Chapter 259 A Few Things You Need to Know About Going Home
"Going home—?"
Nagini leaned against the window, listening to Loira's words and nodding gently: "So you've really made up your mind?"
"Uh-huh!"
Loila thought for a few seconds, then nodded seriously: "I—I've decided—I want to go back—"
"Go back and take a look."
"Is it because you're homesick, or is it just because of Mr. PH?" Nagini asked, stretching.
"Of course it's because of home—okay—it's because of Mr. H! Don't pinch me!" Loila shrank back to prevent Nagini's outstretched hand from touching her pointed ears.
For some reason, Miss Nagini seems to have picked up the habit from Luna and also likes to touch her ears every day.
I'm Veela mixed-race, but I'm not a dog! Don't touch my ears like you would a puppy's head!
Hmm—Loila suddenly remembered Miss Shiloh's previous comments.
"Are you Dumbledore's pet dog?"
"Hmm—" Could it be that I really do look a bit like a puppy? Loila quickly shook her head to stop herself from having such strange thoughts.
Nagini raised an eyebrow at Loila, whose expression seemed a little strange, and continued, "If—you're doing this for P..."
Regarding Mr. H's matter—"
"To be honest, I've never felt that your cousin and Mr. PH had any connection." Nagini paused, then muttered suspiciously, "Are you sure this isn't some kind of malicious joke?"
"It shouldn't be—of course not!" Loila shook her head firmly. "Peterson wouldn't lie to me—after all, he's my—my family."
"Family?" Nagini gave a knowing smile. "Unfortunately, I have no family, so I probably can't offer you any experience."
"You can't say that, Miss Nagini!"
"Alright, alright, so you want to know what preparations you need to make when you go home?" Nagini shrugged and asked, "But to be honest, I don't really have any ideas about this."
"After all, I've never been home—but if I were to go home—" Nagini said after a few seconds of thought, "I'd probably buy a nice robe first, wouldn't I?"
"Or rather, a new robe."
"Hmm?" Loila looked down at her robe upon hearing this—well, she had indeed been wearing this robe for a while; it was a robe that Mr. Lupin had bought with her before she came to Hogwarts last year.
Because of constant washing, this robe has faded a bit—but it's very comfortable!
"That won't do, Loila." Seemingly understanding Loila's meaning, Nagini reached out and pulled up her robe: "This robe doesn't quite suit your current status."
"You're currently a rising star at Hogwarts, and also the most renowned magic array expert in the entire European wizarding world."
"Wearing such a slightly worn robe is not a good look."
"Especially—" Nagini lowered her voice as if remembering something, "I've heard that pure-blood wizards value first impressions very much."
"Going there like that might be seen as disrespectful to them."
"Ugh!" Loila shuddered at her words, and suddenly some unpleasant memories came to mind—even Muller, who was by her side at the time, was somewhat helpless in the face of those people's attack.
I don't want to repeat what happened in the past—since I've already promised Muller to walk out that door, I have to take it seriously!
That's right, I'm going to Hogsmeade to buy clothes—
"Any other suggestions?" Loila asked Nagini.
"Hmm—" Nagini thought for a few seconds after hearing this, then said, "Perhaps you could try sending some gifts?"
"Look—the most popular people at Christmas are probably the uncles and aunts who come home from a trip with presents in their hands, right?"
"I'm not an auntie—"
"That's not what I meant." Nagini paused for a moment, then reached out and patted Loila's head. "What I meant was, in terms of seniority, aren't you an elder?"
"It seems normal to bring a small gift, right?"
"Hmm—it seems so." Loila nodded slightly in agreement with Miss Nagini's statement, which was that taking the Galon given to her by Peterson to buy them gifts—it just seemed a bit strange.
But it seems pointless to think about it so much!
"And then, is there anything else?" Loila had already written down Miss Nagini's suggestions in her notebook, and the fact that they were mixed together with various magical array knowledge already showed how much she valued them.
"Anything else—I'm not quite sure." Nagini shrugged. "But you'd better be prepared to speak."
"Preparation for speaking?"
"And you can't wear a mask either," Nagini reminded her. "Isn't wearing a mask a bit disrespectful?"
So wearing a mask has this kind of meaning?
But without a mask—Loila pursed her lips, lowered her head, and thought for a few seconds.
Although we're supposed to walk out of that door, aren't we walking too fast—it feels like we're going to smash the door open!
"You should just focus on the issue of speaking." Seeing Loira's troubled expression, Nagini shook her head helplessly: "It seems that not wearing a mask is still a bit difficult for you."
"Okay—okay." Loila nodded and carefully wrote down her words in her notebook.
This was the most difficult preparation I had to do—first, I had to write the manuscript, then work on it for several weeks, and finally, it would be best to rehearse it in front of Miss Nagini.
So tired—
Just thinking about it made Loila feel incredibly tired.
But it seems there's nothing I can do about it; after all, I chose Mr. PH.
However, Miss Nagini's statement is not without merit—Mr. PH seems—he does seem to be quite different from Peterson.
If I had to pinpoint the exact difference, it would be between Mr. Riddle and Voldemort.
After all, Mr. PH seemed to have a rather—mischievous—taste, while Peterson was much more serious.
But whether it is true or not, I should know once I go there, right?
Since Peterson said that, there must be something or some clue about Mr. P—
—Loila nodded slightly as she thought of this.
Little did I know that my journey home would be—a secret special operation.
Looking at the notebook in my hand—I don't seem to feel that way at all—
"Wait a minute—" Nagini asked as if she had suddenly remembered something, "If you're going home for Christmas—"
What should I do?
"Hmm?" Loila nudged her hand, wanting to suggest going to find Luna, but then she remembered what they were doing behind her back—
"How about going with—Dumbledore?"
Seeing the somewhat abnormal smile on Loila's face, Nagini's lips twitched.
