One Piece: I'm a Hunter on the Grand Line

Chapter 106 Where did they go? They abandoned me and ran away.

Chapter 106 Where did they go? They abandoned me and ran away.

When the two returned to the dock, the pedestrians who had been scared away by the pirates had regrouped in the square, standing at a distance and pointing at the pirate ship on the berth.

Following their gaze, one could see several bandits tied to the mast of the pirate ship; a rough count revealed no fewer than thirty.

"You're quite gentle," Yelena said, looking at the person next to her.

The pirates who were tied up all had distorted expressions, as if they had suffered some pain, but they were still alive and kicking.

"Gentle? Breaking the enemy's bones counts too... well, it depends on who you're comparing them to."

Robin glanced at the corpse Yelena was dragging in her arms and shook his head slightly. "I rarely kill people."

"This is a good habit. If we ever become enemies, I can still save my life."

"To be your enemy? I'd rather surrender." Robin smiled and raised her hands.

The two walked toward the parking space, and passersby consciously stepped back and kept their distance from them.

Passersby looked at the two, especially Yelena, whose eyes were filled with awe.

"She actually defeated Gustav Eugene!"

"I never imagined that a pirate supernova would be killed by a bounty hunter!"

"Hey, didn't you guys know? According to the pirates outside the tavern, she's that black-robed hunter, and it seems this is the second time she's defeated a pirate with a bounty over 100 million!"

The ship carrying Baroque's men was currently moored next to the pirate ship, and the agents split into two teams, each guarding one of the ships.

Yelena returned to the ship and saw Lorne's body in a corner of the deck. It must have been moved there by Robin's men after she left the tavern.

After all, it's worth over 80 million peles.

"Well done. Keep an eye on this too. I have some things to take care of over there. We'll head to the nearby naval branch in a bit."

Yelena tossed Eugene's body over as well, and the captain and first mate lay down in a row, not daring to voice any objections.

She jumped off the boat and headed towards the tavern.

A hint of curiosity appeared on Robin's face, and he silently followed.

Yelena arrived at the restaurant where she had smashed down the walls and tables. Under the trembling gaze of the restaurant owner, she took out a small stack of peso and placed it on the counter.

"Compensation, but don't make a fuss. Those shops whose shops were damaged by pirates didn't receive this treatment."

Robin walked to the store entrance and happened to see this scene, his curiosity growing even stronger.

After finishing this small matter, Yelena suddenly felt a wave of hunger. The little food she had eaten that morning had long been used up in the previous battle.

"Give me thirty servings of your restaurant's signature meat dishes, to go. You can calculate the price."

The shop owner glanced at Bailey on the counter, then hurriedly shook his head, "No need, the money you gave me already has enough to spare. I'll have the chef prepare it right away!"

He grabbed the money and rushed into the kitchen as if a ferocious beast was chasing him.

Robin walked to the chair opposite Yelena and sat down, resting his chin on his hand and staring intently at her.

Yelena relaxed, leaning back in her chair. "You want to know why I offered compensation voluntarily?"

Robin smiled and nodded.

"It's actually very simple. His house didn't have to be broken. I wanted to test Eugene's strength and fight him head-on, but I couldn't withstand it and was knocked away by a single blow, which led to the scene we see now."

Yelena pointed to the hole in the wall not far away, and the empty space inside the store, where there should have been some tables, chairs and tableware.

A strange look crossed Robin's face, and he said hesitantly, "It might be a bit rude of me to say that, but you don't seem like the kind of person who's overly kind."

Yelena rolled her eyes at Robin, implying that it was inappropriate for someone like her, a ruthless killer, to do something like this.

Do you understand the concept of contrast?

It possesses both ruthless methods and a tender, delicate heart.

"Her heart is like a fat tiger, yet she gently smells a rose"—that perfectly describes her.

"You seem to be the kind of person who's overly curious."

"Thank you for the compliment." Robin's smile remained unchanged.

Yelena lowered her head and thought for a moment, then decided there was nothing she couldn't say and revealed her true thoughts.

"I guess it's because I can understand how the restaurant owner feels."

A hint of nostalgia flashed in Yelena's eyes. "Back when I hadn't gone to sea yet, one day I was cleaning the living room when suddenly a shell fell and blew up my house!"

"Thinking back on that moment still makes my teeth itch; I felt like I wanted to kill someone!"

"Hehe~" Robin chuckled, covering her mouth, her expression somewhat surprised. "I didn't expect you to have such an experience. What happened next? Did you seek compensation from the person who fired the cannon?"

"No, pirates aren't reasonable people."

Robin looked enlightened: "I see. No wonder you're so concerned about this matter."

After saying that, she looked at Yelena and said with a hint of sarcasm, "It's rare that a pirate can actually gain an advantage over you."

"Sigh, it's my fault for being soft-hearted. I only killed nine of them and let the matter of compensation go."

"Uh..." Robin's expression froze for a moment.

"Guest, do you still have...?"

The restaurant owner, who had just finished counting money in the kitchen, came to the table with a happy expression. He was about to ask the two if they had any other requests when he heard Yelena's words, and his smile froze on his face.

"It's done so quickly?"

"No! I'll personally supervise the chef!"

The restaurant owner returned to the kitchen several times faster than he had arrived.

Robin looked away and shook her head helplessly at Yelena. "I'm a little confused. Between you who lost your house and the pirates who lost their lives, who's more unlucky?"

"Of course it's me!" Yelena said indignantly, her tone matter-of-fact.

"Okay, whatever you say goes."

Half an hour later, the two left the restaurant with takeout boxes and returned to the dock square, only to find that there were even more people gathered there.

Following their gaze towards the sea, Yelena paused slightly.

A warship appeared on the sea a few hundred meters away.

She squinted, carefully observing the markings on the sail.

G-2.

Robin's voice came from the side, "The Navy's G-2 branch is not far from the Kingdom of Lulusia. After receiving news of the pirate invasion, they will be able to arrive soon."

The two stood to the side of the crowd watching.

A few minutes later, the warship approached the dock and stopped next to the pirate ship. A squad of fully armed marines appeared on the deck.

The leader was a naval swordsman with two samurai swords at his waist, long light blond hair, and a severely bald head.

"Let's get back to the ship, those agents are probably too much for us...wait, where are they?"

Yelena turned to look at Robin, only to find that the older sister was no longer there, along with ten meals.

Yelena's eyes widened in surprise. This woman was quite adept at escaping; she had done it so quietly that even Yelena hadn't noticed.

But is it a bit much to just leave her there alone, oh, and with twenty meals to go?

He's just a vice admiral, is it really that big of a deal?
