Countless rotting vines wrapped around the staggering Magnus, whose aura was rapidly fading. Magnus took out the stone formed from the green skin's power and attached most of his remaining power to it.
Magnus threw the greenstone at Mortarion.
+Motalian! What else do you need?! +
Amidst the Crimson King's piercing scream, the corpses in the swamp watched Magnus vanish into nothingness.
A shimmering green stone fell in front of him, splashing water, the green light flashing briefly before fading away.
But in a corner where no one paid attention, a glint flashed in his eyes.
He believed he had made his meaning clear to Magnus.
【Aa ...
Magnus screamed, his forehead covered in cold sweat. Through his blurred vision, he glimpsed Hades in front of him, holding Blake with a worried expression.
【Don't stop!!!】
Magnus roared wildly, "Don't stop! He said—Don't stop!!!"
"What the hell? Stop! Little Mag, have you found Old Mo yet?!" Hades shouted as well.
What a surprise!
He realized that his fighting spirit had begun to beat again.
Yay, it's gone!
Chapter 569 Green and Green
Don't stop—
"What the hell?! Don't stop?!"
Hades threw Black—no, roughly placed him on the ground—and reached out to try and calm Magnus, but his hand passed right through the Primarch's phantom.
Hades hesitated for a moment, then decisively activated his Dark Domain, unleashing a palm strike to apply the Dark Domain Palm, intending to physically calm Magnus down.
However, just as he was about to make his move, Magnus's phantom let out a short scream and thud. Hades stared at the stone that had fallen to the ground, which was faintly glowing green, and fell into deep thought.
Soon after, Magnus's weak voice came from the stone.
I'm fine...
Hades then put away the Dark Domain and picked up the stone.
"How about it?"
"Found it..." Magnus's voice trembled slightly. This journey to the High Heavens had also consumed a lot of his spiritual energy, as well as a small portion of his soul.
[Motalian is in the garden; he... I think he's been affected by the backlash.]
"Backlash?"
Hades frowned, gripping the stone in his hand, and asked, "What does this mean?"
Death turned against him.
Magnus said, "Have you ever heard of the Eldar? I have found fragments of information about them in some destroyed Eldar worlds."
"Speak the key."
Magnus paused for a moment, seemingly annoyed that Hades was unwilling to heed his earnest teachings.
"This race has never given up its efforts to exterminate the youngest," Magnus said. "In their legends, the youngest can be ended simply by awakening their reaper."
"But I've collected some interesting remarks," Magnus paused for a moment, seemingly waiting for Hades to chime in. Hades didn't understand why the Eldar were being brought up again, but he still echoed in agreement.
In the legends of the Eldar—all conditions that can awaken Death are contradictory!
Magnus raised his voice, "This means they simply cannot awaken their own Death."
"But what does this have to do with Mortarion?"
Hades interrupted, steer the conversation back on track.
Magnus coughed. "Some Eldar scholars have offered a different perspective. The alien races believe that the reason the conditions for awakening the Eldar Death God are contradictory is because..."
One possibility is that Death itself is the dead.
[The god who governs death is, in essence, the dead—this seems contradictory, but it is possible for such a being to exist.]
Magnus said, "This is the current state of the Mottarians."
"Of course," the Primarch spoke before Hades could, quickly recounting his other conjectures about the Eldar, "there's also the view that Death is simply the other side of the youngest."
"Wait?! You said Mortarian is dead?!?"
Hades suddenly shouted, his pupils dilating violently. His shout pierced the night, and even the unconscious Blake on the ground seemed to tremble.
But the stone merely flickered impatiently.
"You think our deaths are comparable to those of mortals?" Magnus countered. "Then tell me, am I alive or dead right now? Mortalian, at least, is mostly intact in spirit."
Like death.
Hades paused, realizing that the death Magnus spoke of was not what he had imagined. Hades quickly asked...
"So Mortalian can still be saved?!"
【Can,】
The stone in Hades' hand became scorching hot, and the green light on it had long since faded. Hades understood and threw the stone away. The next moment, Magnus appeared in front of him.
Compared to before, Magnus now looked much more tired and thinner. The Primarch ran his hand through his disheveled hair.
To put it in your own words, Mortalian is currently unable to leave the garden for various reasons, and he needs external support—preferably from a power different from his own.
Magnus didn't understand... Perhaps Mortalian should have realized this too, so why was he trapped in this situation?
"I?"
Hades asked, and Magnus rolled his eyes.
"You are currently unable to enter the warp, even if you attempt to attack a warp entity..." Magnus paused for a moment, then looked Hades over again.
Because of the anchoring of your physical body, your projection in the subspace cannot move.
"So all I need to do is physically get to the garden's relative location?"
[—One last time! Negative psychic energy, Oglin! The High Heaven is not the real world—there are no maps, no space! In the simplest terms, even a baby could understand, you can think of it as the garden constantly moving.]
After some explanation, Hades finally understood how hard the High Heavens had tried to exclude him.
“Fine,” Hades said reluctantly. He still hoped that one day he could enter the warp. Perhaps he should find a more powerful psyker, like Neos or Makado, and put him in the warp instead of the tiny little Mag in front of him.
"Then why did you just say 'Don't stop'? Did Mortarian say that?"
Magnus coughed twice. "I don't know why Mortarian has gotten himself into this mess, but I know what he needs—he needs external help to break this deadlock."
As Magnus spoke, he carefully extended his hand, a wisp of almost invisible white mist rising from his fingertips.
Primarch was wary of the negative psychic Oglin in front of him, fearing that Oglin's power would cause this wisp of energy to dissipate.
"He didn't tell me that," Magnus said, "but communication in the warp is never based on mere language. Among the layers of withered grass, I have glimpsed the true meaning of the Pale Lord."
He knew, of course, that Hades was uneasy. Magnus looked at Hades, "This is Mortarion's psionic energy. Use your abilities to judge for yourself whether it's real—or at least whether you can tell if it comes from Mortarion?"
He watched as Hades frowned seriously, and then Magnus immediately released his aura and moved away.
Before Hades, the faint mist of light vanished, and Hades' eyebrows were almost completely furrowed, as if he were carefully examining something, while he subconsciously smacked his lips.
"A bit like."
Finally, Hades drew his conclusion.
“Too little,” Hades said disdainfully. “Little Mag, aren’t you the Empire’s greatest psionicist? Could you bring some more of this psionic energy so I can examine it more closely?”
"One of the greatest psionicists!" Magnus raised his voice, tilting his head arrogantly. "Still just fragments! —And you're being far too greedy. How difficult do you think it is to steal a wisp of life from the garden?!"
Then came another long-winded tirade and insults about the negative psychic Oglin, devoid of any useful knowledge, consisting entirely of the psychic's emotional outbursts and resentment towards himself. Hades simply let it go in one ear and out the other.
Before Magnus could utter another word, Hades quickly interjected, "So, we're now going to provide the Mortarion with other psionic powers... He means the Greenskins? Isn't that a bit too risky?"
【You can also look for other psionic powers. Are you going to tame Tyrannosaurus?】
The Primarch "kindly" offered this reminder, and Hades fell into deep thought.
Conservatively speaking, the best option is to contact the Death Guard and have them come—or contact a reliable psyker, such as Neos or Makado.
"I wonder if the outside world has found out that I'm back..."
Hades whispered, "Little Mag, is Mortarian in a hurry?"
This startled Magnuston. The Primarch coughed twice and said awkwardly, "Perhaps it wasn't in a hurry originally."
"original?"
The Pale Lord and the Corrupt Heaven are trapped in the same stagnant endgame; they were originally neither corrupt nor defeated, but...
“But—?” Hades stared at Magnus.
However, my appearance may have subtly disrupted the flow of time, and Mortalian's current situation may have become somewhat dangerous...
Magnus's voice softened, then suddenly rose again, "I'm doing this to fulfill your request, Eugenie. This time, the responsibility is yours!"
With a snap, Magnus turned back into a stone. Hades put away the Dark Domain and picked up Magnus expressionlessly.
“I advise you to think twice before you speak,” Hades said gently, as he slowly drove away the surging darkness.
Amidst the resonant screams of the stones, Hades slowly withdrew his dark domain.
He sighed. Magnus's words seemed beyond his comprehension. Hades looked up at the starry sky, which seemed to be blinking back at him—if only the outside world would notice his return.
That way, he wouldn't have to listen to the advice of that unreliable little red horse.
Hades began to miss Neos and Macado again.
Or perhaps Mortalian, numerology is actually... quite useful too.
Yup!
Hades suddenly realized, numerology!
Although he himself has no psionic powers, he remembers Mortalian's formula from back then, which he can teach to Black!
He doesn't need to be an expert; he just needs to figure out what to do next. He can ask the Greenskins for help and settle down in Morthari!
Hades was jolted awake, immediately forgetting the stars, and began trying to shake Blake awake.

【Amigidon】
"Boss!"
I was furious. I slapped myself, shook my head, and walked over to the green throne, where I said in a muffled voice,
"Old Pao Yan has already gone back. I saw him being surrounded and taken away by that bunch of small fry."
The infamous Bonebreaker, Mag Uruk Saraka, the king of the throne, glanced at Warboss, whose gaze was like a sharp, piercing gun. In just one look, Warboss was trembling with rage.
The Bonebreaker paced before his throne, and the Buttlings, the Scraggs, and the Greenskins all saluted him.
"I have defeated Old Cannon Eye—no, we are still evenly matched," said the Bonebreaker, rising to his feet. The majestic, verdant beast exhaled murky heat, its massive claws stained with blood.
"But I can't wait for him anymore,"
The Bonebreaker uttered philosophical words, which only fueled his rage. He simply couldn't utter such bold and assertive words as his boss.
"After a long journey, I will face Old Cannon Eye again," said the Bonebreaker, "but by then, I will be stronger, bigger, and even more WAAAAAGH!!!"
The Bone Crusher shook his head, then changed the subject.
"I just dreamt about Gao Ge and Mao Ge."
Enraged and shocked, the Bonebreaker was truly a true greenskin among greenskins—Gao Ge and Mao Ge were wishing him even greater WAAAAAGH!
The Bone Crusher blinked his tiny, bean-sized eyes.
"I dreamt that Gao Ge and Mao Ge were very angry. They were being haunted by something extremely awful. I saw that monster in my dream."
The Bone Crusher suddenly stopped. A long silence followed, and the atmosphere in the hall grew heavy. Suppressed by this oppressive atmosphere, he mustered his courage and asked in a gruff voice, "..."
What did you see?
