Chapter 149 Harry's Death Keeper in Court
Chapter 149 Harry's Death Keeper in Court
Chapter 150 Harry's Death Keeper in Court
Picking up where we left off, the scarred man insisted that something strange had happened thirteen years ago.
Seeing his confident tone, Lu Ping couldn't help but sigh. He hesitated for a long time before finally speaking.
"You're right, Harry. For the past ten years or so, I've been thinking about this almost every night, and the more I think about it, the stranger it seems."
"I don't understand why Blake wouldn't defend himself, not even utter a single lie. I also don't understand why the Aurors only found Peter's right index finger, and didn't even find any bone fragments in the rest of the body..."
As Scarface was pondering whether Peter Pettigrew had used Animagus's methods, he suddenly heard Lupin say that he had lost a finger, and the image of the fingerless mouse immediately came to mind.
At first glance, it seemed familiar, but after reciting it for a while, he was suddenly struck by the realization that it was like a firefly spell rising in the night, brightening his heart.
"Damn it! My brother Ron's pet rat, Spotted, is also missing a toe—its right claw!"
Upon hearing this, Lu Ping was terrified. He quickly closed his eyes and focused his mind, searching for anything he had seen on the train when he enrolled.
After a long while, he suddenly opened his eyes and let out a gasp of surprise, "Good heavens! I didn't even notice! That mouse really does look a lot like Peter's Animagus!"
Poems as proof:
Everyone knows that the black dog is treacherous; today, this rat has revealed its true colors.
Loyalty and treachery are hard to distinguish, right and wrong are deep; in the end, rats and dogs must gather together to testify before the court!
Harry paced back and forth, while Lupin looked gloomy. The old grudges and feuds from thirteen years ago were becoming increasingly elusive, leaving the two of them completely baffled.
After reading for a while, Harry cupped his hands and said, "This matter is very strange. If Uncle sees Black, please don't make a fuss. Let me find Peter and ask him both face to face to get to the bottom of things!"
Lupin nodded and sighed, "If only those Dementors could talk, at least we could figure out why they didn't stop Black when he sneaked in."
Before he could finish speaking, Harry clapped his hands and exclaimed, "Brilliant! Uncle's plan is excellent. The Dementors are guarding the entrances and exits of the castle. Why don't we ask them about it?"
"I'm sorry, Harry, you may be disappointed. Wizards and Dementors can only communicate in a very primitive and simple way."
Harry laughed. "That's easy! I may not understand the slang of those bird-like Dementors, but I do know a subordinate who does."
"Just have that fellow give the first word, and who cares what kind of Dementor he is, or even the Impermanence before the Yama's Palace or Satan in the Hall of Ten Thousand Demons, he'll have to speak openly with me."
Lupin was taken aback for a moment, then asked in surprise, "You have subordinates?"
"Second Uncle, please take a look."
Harry took his wand and chanted a Patronus Charm, and the giant, white-browed worm with piercing eyes spewed from the tip of the wand. With a flick of its jaws, five streams of black energy coalesced into a form—the Dementor.
Readers should know: the Patronus is inherently connected to the wizard's mind, without any concealment. Now that the Dementor has been turned into an accomplice by the Worm, it's like a rogue accepting a pledge of allegiance; its soul has been transformed into the Worm's hairs. How could Harry not know its intentions?
At that moment, the scarred man had a sudden thought, and the five soul-stealing ghosts headed straight for the Dementor by the woods.
Several ghosts floated and entangled. The Dementor wanted to approach the ghost, but hesitated. It was as if they were separated by water and oil, and the two did not stick together.
Lu Ping watched as the two soul-devouring ghosts emerged from the giant worm's mouth and entangled with a group of soul-devouring monsters. He was stunned for only a moment before all three thousand six hundred hairs on his scalp stood on end, and his internal organs seemed to hang in his throat.
"Harry?! You...you can control Dementors!"
Harry asked doubtfully, "Why do you ask such a question, Uncle? I clearly saw how I swallowed it on the train that day."
"...No, at that time I just thought your guardian spirit was special, able to imprison Dementors."
"Like the Greek sorcerer Andros, whose patron god was said to be a giant who could devour Dementors."
"But after he died, the Dementors escaped from the giant's guardian's belly."
Lupin stared at the licking worm, his mouth dry as he said, "As for the guardian spirits that can control Dementors, I've never heard of them."
Harry laughed upon hearing this, "If that's the case, then I can be considered to have made a name for myself in history."
As the two were speaking, the Dementor turned back and entered the worm's mouth. Once inside its belly, Harry understood.
Why don't those Dementors stop Blake?
It turns out that this Dementor is blind in its own eyes, relying only on its nose to discern people's seven emotions and six desires. However, birds and beasts are simple-minded, so these black creatures are like the deaf and blind, unable to see clearly.
It seems that Black used Animagus to brazenly wade through the feet of these blind judges.
Realizing the crucial point, the scarred man flew into a rage. "Damn it! This filthy scoundrel from the Ministry of Magic actually sent Dementors to capture Animagus! Isn't that like casting a spell on a blind man?!"
With a wave of his wand, he was about to have the giant worm disperse these blind black bastards.
Before he could even make a move, Lupin continued, "Harry, if I'm not mistaken, you control these Dementors by stuffing them into the Patronus's belly to complete some kind of ritual, right?"
Harry cupped his hands in admiration and said, "Second Uncle has a good eye; he truly deserves the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."
"Unfortunately, my belly is already full of five, and I can't swallow any more."
Lupin licked his lips. "What if your Patronus vomited out those five Dementors that belong to you first? As long as the ritual is completed inside the Dementors, they can belong to you forever, right?"
"Even outside the guardian deity's body, I will obey your commands."
Lu Ping was indeed experienced, had a keen eye, and his words were always to the point.
Harry clapped his hands and exclaimed, "Oh! Uncle is absolutely right! I've never seen so many Dementors before, and I completely overlooked the Patronus Charm!"
Lupin summoned his silver wolves, Patronus, to protect him, and said with satisfaction, "I'm glad I could help you, Harry."
Enough of this rambling. The scarred man immediately vomited five Soul-Stealing Ghosts and swallowed five Soul-Stealing Monsters.
When they vomited again, they all stood respectfully in front of each other.
Harry exclaimed with delight, "If I were to rise up in rebellion, I would never have to worry about lacking soldiers!"
Lupin smiled and nodded. "If they can remain loyal to you forever, then—wait, what do you mean by 'rise up in rebellion'? You're going to rebel?!"
Harry snorted coldly, about to unleash another torrent of abuse on the bunch of bastards at the Ministry of Magic, when suddenly his brow furrowed as memories of those Dementors devouring living beings flashed through his mind.
Along with the fear, sorrow, viciousness, and all the filth and turbidity in his chest, it all seemed like strong liquor that had been unsealed, splashing straight out!
It's truly a case of dark clouds pressing down on the city, threatening to crush it, with demons and monsters clinging to its bones!
