Chapter 316 Doubt

Chapter 316 Doubt

Holding a small cell phone in his hand, Connors casually tossed it into the House of Mystery.

This was given to him by Iron Man when he left Avengers Tower, saying it was for keeping in touch at any time.

On the mutant island of Krakoa, Connors used the "Etherealization" magic he had learned from Zatanna Zero on Earth to make himself invisible and silently arrive at the top of the island's clock tower.

While his true self was at the Avengers Tower in New York, a part of his mind controlled "Kusama" and "Gryphon" Iliana to chat there for a morning.

"—It's hard to imagine that you sometimes know so much about the Avengers and mutants, but sometimes you know absolutely nothing about certain things."

"Genius" said in surprise that her conversations with "Kusama" were almost entirely about mutants and the Avengers, and that Connors knew nothing about what had happened in this world before, yet could name any of the ability users.

Silently retracting "Kusama Man," Connors himself stood before "Ghost":

"Because before this, I was just an ordinary person. To me, anyone with the ability to punish evil and promote good is a superhero. Whether they are Avengers or mutants makes no difference to me."

"However, I have fantasized about having a long talk with Magik, one of the most beautiful mutants."

Connors's flattery flowed freely, making "Secret Guest's" eyes sparkle.

Is the scene you're imagining this clock tower? Or is it on a large bed in some room?

wide"

"In bed," Connors said with unusual honesty.

"Come with me," said "Mystery," Iliana, reaching out to create a rift in the air in front of her and pulling Connors inside.

The crack closed rapidly after the two crawled in, and Connors discovered that this was not Iliana's room, but a chaotic space filled with crimson and purple.

"This is the border of hell, and I am its ruler," said Iliana, "the Magik." "Here, no one else can use any of their abilities, and you just followed me in without any precautions."

Flames burned everywhere in the borderlands of hell, but apart from that, there were no monsters, making the place seem desolate.

Connors curiously tried using his newly acquired "Flame Lord" ability, turning a nearby blue flame into a large question mark:

"You see, I can still use my abilities."

"Mystic" Iliana frowned, revealing her Soul Blade in her hand:

"Tell me, as someone who controls almost all the information about the Avengers and mutants, what is your purpose in joining the 'Endangered Team'?"

"The Secret Guest" Iliana and "The Grass Man" chatted all morning and came to this conclusion, which surprised even Connors himself:

"Purpose? To watch the drama unfold?"

Now it was "Megami" Iliana's turn to be stunned:

What does "eating melon seeds" mean?

"that is·-""

Just as Connors was about to explain, he noticed that "Ghost" Iliana's Soul Blade, radiating chaotic energy, was dragging on the ground as she charged towards him.

Judging from her posture, she was clearly planning to take Connors down first, and then get the answer she wanted.

Connors's "Kusama Man" and "Mike" spent the morning talking to each other to improve their relationship, while "Mike's" goal was to gain Connors's trust so that he could bring him into his own domain.

Here, she could unleash her full potential, but she still underestimated the range of abilities Connors possessed.

"Polymer chain mimicry" turned Connors' hands into countless tentacles, and even if they were severed by "Meg", new tentacles would immediately replenish them.

Faced with an overwhelming swarm of tentacles, even with a Soul Blade in each hand, "Ghost" Iliana couldn't cut them all down. In a moment of carelessness, she was caught by the tentacles and then bound by Connors, who hoisted her into the air.

"You're not going to say that this is also part of a 'locksmith's' skills, are you?"

Although her body was bound by tentacles, "Magical" Iliana smiled as if she had just seen through Connors' mask:

"Mr. Ominous has collected the genes of countless mutants, aiming to create the most perfect life form. Judging from his actions yesterday, where he kept saying he was using you as a pawn but ultimately nothing came of it—"

"You are that 'perfect life,' right?"

Suddenly, a burst of intense blue-purple energy erupted from "Miracle." Her armor and the scales on her skin began to change. Horns grew from her head, her legs turned into goat hooves, and a barbed tail extended from her back.

With a shudder, she easily broke free from the tentacles' restraints, and the Soul Blades she held in her hands merged together, transforming into a giant sword comparable in size to her entire body.

The blue-purple energy on the greatsword rose like flames, and it looked incredibly powerful.

At this moment, Illana, now transformed into the Queen of Hell's Frontier, resembling a demon, gripped her greatsword with both hands and swung it down at Connors.

"You successfully tricked Storm and the White Queen using your genetic advantages," Scott told me, "Cyclops."

"If you continue like this, the next one will be Hope, the Omega-level mutant who carries the hopes of mutants."

The greatsword finally struck Connors' shoulder with a clang that almost distorted the air.

Connors tilted his head to look at the giant sword that had slashed down on his shoulder, which looked like a huge door panel, and smiled as he blew on it.

Among his many abilities, some of them come with additional benefits.

For example, "riding the waves" comes with the ability to breathe underwater, and "Omega effect" comes with a whole host of abilities, including "Omega rays".

The "photosynthesis" ability, a flawless "Kryptonian" physique clearly copied from the melon-eating system, also includes Superman's...

"Frozen breathing".

As Connors exhaled, icy cold air began to spread rapidly along the greatsword, covering it with a dense layer of frost.

In just a moment, it extended to the hilt of the sword that "Mysterious One" Iliana was holding with both hands.

The icy aura made her involuntarily loosen her grip on the greatsword, staring at Connors in astonishment.

"So that's why you've suddenly become so paranoid. Turns out it's 'Cyclops' Scott causing trouble behind the scenes—."

Connors suddenly realized, his mind racing as he recalled images he hadn't paid any attention to in the past few days:

When Connors first met him, he noticed the way the man's eyes lit up when he looked at "Lady of the House" and "Wonder Woman," the slight twitch of his facial muscles when "Storm" spoke to him, and the silent presence he showed when he healed "White Queen's" severed arm. "Just like his comic book character, lecherous, unreasonable, and xenophobic," Connors muttered to himself, already having a plan for dealing with this "Cyclops."

But the problem of "Mickey" needs to be solved first.
