Chapter 54 It's over, this guy's at it again!
After sailing at sea for several days, the merchant ship arrived at an island that resembled a seagull.
After the helmsman brought the ship to a safe stop at the berth, the sailors began unloading cargo, and the passengers disembarked in an orderly manner.
Most merchant ships in the nearby waters operate on this model, primarily for cargo transport, and incidentally provide cabins and sell tickets to passengers.
Yelena followed the crowd to the dock square.
Looking at the familiar surroundings, a look of nostalgia appeared on her face. After a year and a half, she had returned to Swallo Island.

Outside the branch's gate, two navy men were on guard, carrying rifles and staring straight ahead.
As the two were calculating when they would change shifts, a figure suddenly appeared in their line of sight.

As the person drew closer, they gradually got a clearer look at his face.

The two naval personnel shuddered, their fatigue from standing for so long vanishing instantly!

"Oh, it's you two. You must be tired from your duty. I'm looking for Colonel Lind and Sister Eve. Are they at the branch?"
Yelena arrived outside the gate and found the navy guards to be somewhat familiar, though she couldn't recall their names, she remembered training with them.
Yelena's gaze swept over the two of them, and she nodded in satisfaction.
They looked much stronger than they had a year ago, so it seemed the navy hadn't been slacking off while she was away.
The two forced smiles. "We're all at the branch. Please rest here for a while. I'll go report right away."
Although the face was familiar, this person was not from the Navy, and they hadn't seen him for over a year. Who knew what changes might have occurred? They dared not let him into the branch directly.
Colonel Linde was smoking in his office when he heard his subordinates report that Yelena had returned. His eyes lit up, and he immediately put on his coat and hurried downstairs.
"It's been so long! You've grown so much taller! How have you been out there? You haven't encountered any danger, have you?"
Inside the gatehouse, Yelena was chatting with Eve, who had arrived first. Hearing the familiar voice, she smiled and nodded.
"After all, I'm a year older. As for danger... I'm not going to deliberately venture into pirate territory, so how could I possibly encounter any danger?"
As she spoke, she glanced at Colonel Linde, who looked much the same as before, and said sarcastically:
"It's been over a year since I last saw you. The soldiers in the branch have all made great progress. And you, your swordsmanship must have improved quite a bit too, right?"
Colonel Linde glared at Yelena with annoyance.
At his age, it's already quite impressive that his strength hasn't declined; how could he possibly improve it further?
"What, you want to have a go at this old man?"
"Just kidding, I wouldn't dare fight you."
Yelena quickly waved her hand.
The first naval captain she met had mediocre swordsmanship, yet he could fight pirates with bounties of over ten million to the death.
His overall strength may not surpass that of Axe King Monka.
Once a fight breaks out, she worries that she might accidentally kill the other person without realizing it.
By then, where will she find Eve another biological father?
"Alright, Yelena's finally back, let's stop talking about fighting and killing. Let's go out for dinner tonight, it's on me!"
Eve stood up, took Yelena's hand, and pulled Colonel Lind's arm, leading the two out of the naval branch.
"I'll treat you. You can choose any restaurant in town."
"Wow, our little Yelena's struck it rich?"
"No, I just picked up some Berries before heading back to Swallo Island."
Watching the figures of the group disappear, the naval officer on duty finally breathed a sigh of relief.

That guy's back now, he'll probably leave soon, right?

At the dinner table, as soon as all the dishes were served, Eve couldn't wait to share with Yelena what had happened on Swallo Island during her absence.

Yelena nodded and was about to follow Eve upstairs when Colonel Lind suddenly called out to stop them.
"You take your luggage upstairs first. Yelena, come with me. I have something to tell you."
"Alright then, Dad, don't take too long. She just got back and needs to rest... She's so heavy!"
Eve had originally intended to bring the violin case along, but after taking the suitcase, she immediately abandoned her previous idea.

Watching Eve's retreating figure, Yelena chuckled and shook her head. How could it not be heavy? Apart from a few sets of clothes, the remaining space was filled with gold and peso.
Inside the office, Colonel Linde leaned back on the sofa, lit a cigar, and stared intently at the person sitting opposite him.
After a long silence, he sighed:
"Who would have thought that the renowned Black-Robed Hunter is actually just a girl not even sixteen years old yet!"
"If those pirates who died at your hands knew the truth, would they be shocked that they were defeated by a girl, or would they be glad that their lives ended at the hands of a combat genius?"
"You knew?"
Yelena shook her head with a smile. She wasn't a genius, but the pirates who discovered her true identity were quite shocked.
As one of the first naval officers to know her, had a deep understanding of her background, and had fought alongside her, it was not surprising that Colonel Lind discovered her disguise.
"Has any pirate ever seen your true face beneath your black robe?"
"There is one person still alive."
Yelena thought of the polar bear who was being treated to the cold in Impel Down, "But don't worry, that guy only saw what I looked like, he didn't take a picture."
"That's good." Flicking his cigarette ash, Colonel Linde continued, "Some people in the Navy are inquiring about the Black Robe Hunter. They've already located Svalo Island, and they want to get your real information."
