Chapter 8 Time is something you have to make.
Chapter 8 Time is something you have to make.
Learning magic is not something that can be mastered in a day or two; it cannot be rushed.
Therefore, you can temporarily put aside the study of the Guardian Charm and continue to learn the techniques of wandless spellcasting and the theoretical knowledge of Transfiguration.
Before the advent of wands, Professor McGonagall forbade young wizards from using Transfiguration.
He was still very busy every day, but after getting used to it, Owen found that he actually had time again. He did not waste this extra time, but sat down next to Mrs. Pince again and continued to study various theoretical knowledge. He finished the third-year course and was now working on the fourth-year course.
However, after studying for only half a month, Owen put down the books. He found that the courses from first to fourth grade were actually not much different, and the difficulty was nothing more than the application of magic.
Start with the simplest and harmless Light Charm and Levitation Charm, which turn matches into silver needles. Then gradually increase the difficulty. These are not difficult for him. Even without a wand, they are not a problem for him.
However, starting from fifth grade, the depth of the curriculum changed dramatically. The direction and content of the learning also became much more in-depth. For example, transfiguration involves the transformation between living and inanimate objects, and spells also involve ancient runes.
Owen had memorized all the spells in the textbook and would practice them often while jogging in the morning. But for ancient spells, he had to sit down and study them carefully. So the little wizard started using up a lot of quills, notebooks, and parchment again.
Memorizing by rote was too easy for Owen; he had never been stumped in his previous life, let alone with only a hundred or so ancient runes. The only price was that the little wizard was now walking down the street with his hands constantly drawing various ancient runes, which looked... a little abnormal.
Some people like to be unconventional and show off their personality, while others can't stand the former and can't help but want to teach the other person a lesson when they encounter them.
And so, someone stopped the little wizard once again...
Owen stared at them for a moment, then tilted his head and asked, "Mr. Raoul, Mr. Yaxley, and Mr. Travers, what's wrong with you? Why are you covering your heads with black cloths? Are you injured?"
The people who stopped him were stunned. One of them looked at Owen in disbelief: "Even in this state, you still recognize us?"
Owen chuckled and pointed at them, saying, "You're wearing Slytherin robes, and given your height, it's easy to recognize you."
"I...you..."
The three men ripped off the black cloths covering their faces and looked at Owen with malice. "Alright, since you've recognized us, there's no need for us to hide anymore, Mr. Owen. You know why we're here to see you, right?"
"Know."
He may still need to refine his brain-blocking technique, but he has mastered mind-controlling techniques quite well. Moreover, these three people made no attempt to conceal their malice.
Irving shrugged: "Your assignments are no longer my responsibility to grade. The decision to have you redo them was Professor Snape's, and it was his decision."
Since Dumbledore's last statement, the professors haven't asked Owen to grade assignments anymore, so Owen now has more time—enough to spend half an hour memorizing and understanding an ancient rune.
However, he didn't have the extra time to waste on such trivial matters, so...
"wind."
Three upperclassmen Slytherins were caught in three small tornadoes, and then they began to spin up and down with the tornadoes.
Then Owen left. It wasn't really a spell, just an alternative way of using magic and ancient runes. He could use it, but as for how to undo it... he hadn't figured it out yet. But based on the magic he had just used, he figured they would be down in about ten minutes.
No sooner had Irving left than several students arrived. Upon seeing the three trapped in the miniature tornado, they immediately gasped in surprise. Some of the quick-witted students turned and went to find the professor, while the less quick-witted ones hid behind the pillars and secretly watched.
Professor Flitwick arrived, and the moment he saw the three small tornadoes, he knew who had done it. It was precisely because he knew that he was somewhat angry.
"Stop the curse immediately!"
The tornado stopped, and the three students were freed, but the matter was not over. Without thinking, Flitwick immediately deducted ten points from Slytherin's score, and then had the three young wizards taken to the infirmary. After learning about their situation, Madam Pomfrey carefully selected three bottles of the worst-tasting potions, which had the worst reputation among all the students, and forced them to drink them.
Kyrie Irving's popularity is beyond what students can imagine.
Even though he only came for a holiday, everyone at Hogwarts, from the headmaster and professors to the ghosts and portraits, liked him. His inexplicable affability meant that even Peeves wouldn't tease him.
Immersed in the ocean of magical knowledge, Owen didn't care what others thought of him; now, he had a brand new learning goal.
After being introduced to ancient runes, he discovered that alchemy was a lucrative field and became completely engrossed in it.
This is a course that is only offered in the third year, and it is an elective course, so he doesn't have enough time for it now, because alchemy is more difficult than he imagined, and the professor in charge of this course does not live in Hogwarts; she only comes when she has class.
Elective courses mean that while he is taking this course, he is also taking other main courses. Because he cannot be in two places at once, Irving can only grapple with those dry theoretical knowledge, but even so, it takes a lot of time.
"Not enough time?"
Professor McGonagall looked at the young wizard in surprise, then at those pure, black gem-like eyes, and suddenly laughed: "Hehe, dear, you have plenty of time. You don't need to think about learning everything. You can take it one step at a time."
Irving paused for a moment, then nodded in realization. Indeed, he had been too hasty. Compared to normal students, he did have a lot of time, but he had filled his schedule too full. If he could just rearrange his timetable, he could still squeeze out some time.
then……
