Chapter 305 Hermione and Ron's Actions
"So what should we do?"
Ron stretched as he leaned against the entrance to Hogwarts.
"Of course we're waiting for Professor Rozier to come out," Hermione said, raising an eyebrow.
"Are we just going to wait like this?" Ron raised an eyebrow, annoyed, and said, "It's freezing."
"Well, we don't have a better way, do we?" Hermione sighed helplessly. "But it shouldn't be long."
"The party is about to start, and Professor Hamilton should be leaving soon—she certainly won't be far from Professor Hamilton—"
"Miss Granger, and Mr. Weasley?"
Suddenly, a somewhat unexpected voice came from inside. The two looked up and saw Professor Peterson Hamilton, who was wearing a robe and gold-rimmed glasses.
"Professor Hamilton." Hermione smiled.
"What are you doing here?" Peterson asked, somewhat puzzled. "I remember you're also a member of the Pinecone Party, aren't you?"
""
"Ah—I'm waiting for a friend," Hermione said, waving her hand. "We'll go together when he arrives."
"I see." Peterson nodded knowingly. "Then see you at the Pinecone Party gathering."
After saying that, he walked away.
"Are you close to him?" Ron asked, frowning slightly as he watched him walk away.
"Of course," Hermione nodded. "He's the only professor in the Pinecone Party, you know."
"What?" Ron's eyes widened. "You mean—he's also a member of the Pinecone Party?"
"Hmm." Hermione chuckled. "Didn't expect there to be a professor among us, did you?"
"There really isn't one."
"The idea for this gathering was also proposed by Professor Peterson," Hermione shrugged and continued, "He's quite interested in Professor Hamilton."
"They're family, after all, right?" Ron shrugged. "But if George or Fred invited me to something like this—I'd definitely suspect they were up to something bad."
Hermione didn't speak upon hearing this, but nodded in agreement.
Just as the two were chatting, a figure wrapped in a robe gradually approached, instantly turning the relaxed atmosphere serious.
"She's here," Hermione said, nudging Ron before her smile faded slightly.
Ron pursed his lips immediately upon seeing who it was.
"Professor Rozier, good evening." Hermione smiled immediately as she saw her walk past. "Where are you headed?"
"Just something to take care of," Shiloh said casually, then quickly walked past the two. Her gaze searched the distance, and after spotting something, a knowing look appeared on her face.
"Watching her walk a distance, Hermione nodded slightly to Ron, and then began to walk as well."
"She really is going to Hogsmeade," Ron muttered as they walked. "Could she really be planning something with Professor Hamilton?"
"We can't be that sure yet," Hermione replied in a low voice as well. "She could just have gone to Hogsmeade to buy something—"
There weren't many people on the way to Hogsmeade, since it was already evening and no students would be heading there at this time except for those attending parties.
Therefore, this once bustling road now appears somewhat deserted, with only a few figures walking back and forth under the dim streetlights.
What are they trying to do?
Hilo Rozier hadn't walked far ahead when she noticed two little tails following her—were they going to a party?
However, she could always feel inexplicable stares—as one of the most elite wizards of the Witchcraft Party, Hilo was very sensitive to being looked at by others.
Or were they doubting themselves? Almost instantly, Hilo got the correct answer.
It must be because I was too hostile towards Miss Hamilton—which aroused their suspicion—this is a bit troublesome.
Hilo really hadn't expected any students to dare follow him—but he didn't seem to have time to deal with them right now.
Hilo nodded at the figure that was walking further ahead of her, almost invisible.
That was Peterson Hamilton—and he didn't go to Hogsmeade with Miss Hamilton, but chose to go alone—wasn't that a little strange?
There was still a while before the party started—Hilo flicked his sleeve and glanced at his pocket watch.
Logically speaking, there's no need to do it so early—so what is he planning to do?
Just as she was thinking this, Hilo suddenly realized something and looked at the woods on both sides of the road—there were people moving inside—and not just one person.
They are following Peterson's lead —
Upon noticing this, Shiloh frowned slightly. After a quick thought, she came to a conclusion: this might be an ambush set up by the person who wanted to kill Miss Hamilton.
Trying to ambush us in the woods using our numerical advantage? Too bad—that's what we've tried before.
Although she felt that Miss Hamilton would not be in any danger, Shiloh still slightly tightened her grip on the wand hidden in her sleeve.
But Peterson—she frowned as she looked at the figure that had already walked away, and nodded after thinking for a few seconds.
"Miss Granger—Mr. Weasley." She turned her head slightly to look at the two students following behind her.
"Huh?" The two people who were suddenly called by name were taken aback.
"Um—what's wrong, Professor?"
"Could we have been discovered?" Hermione thought instinctively, a little scared, while Ron slowly stood in front of her.
This place is quite a distance from Hogwarts and Hogsmeade—on a night like this, even if something happened, it seems unlikely anyone would notice—
Professor Rozier wouldn't do that to us—
Hermione pursed her lips and took a few steps back.
Seeing her back away, Shiloh raised an eyebrow and slowly approached, then looked down at the two somewhat nervous students and said, "Since you both dared to follow me—there's no need to be afraid, is there?"
"Ah—we didn't—" Hermione stammered, trying to explain, but Heero just snorted and said, "Alright—stop playing games."
"You suspect I'm going to do something to Miss Hamilton, don't you?"
"No—no!"
"Whether you have such suspicions or not," Hilo paused and said, "I can tell you—I will not do that."
"At least not for now—" she said, closing her eyes and slowly pulling her wand from her sleeve.
"Professor, what are you doing—" Seeing her take out her wand, Hermione and Ron also instinctively pulled out their wands as well.
"Don't misunderstand." Noticing their movements, Shiloh shook her head slightly. "I'm just here to deal with some people—who really want to harm Miss Hamilton."
"And you—you should hurry up and attend the banquet." She said with a smile, "This place isn't suitable for students."
With that, she flicked her wand: "Apparition."
He simply vanished from the sight of the two students.
"Where's Professor Rozier?!" Hermione and Ron stared wide-eyed, looking around in bewilderment.
"Did she run away?" Ron asked, pursing his lips.
"No—not necessarily." Hermione gritted her teeth in confusion, thought for a few seconds, and then muttered, "Things seem to be—not quite the same as we guessed before."
Hilo, who had appeared in the forest in a flash, slowly opened her eyes. Not far in front of her, seven or eight masked wizards were carefully moving forward.
It seemed that no one noticed her presence.
Ha—do they really think they can kill Miss Hamilton with just a few of them?
Hilo couldn't help but sneer—whether it was naiveté or some other special ability, she didn't know.
But it doesn't matter which one it is.
--------
Hilo raised his wand and flicked it lightly.
