No sooner had he finished speaking than Nitta pulled out a giant sword and slashed at Mo Li.
Mo Li stood still, watching Nitta rush towards him, his magic gathering in his right foot.
Just as Nitta was about to split Moli in two, Moli slightly raised his right leg and delivered a side kick, striking Nitta squarely in the stomach. Nitta was then sent flying back at an even faster speed.
With a "bang," Nitta Sadahira fell to the ground, creating a large crater. He clutched his stomach and vomited a large amount of bitter fluid mixed with blood.
Seeing this, Kowa quickly moved in front of Nitta Sadahira to prevent Moli from attacking him again.
Sayuri was also nearby, using water magic to heal Nitta Sadahira's wounds.
"How is this possible? This guy, how come he's become so strong in such a short time?"
"Nitta, you dare to fight me at close range? Have you forgotten how you knelt on the ground and begged for mercy back then?"
Upon hearing this, Nitta Teihei's face darkened; this was the darkest moment of his life.
Shortly after they transmigrated, Nitta and Moli each received skills from the goddess, and they agreed to have a competition.
As expected, Mo Li, with the advantage of being a mixed-race individual, beat Xin Tian to his knees and begged for mercy.
Nitta Teihei had never mentioned this before, and now that Mo Li had brought it up in public, he was even more embarrassed.
"You bastard, this time, I absolutely, positively won't let you escape again!"
Chapter 33 Mental Interference? Come and try my Tsukuyomi!
Nitta Teihei clutched his stomach while issuing a vicious threat.
Seeing this, Mo Li smiled disdainfully, not taking Nitta Sadahira in the slightest.
As he unleashed his full magical power, a twisted red symbol appeared on Mo Li's forehead, identical to the Command Seal pattern he had previously encountered in the Type-Moon world.
"Let me reintroduce myself, hero. I am the Demon King, the Demon King of the Eyes!"
"What? You are... Impossible!"
Upon hearing this, everyone's first reaction was disbelief, followed by shock.
Nitta Teihei had known about Mo Li's identity for a long time, but he had never told anyone else.
The goddess watched with great interest the mark on Mo Li's forehead, still wearing a smile.
Little Lily lowered her head even further, and no one could see the expression on her face.
"In that case, I won't hold back."
"Oh? Just you?"
Ellie was the first to step forward. She still remembered how Mo Li had injured her with a sword last time, causing her to lose her fighting ability. Hearing Mo Li say this, she immediately became excited.
Mo Li looked at Ellie coldly. If it were before, he might have been a little afraid, but now that he had the Kaleidoscope, Mo Li wanted to test the power of Tsukuyomi on her.
Ellie pulled out a staff and slammed it into the ground, creating a huge magic circle that enveloped everyone, including Mo Li.
"Once you've entered my territory, you won't leave here alive today!"
"Interesting. Even Nitta might not be able to beat me. Who gave you the courage?"
"Hmph, enough nonsense, bloom, vines!"
Suddenly, several huge vines sprang up from the ground, rushing straight towards Mo Li, trying to bind him.
Mo Li didn't even glance at it, too lazy to even activate Bloodlust. He unleashed his Sovereign Flame from his body, instantly burning away the attacking vines, which even showed signs of spreading towards Ellie.
Kova quickly pulled Ellie away, thus saving her from the flames.
"Ellie, let's go together, you support me from behind!"
Ellie nodded, and her staff struck the ground again, casting halos of light upon Kova.
Kova felt the energy within him, roared, and his body changed, growing sharp claws and fangs.
As a half-orc and half-human, Kova possesses the ability to transform into a half-orc, which greatly enhances his physical attributes, increasing both his strength and speed.
"Two against one? You don't think I don't have any backup, do you?!"
Mo Li raised his hand and snapped his fingers, and immediately several high-level magic missiles attacked from all directions.
Kova dodged repeatedly, but still managed to be hit head-on by the magic missile. If it weren't for his orcish physique, he would probably have been blown to bits.
Several elven elders emerged from the forest, their eyes bearing the mark of Geass, and surrounded the group.
"Elves? What's going on here?"
"Goddess, didn't you say that the Elf race never gets involved in wars? Why are you suddenly attacking us?"
"Damn it, Lily, quickly deploy the protective shield! These are all high-ranking mages!"
Nitta Sadahira didn't have time to think about anything else and quickly had Sayuri deploy the protective shield to prevent being focused down by the spirits.
Mo Li watched their actions but did not order the elven elders to continue their attack.
Why would the elves help the Demon King?
"Let me answer you. From this day forward, the forest spirits will submit to Lord Moli!"
Queen Galadriel stepped out from behind Morley, looking at the besieged crowd before her. A hint of hesitation flashed in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by determination.
Mo Li gently stroked Kailan's smooth, long hair, turned to look at Nitta Sadahira, and said:
Are you satisfied with this answer?
"Damn it, you must have done something, otherwise, how could the elves have turned against us?"
"Bingo, you guessed right! Here's a reward for you!"
With another snap of the fingers, the elven sages launched a frenzied attack on Nitta and his companions.
The nine great spells were unleashed recklessly, including some of the higher-level spells.
Nitta Teihei knew that Sayuri's protective shield could only hold out for a while; it definitely wouldn't be able to withstand prolonged bombing.
If they want to turn the tide, the most likely way is to defeat Mo Li in front of them.
Nitta gave Ellie a look, and Ellie immediately understood what he meant, quietly retreating to the back.
According to everyone's understanding, someone like Mo Li, who is good at close combat, is generally very weak in terms of mental defense.
Ellie happened to specialize in mental attacks. She silently recited a spell, looked up at Mo Li, and was about to cast a genjutsu on him when she unexpectedly saw Mo Li's Mangekyou Sharingan.
The next moment, Ellie was pulled into Mo Li's Tsukuyomi space.
"Where am I... wait, am I not in the Elf Forest?"
Ellie looked at the blood moon in the sky and couldn't help but tremble. A chill ran through her heart.
After walking only a few steps, Ellie was bound to a cross.
Even if Ellie was stupid, she would know that it was Mo Li playing a trick at this moment, and shouted loudly:
"Mo Li, I know you're here, come out!"
"No need to shout so loudly, I'm right in front of you."
Mo Li appeared out of thin air, looked at Ellie bound, and nodded thoughtfully.
This was also the first time Mo Li had used Tsukuyomi, and it was somewhat different from what he had expected.
"This is the world of Tsukuyomi. Unless you have the same eyes as me, you cannot escape."
"Impossible! It's just a slightly stronger illusion. Don't think I don't know, everything here is fake!"
Ellie has studied illusion magic for a long time and knows that so-called illusion magic is nothing more than a mental attack.
Upon hearing this, Mo Li couldn't help but laugh out loud. A long sword appeared out of thin air in Mo Li's hand and stabbed straight into Ellie's abdomen.
"Aaaaaaaah! Stop it!"
The pain made Ellie cry out, and when she looked at her abdomen, miraculously, not a drop of blood came out.
This made Ellie even more convinced that she was in an illusion and that the pain was fake.
"In the world of Tsukuyomi, I control everything—space, time, and mass. I will continue to torture myself like this for the next 72 hours!"
As Mo Li spoke, he stabbed Ellie's body with a knife.
Upon hearing Mo Li's explanation, Ellie's face turned ashen. Was she really going to have to endure this kind of weeping for three days and three nights?
"No, that's impossible! Everything here is fake! You're saying it's all fake!"
"Whether it's fake or not, why don't you try it yourself and you'll know?"
"Aaaaaaaaaaa!"
Ellie is constantly tormented in the world of Tsukuyomi, but from the outside, nothing seems to happen.
Nitta Sadahira glanced anxiously at Ellie, scolding her for not making a move yet, as Sayuri was almost at her limit.
Little did they know that Ellie was currently suffering from Mo Li's torment, a form of torture known as "being cut a thousand times."
"71 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds remaining!"
"How is that possible? Only... one second has passed since then!"
"Fine, let me see where your mental limits are!"
Chapter 34 Mental Collapse, Susanoo
Mo Li looked at Ellie, whose eyes were gradually losing their luster, and felt utterly disdainful. That's all.
If he can't even last a day, it seems his spirit will dissipate soon. Can this really be considered a mage?
"It should be about time by now!"
"What? What do you mean by that? What do you mean by almost?"
"5, 4, 3, 2, 1..."
As Mo Li counted down, Nitta Teihei felt a sudden tightness in his chest, as if something important was about to happen.
As soon as Mo Li finished speaking, everyone heard a "thump" and turned around to see Ellie lying on the ground.
Lily rushed forward to check on Ellie and used water magic to heal her.
No matter how much healing magic Sayuri used, Ellie showed no improvement whatsoever, and no matter how much Sayuri called out, she showed no sign of waking up.
After trying many methods, Little Lily shed tears, for it was clear that Ellie could not be saved.
"Damn it, Ellie, Ellie, wake up!"
Kova quickly went to Ellie's side and shook her body repeatedly, trying to wake her up.
Then, with trembling hands, Kova checked Ellie's breath, then closed his eyes tightly, a tear rolled down his cheek, and a roar echoed through the forest.
"My Goddess, do you have any way to save Ellie?"
Nitta Teihei placed his hopes on the goddess, and Kowa also looked to the goddess with expectant eyes, hoping that she could bring Ellie back to life.
But to everyone's surprise, the goddess shook her head and said calmly:
"There's nothing I can do. Once someone is dead, they're dead. Even the gods can't bring them back to life!"
"How could this be? It's you, it must be you, Mo Li, what have you done?"
Mo Li quietly observed the reactions of the people before him. Killing his former comrades did not shake Mo Li's resolve in the slightest; instead, it filled him with a sense of vengeful pleasure.
Looking at Nitta Sadahira who was questioning him, Mo Li shrugged and said helplessly:
"Yes, I did it. I was just giving them a taste of their own medicine."
"What? Could it be that you..."
"You think you're hiding it well? You wanted to use Ellie's mental interference to attack me. Not a bad idea, but you've only hurt your teammates!"
Nitta Teihei lowered his head in shame, realizing that everything he had done had been seen by Mo Li.
Now Nitta understands why Ellie died without any physical wounds. Her injuries were psychological; she must have suffered immense pain before her death.
"Ding! Detected that the host has killed a mage in the Hero faction. Reward: 2000 Demon King Points!"
The system's voice confirmed that Ellie was dead, and Mo Li couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Upon hearing Mo Li's smiling confession of killing Ellie, Kova finally couldn't hold back any longer. His half-orc bloodline fully awakened, and he roared as he charged towards Mo Li.
At this point, Kova had lost his rationality as a human being and was acting solely on instinct.
Kova's limbs evolved into beast paws, and he sprinted across the ground at an incredible speed, leaving only a blur in everyone's view.
