Just then, Lin Xiuyi spoke up first from behind.
He reached out and ruffled Xiaolan's hair, pulling her behind him to shield her, his tone as natural as if he were talking about something completely ordinary.
"Young man, you've got the wrong person. My name is Hayashi Hideichi, not Detective Mori. Detective Mori is over there."
Lin Xiuyi pointed to Kogoro Mouri, who was arguing with Ruri at the window, then looked down at Ran and smiled as he introduced her to Shinichi Kudo.
"This is my daughter, Lin Xiaolan. It's normal that you think she looks a lot like Lin Lan, because she is Lin Lan's half-sister."
