Chapter 268 Wan Tiewang should be in infrastructure construction
"Mysterious meteorite, a new alloy research experiment by the US military. So the universe has discovered adamantium alloy so quickly?" Du Mu sat in his office chair, flipping through the documents in his hand, his eyebrows slightly raised.
As the Hellfire Club grew and expanded, and with Emma's telepathic abilities aiding them, their intelligence network had already infiltrated every corner, easily obtaining even classified files from the U.S. military.
The document, marked as highly classified, concerns a unique metal sample discovered by the military in a meteorite crater. Preliminary tests indicate that this metal has a hardness and density far exceeding that of any existing material.
Without a doubt, this is Adamantium in this universe.
Du Mu remembered that in another X-Men parallel universe, adamantium wouldn't be discovered until some time later.
But as I said before, it doesn't make sense; it's a parallel universe.
Are you interested in this?
Emma walked over at some point, wrapped in a bed sheet, her extremely high modeling attributes faintly visible beneath the fabric.
Du Mu frowned: "Why aren't you wearing any clothes?"
He was currently in "sage mode," his temper completely gone, his rationality at +99, his eyes clear and unwavering, as pure as a eunuch protagonist in a fantasy novel. "It's all because you tore them up. Those were limited edition designer pieces; I only wore them once or twice."
Emma rolled her eyes.
Yesterday was too crazy; most of her equipment was torn to shreds, not even her underwear survived.
Du Mu remained unfazed: "That was an accident."
Emma was speechless: "That was so careless, now only my black tear is left."
"That thing has too high a defense; we can't tear it open."
Emma was too lazy to expose this scumbag's fetish, after all, she had dressed like that on purpose because of it.
Recalling yesterday's battle, her legs involuntarily clenched together, trembling uncontrollably.
Although Du Mu initially took the initiative, Emma later took the initiative to fight back, using all her skills to try and break Du Mu's hard qigong.
Who would have thought that Du Mu's internal energy cultivation had reached a state of perfection, and he even possessed the supernatural power to summon wind and rain.
The localized areas, which had been suffering from drought for more than a year, first received light rain, then the light rain turned into moderate rain, and the moderate rain turned into torrential rain, even causing floods and creating towering waves.
Even though Emma was an excellent swimmer, she couldn't withstand the terrifying waves and lost consciousness several times.
In a daze, she remembered being carried by the giant wave from the bedroom to the living room, from the living room to the bathroom, from the bathroom to the balcony, and finally swimming around several times before returning to her room.
"It's been over a year, how come this scumbag has become even more aggressive?"
Emma was both surprised and distressed.
Looking back on her first encounter with Du Mu, she initially boarded his "thief's bed" (a euphemism for a shady business) out of curiosity and novelty. Little did she know that once she got on, she would never be able to get off.
However, Du Mu was considerate and never restricted Emma's actions, saying that she could do whatever she wanted without considering his feelings.
This caused Emma a lot of inner conflict.
I tried, but then I felt like I wasn't living up to expectations.
She was the dignified White Empress, with countless suitors. How could she possibly go to a mere bed warmer and willingly bathe and enter his quilt? But refusing was simply not an option.
Now that the development project under Du Mu's personal supervision has been fully launched, even if she does it herself as before, she cannot restore it to its original state. Only by handing it over to Du Mu can the matter be fully implemented.
Neither going up nor going down works.
So Emma could only struggle repeatedly between going up and down.
Du Mu, unaware of Emma's inner turmoil, said, "This is a treasure; it can be said to be the rarest and most powerful material in the world, and it's destined to be mine."
He does have a lot of Adamantium in stock, but who would complain about having too much of this rare material?
Come to think of it, he's still missing a Wolverine skeleton to synthesize a two-star character.
Should we ask the old wolf of this universe to make a mold, complete the adamantium experiment, and then have Magneto remove the humanoid adamantium skeleton?
Emma sat on the armrest of the chair, brushing her blonde hair behind her ear: "This is a top-secret experiment by the U.S. military. It's highly classified, and I've had someone investigate. The person in charge of this project is a tough nut to crack and not easy to bribe. Getting our hands on it will probably be a bit of a hassle."
"It's alright, I have a way."
Du Mu waved his hand, looking relaxed.
In this universe, even Magneto, the X-Men's resident villain, is one of their own.
Looking around, there are almost no rivals.
Compared to that main server where hidden masters and world-destroying giants appear at any moment, this universe is incredibly easy, and many things can be handled with complete peace of mind.
Du Mu suddenly remembered something and reminded him, "By the way, remember to have someone fix that big hole. You don't need to patch it up; just turn it into an entrance so that it's convenient for you to go directly to the bedroom to rest when you're working."
Emma:
I'm too embarrassed to point it out to you.
You don't want to work, you clearly want to have sex with your mother!
Du Mu stayed at the villa for a few days to get to know Emma better.
The area within dozens of meters of the villa had been cleared in advance, so no one came to disturb them.
In just a few days, Du Mu's system space was updated with more than a dozen cutscenes, as well as more than a dozen new skins and scenes, all of which were saved into the learning files for viewing when learning magic.
In the end, it was Emma who raised the white flag, which brought an end to this endless battle.
Du Mu shook his head inwardly. Emma was good in every way, except that her physical condition wasn't very good.
If he hadn't used magic to give his opponent several buffs, plus some stamina-restoring items, they probably wouldn't have lasted more than a few rounds. Can't even beat an item race, what a noob!
Looking at Emma, who was as soft as mud, Du Mu muttered, "It seems it's time to put the mutant enhancement program on the agenda."
In fact, he had this idea a long time ago.
Most mutants have a fatal flaw: they are high in attack but low in defense.
His abilities are ridiculously strong, but his body is pitifully fragile.
Even someone as powerful as Charles could easily take him down with a single shot, and even Magneto, who is immune to any metal, could not escape an organized and planned assassination.
Du Mu didn't want to suddenly disappear one day and have all the mutants under his command wiped out by some force.
After all, this kind of thing has happened far too many times in other parallel universes.
That's why he wanted to enhance the physical abilities of his mutant subordinates. He didn't expect them to be able to withstand bullets with their bare hands, but at least he wanted them to have enough reaction time when faced with a sneak attack, so that they wouldn't be taken away before they could even use their abilities.
As for this task, it was naturally entrusted to the all-powerful Hank.
Among the pile of materials Du Mu gave him was a large amount of human enhancement technology. Given his abilities, it shouldn't be a problem for him to adapt these technologies into enhancement programs suitable for mutants.
During this time, Du Mu took some time to visit the Hellfire Club and met Red Devil and Rapids, two lackeys.
Although he was away for a while, the two of them didn't dare to have any ulterior motives and continued to do their best for the club.
After all, they themselves knew that, given their status as Class A prisoners, leaving the protection of the Hellfire Club was tantamount to courting death.
"Lord Black Emperor!"
Upon seeing Du Mu, the two men immediately bowed and paid their respects.
Du Mu nodded, casually pulling two bottles of red potion from his robes: "You've done a good job these past few days. Here, take these two bottles of life potion." "Thank you, Lord Black Emperor!"
Their eyes lit up instantly, and they quickly took it with both hands.
They had long heard of this miraculous potion, which was said to be able to revive anyone who had a breath left, even those with terminal illnesses who were about to pass away, by drinking it. It was a true life-saving miracle drug.
If it were out there, countless wealthy people would probably be willing to spend a fortune to buy a bottle.
Of course, as members of the Hellfire Club, they weren't short of money, so they kept such life-saving items for themselves. Du Mu's gaze passed over the two men and landed on two unfamiliar figures not far away.
Those were two new members recently recruited by the Hellfire Club.
One of them was an acquaintance of Du Mu, Caliban from the world of Twilight Wolf.
His ability is to detect and locate the positions of mutants within a certain range, making him a human mutant radar. With him around, there's no fear of humans infiltrating among mutants, nor of mutants infiltrating among humans.
Caliban was originally a mutant broker who ran an underground intelligence network in Cairo, making a living by selling information and location data about mutants. After joining the Hellfire Club, his black market operations were incorporated into the club, becoming its intelligence department, specializing in gathering various intelligence in the underworld.
Another new member is a female mutant named Becky Braddock, codenamed Psylocke.
She was originally a bodyguard and henchman hired by Caliban. Her abilities include telepathy and telekinesis, which allows her to conjure various energy weapons. She is quite skilled and has a good figure. Her purple swimsuit and ninja attire make her look like a female demon ninja.
The two new members noticed Du Mu's gaze and quickly lowered their heads respectfully.
"Lord Black Emperor!"
They knew more or less about Hellfire Club, and knew that the former Black King Sebastian was the mastermind behind the Cuban Missile Crisis, almost causing the third season to be disrupted; he was an absolute ruthless person.
Not to mention the current Black Emperor who defeated the former Black Emperor to take the throne; he is the most ruthless of all.
They dared not show any personality in front of him.
Du Mu waved his hand with a chuckle: "Don't be shy, I'm actually a very approachable person, just order whatever you like."
The two looked up at the legendary Black Emperor before them.
Wearing a bizarre mask and a white robe, with a dozen or so black tentacles slowly wriggling beneath the robe as if they were alive, it hardly resembled the word "friendly" at all.
Du Mu didn't care about their reactions and looked at Lingdie with interest: "Your name is Lingdie, right? Show us your abilities." Lingdie nodded quickly: "Okay."
She raised her right hand, and purple energy condensed in her palm, instantly extending outward to form a longsword gleaming with a faint purple light.
It's much cooler than Du Mu's magic sword that looks like a light bulb; at least it's stylish.
Du Mu looked on with envy and asked, "Can your ability only transform into cold weapons? Can it transform into firearms? Or perhaps something else entirely?"
Psylocke paused for a moment, then replied after a brief pause, "It can transform into a firearm, but it can't fire bullets. It can, however, transform into other shapes, but it can't be too big or too complicated."
Du Mu was somewhat disappointed upon hearing this.
He thought he had found a mutant version of the female Green Lantern.
The next moment, the dozen or so black tentacles he had been using to show off under his robe instantly multiplied into six, quickly wrapping around the purple lightsaber in Spirit Butterfly's hand and then squeezing it hard.
Before the Spirit Butterfly's horrified eyes, the longsword formed from condensed energy instantly dissipated, turning into specks of purple light that vanished into the air.
It didn't even last a second.
"It seems it can't be used as a shield either."
Du Mu retracted his tentacles and shook his head: "Fine, from now on you'll be my new secretary and bodyguard."
As the Hellfire Club expanded, Emma's workload increased significantly.
The agreement was that the secretary would handle everything, but that's not possible now; they could only do the latter half of the sentence. So, the secretary position is now vacant. Luckily, Psylocke also has telepathic abilities, though not as strong as Charles and Emma's, but enough to deal with ordinary people. It's definitely not just because of Psylocke's long legs.
Psylocke snapped out of her shock and asked in surprise, "Lord Black Emperor, do you also need bodyguards?"
Judging from her performance just now, she was almost instantly defeated by Du Mu.
Who is protecting whom in this situation?
Du Mu nodded: "Of course, if we encounter any enemies in the future, you, as their bodyguard, will go first. After they defeat you at all costs, they'll finally face me, their boss who needs protection. But when they actually fight, they'll find that I'm hundreds of times stronger than you. What do you think their expression will be?"
Psylocke:
So I'm just a tool to highlight you?
Under Du Mu's arrangement, a large number of construction teams soon moved into Xavier Manor and began a new round of expansion.
The once tranquil manor was instantly transformed into a bustling construction site.
In particular, Hank's research base, in Du Mu's imagination, was at least several times larger than the main villa.
Charles was shocked: "With your plan, even my big place probably won't be enough!"
Du Mu waved his hand: "It's alright, I've already bought up the surrounding area as well. If it's not enough, I'll buy more. Money's no object." Charles:
He suspected that Du Mu was deliberately showing off his wealth.
And it must be admitted that the other party succeeded in showing off.
Eric was laughing like a shark.
Charles, you've finally met your match! Serves you right for flaunting your wealth in front of me every day.
Because Eric was wearing a helmet that blocked telepathy, Charles couldn't read his specific thoughts, but judging from his gloating expression, he could guess what Eric was thinking.
He said irritably, "At this hour, you should be at school. Did you skip class again?"
Eric is the oldest student at Xavier's School of the Rising Sun, but he is more rebellious than any of them.
He skipped classes every few days, frequently violated school rules, and teachers would complain to the principal every now and then.
If it weren't for the other party's powerful connections, he, as the principal, would have had his memory wiped and been kicked out of the school long ago.
Eric grinned. "Of course not, Du Mu sent me."
Du Mu nodded: "Yes, I sent him. There's a very important task that I need his help with, and he's the only one who can do it."
Eric felt a surge of secret pleasure upon hearing this: "Tell me, what kind of help do you need? I promise I'll get it done!"
Du Mu chuckled and said, "It's simple. Use your best skills to speed up the construction. You are the renowned Iron King, so this is the perfect job for you."
Eric: .
