Chapter 354 Quidditch World Cup
Chapter 354 Quidditch World Cup
Chapter 354 Quidditch World Cup
Summer vacation always flies by. Loila felt like she had only casually studied the magic circle, and July had already passed in the blink of an eye.
Nothing particularly noteworthy happened during this time—well, actually, something did happen; Mr. Parkinson from the Ministry of Magic came by a few days ago.
He invited Roy to arrest a guy who had escaped from Azkaban—I think his name was Sirius Black.
What a cool name—a guy with a name like that doesn't sound like someone easy to deal with—and having escaped from Azkaban—Loila had to remind Mr. Parkinson to keep an eye on Peterson, or things would get bad if he escaped too.
However, Mr. Parkinson's expression seemed quite strange when he heard this.
"Peterson will have a very difficult time escaping."
When Loila asked why he said that, he acted as if it was something a lady like her shouldn't know.
You're usually the kind of person who speaks your mind completely—how did you end up keeping people in suspense like this?
In response, Loila did not accept any request to arrest Sirius Black—she had more interesting things to do, didn't she?
And he was able to escape from Azkaban, so he must be a very dangerous guy. Shouldn't we ask Dumbledore about this?
Doesn't an old guy like him ever go out and get some exercise?
This was not something Loila should know. She stretched and glanced at the sunlight outside the window.
Hmm—I have to say, it's still a bit hot in Germany in July. Is it really necessary to go see the Quidditch World Cup in this heat? Royla subconsciously wanted to refuse, but she was going with Luna—she was her friend, and going to a football match with a friend would be a novel experience.
That's how Loila comforted herself, anyway.
Besides, I've made special preparations, so it wouldn't be good if I didn't go, would it?
Thinking this, Loila gently waved her wand and dressed herself, putting on her hat.
"Are we about to leave?" Miss Nagini, who was leaning back in her chair, drinking coffee and looking at some book, looked up and blinked.
"Hmm." Loila nodded, then asked as if she had thought of something, "Miss Nagini—are you really not coming with us?"
"Ah—I'm not really interested in Quidditch," Nagini said with a shrug. "Besides, you only have two tickets, don't you?"
"Um—that—" Just as Loila was about to say something like, "Miss Nagini, being a snake and not human, can just sneak in," Nagini raised an eyebrow and said, "I have a feeling you're about to say something a little rude."
"I'm so sorry," Loila said, bowing her head.
"Alright, I'm not blaming you." Nagini smiled gently at the sight, slowly got up to tidy Loila's hair, and then said, "It's just that this book is very interesting, and I've decided to finish reading it in the next few days."
So that's the reason — Loila never expected that her and Luna's attraction would be lost to a book. If it were me, that would definitely be the case — but the other person is Luna.
And we actually lost to Mr. Lockhart's book—Loira sighed upon seeing the author of that book, then gently raised her wand and flicked it, disappearing from the room.
After the surrounding scenery blurred, when Loira could see her surroundings clearly again, she was already standing at the door of Luna's house.
Looking at the house in front of her, which resembled a windmill, Loila coughed and then straightened her expression.
I'm an adult, and this time I'm taking Luna to a foreign country where we'll be facing countless strangers. I need to show my maturity as an adult!
Absolutely not————
"Clatter".
The door to the room was suddenly opened, and a large golden lion's face appeared in the doorway.
Loila stared at him for a second before suddenly letting out a scream.
"what!"
She frantically took a few steps back, trying to pull out her wand, but was so startled that she fell to the ground before she could even stand up straight.
"Lion—Lion!" she stammered, "No—don't eat me!"
"Eat you?" the lion slowly spoke. "Why would I eat Loila?"
"Luna?" Loila breathed a slight sigh of relief when she recognized the voice—so this was Luna in disguise?
Why pretend to be a lion?!
"That's the logo of the Bulgarian Quidditch team," Luna said, seemingly noticing Loila's confusion. She removed the huge golden lion mask and added, "I think they'll win the championship!"
"Why—why not the England team?"
"They were eliminated."
It's a rather sad question — but it's even more embarrassing to feel scared by something like this — we were just talking about adults and stuff.
Loila blushed slightly as she got up, unsure of what to say.
After a long pause, she finally spoke slowly: "Lofghurst—where is Mr. Goode?"
"Dad went out," Luna said with a shrug. "He knows you're coming today."
"I see. It seems Mr. Lovegood has gone to Sweden. Then you can rest assured and leave Luna to me!"
Leave it to me, a reliable "adult"!
Loila pursed her lips, feeling her confidence return instantly.
"So Luna, are you ready?" she asked after thinking for a moment. After all, the Quidditch World Cup seemed to last for several days, and she had already prepared a tent based on the same principle as her Space Stretch Book, as well as clothes and such.
"I'm all ready too," Luna nodded. "Just waiting for Loira to arrive!"
"Ah—but there are still a few things I'm considering whether to bring."
"What is it?"
"These demon-proof goggles — and spray to repel harassing horseflies."
"Take it—take it, it's not really right anyway, is it?" Loila pursed her lips as she watched Luna carefully put on her glasses.
"That's all," Luna nodded, saying in a light, melodious voice, "I'm ready to participate in the World Cup."
Don't talk like you're a team member too—but has Luna ever played Quidditch? Loila doesn't seem to remember much about it.
She seems to be just a simple bystander.
"So how should we get there?" Luna, having finished packing, interrupted Loila's thoughts: "Are we riding unicorns?"
""
"That probably won't work, right?" Loila thought for a moment, wondering if it would be too cold and that it would take a long time to ride. Although she had never watched the World Cup, she had heard from Mr. Parkinson that the competition was not in England.
"Could it be... a dragon?"
"It shouldn't be either—" Loila thought for a moment and took out two tickets from her pocket. These were specially given to her by Mr. Parkinson after he heard about them, and it was said that they were given to her by Minister Fudge.
Although he raises an army of giants and fire spirits, he is surprisingly a good person — so is there something fishy about this ticket?
Loila pondered for a moment, then to her surprise, she noticed that the ticket emitted a faint glow.
Immediately afterwards, a gust of wind came from overhead. Loila was stunned for a moment, and then saw a carriage pulled by a Thestral slowly descending from the sky.
"Good afternoon, Miss Hamilton. Have you decided to go to the Quidditch World Cup today?"
Looking at the black-robed wizard driving the carriage, Loila pursed her lips and nodded somewhat awkwardly.
Mr. Parkinson's didn't tell me that there would be a personal chauffeur service!
