Chapter 279 Jealousy
"Who is this?"
Inside the mysterious house, two little girls who were sent there because Connors went to see Lady Shangdu quietly opened one of the doors and huddled together to look inside.
Little Ivy curiously peered through the crack in the door and saw a short-haired blonde girl dressed in white, black, and pink battle armor sitting in the room.
"When Connors was scaring that witch, he seemed to mention that there were two incredibly powerful beings imprisoned inside this mysterious house—"
Little Aisley whispered to Little Ivy in a low voice, her gaze filled with apprehension as she looked at "Spider-Gwen" sitting inside the room.
Little Ivy frowned and thought carefully for a moment, then quickly pulled Aisley away.
Once they returned to the room within the Mysterious House that served as their living quarters, they dared to speak more openly:
"That girl must be the one Connors mentioned, the one who can shoot spider silk and has immense strength, right?"
After being reminded by Acely, Little Ivy remembered what Connors had said not long ago.
Those words were just meant to scare Morgan le Fay, but unexpectedly, the two little girls became timid and hesitant because of them. Aisley nodded:
"Yeah, she looks like she has an average build, but Connors described her as having superhuman strength. Could she be another descendant of some ancient god like Wonder Woman?"
Little Ivy shook her head, disagreeing with the answer. After thinking carefully, she corrected her:
I think—
Before she could finish speaking, a sinister voice rang out above their heads:
"What are you guys talking about~"
As soon as the sound was uttered, the two little girls' soft bodies immediately stiffened.
The living room of the Mysterious House has a fireplace, where the flames, which seem to never go out, burn exceptionally brightly, but the two "Poison Ivy Lolis" feel no warmth at all.
When they cautiously tilted their heads back to look up, a cold sweat broke out on their backs, and they scrambled to either side with a scream.
After the "Lords of Justice" turned into children, they had some playful thoughts, to the point that they had to bring out the entire "Lord of Justice" mech to deal with Mordred.
When the two Poison Ivy girls were resurrected and their bodies were frozen in the form of seven or eight-year-old girls, they not only retained their memories of being Poison Ivy girls, but also developed a lot more of a childlike nature.
Startled by the eerie shadow hanging down from above, the two little girls immediately took countermeasures: one erected a sturdy wall of thorny wood, while the other manipulated giant, python-like vines to pounce on the shadow above.
Who knew that the figure hidden in the shadow of the chandelier was exceptionally agile, moving left and right above the chandelier without being touched by the vines at all.
"No, this will only waste time." Little Ivy made a quick decision. "Aisley, you protect me. I'm going to use all my strength to deal with it."
"Woolen cloth?"
As soon as Ivy spoke, Aisley didn't react much, but the figure above the two of them paused for a moment, then let go of its grip and fell down, landing steadily in front of the two little girls:
"Seriously? You two were spying on me. I just wanted to scare you, did you have to risk your lives?"
Spider Gwen shrugged helplessly. Looking at the wary eyes of the two little girls in front of her, she realized that this was Connors' "Mystery House," and anyone who could be here must not be an outsider.
For various reasons, Spider-Gwen reached out and removed the mask from her head, revealing her soft-featured face with a delicate, upturned nose.
The two little girls paused, their hands freezing as they manipulated the plants. Little Ivy tentatively asked:
"Are you just trying to scare us?"
"Otherwise what? It wasn't until that zombie world was destroyed that Connors hid me in this strange room, and then you appeared. I suppose Connors was the one who rescued you, right?"
Spider-Gwen explained on behalf of the two little girls as a matter of course, and even exclaimed sincerely:
"I was just wondering how you managed to survive in a world full of zombies, but I never imagined you could control plants. This is the first time I've ever seen anyone with this ability. How did you acquire it?"
"Born that way? Genetics? Mutation? Or radiation?"
The question left the two little girls completely bewildered; they didn't understand anything about zombies or destruction.
Little Ivy quickly seized the blind spot:
"Wait, you mean you just came in and noticed us sneaking the door open a crack?"
Spider Gwen nodded; she didn't find anything suspicious about it.
"Yes, I noticed you two the moment the door opened. I thought it was Connors coming in, but it was just the two of you. —Is there a problem?"
"The problem is, in our timeline, you've been in this house for a very long time!" Ashley understood what Ivy was trying to say.
Spider-Gwen was startled:
"Really? I need to get Connors to send me back to my world right away. I haven't been back for so long, my dad must be putting out missing person notices all over the world, and I'll probably lose my job too—oh, my workplace was eaten by lizards."
The two little girls were confused again. Why did this girl in the spider-patterned battle suit seem to be from another world? And what was this lizard she was talking about?
Ignoring the two little girls standing there dumbfounded, Spider-Gwen continued knocking on the walls, searching the room for someone:
"Connors, Connors!"
While in the dream of "Lord Hunter", Connors was also able to enter the Mysterious House, which confirmed to him that he was a physical entity entering the dream, and not just a consciousness.
Standing on the dusty Martian ground, Connors was about to use telepathy to find Lord Hunter John Jones when he suddenly heard someone calling him from inside the Mystery House.
When he entered the mystery house, he saw Spider Gwen lying face down on the floor, trying to find herself under the sofa.
Next to Spider-Gwen, who was showing off her beautiful curves by displaying her buttocks, two "Poison Ivy Lolis" stared at each other wide-eyed.
He had a blank and innocent expression.
Connors was still in the state of "telepathic" shielding himself from the medieval museum on Earth.
His appearance was so quiet that it went unnoticed by Spider-Gwen.
Taking a few steps forward stealthily, *smack!* Connors slapped Spider-Gwen's shapely buttocks, simultaneously disabling his "telepathic" self-protection:
Who are you looking for?
Spider Gwen recognized Connors from the touch of his rear and the sound she heard, and immediately sprang to her feet and pounced into his arms:
"Of course I'm looking for you!"
From Connors' perspective, he hadn't seen Spider Gwen for at least half a month, but from Spider Gwen's perspective, Connors had just sent her in when he appeared right behind her.
The two people's embraces had different meanings, but the two "Poison Ivy Lolis" standing nearby didn't see much difference.
Then the two little girls' faces fell, and one on each side of Connors' legs, they clung to his thighs like koalas, their voices sweet and coquettish:
"dad!"
