded: "What kind of physique does this kid have?"
Ten minutes later, Zoro teleported more than ten meters away in the blink of an eye, successfully mastering the move.
Mr. 9 looked up to the sky and sighed, "I'm surrounded by monsters!"
Nami crouched in the grass, watching the pirates charging towards them in the distance, and instructed the person beside her, "Luffy, you better be serious later and earn back the 1,500 Berries you lost last time! Otherwise—"
Nami clenched her fist and waved it in front of Luffy, who flashed a look of fear in his eyes and nodded frantically.
"And you, Alvida, those five million—"
"Don't worry." Miss Monday carried the iron bar, her dark face filled with determination.
"Excellent!" Nami clutched her heart, her expression excited. "Kroo the Hundred-Plan, the Hypnotist Zango, and the Cat-Man Brothers—total bounty 3900 million Berries! Being a bounty hunter is definitely more lucrative than being a thief!"
The enemy arrived quickly, and the battle began!
Bang!
Before Zango could even pull out his hypnotic equipment, a huge iron bar came crashing down on him!
Climbing a hill can break your legs, but returning to the bottom only takes two seconds; the price is your life.
-
The pirates were terrified and dared not take another step forward.
Miss Monday charged into the crowd, each swing sending a shadow flying through the air.
Just as the cat-man brothers extended their paws, a pale green barrier slammed against them, and the two tentatively retaliated.
Bang!
The claws severed the person, sending them flying.
No sooner had she landed than Miss Monday arrived, wielding an iron bar without mercy.
"spoon!"
"shave!"
Luffy kicked off all ten of Kuro's finger blades and then slammed his fist into Kuro's face.
The battle has ended.
"Well done!" Nami stood up from the bushes. "Pick up their weapons too; the money from selling them can buy a lot of meat."
Upon hearing the word "food," Luffy, carrying the unconscious Kuro, ran around frantically, gathering everything he could find.
The next morning, everyone gathered at the beach.
Usopp looked puzzled. "Why isn't the pirate flag flown on the Going Merry?"
Luffy scratched his head and sighed, "Sigh, it'll be a while before I can become a pirate. Right now, I'm a bounty hunter."
"What?!" Usopp jumped up on the spot. "Is it too late for me to get off the ship now?"
Yelena didn't care whether he became a pirate or not; the key was that with the Going Merry, Luffy could no longer destroy her ship.
She's really had enough these past few days.
How can people be so noisy?
