I swear by the countless great people who sacrificed themselves to illuminate the darkness, everything I have said is true, and there is not a trace of deception.
Magnus raised his arms, the golden light of the stage falling on his muscular arms, his red skin gleaming.
He recalled the raised arms he had spoken in the prophecy, standing at the turning point of fate, declaring to the world that he was a true great man who had contributed to the salvation of human civilization.
The darkness before him was merely a temporary prejudice, Magnus thought, and the Emperor would understand him; the prophecy had already foretold his victory.
Even though his consciousness trembled for a moment when he touched the thought of Hades, the nauseating feeling from the cold, damp room just now seemed not to have dissipated.
Magnus took a deep breath, feigning composure, and spoke in a deep, resonant voice.
Humanity needs progress.
He said that the Scarlet King slowly walked around, showing people his sincere heart.
He spoke of the wonders of the sea of consciousness, telling them the story of how the first person to emerge from the cave and see the light was murdered by his foolish companions. He claimed that psychic energy was not evil, but a treasure trove full of gold coins, and that people only needed to find the right way to open it.
The subspace is neutral, and what people need to do is discover the good and beauty within it!
Magnus was radiant; he felt the support and encouragement from the warp, as if applause were ringing out.
Acquiring knowledge inevitably requires hard work and dedication, but it will bring us abundant rewards. We cannot be deterred by ignorance and remain stagnant—humanity needs to move forward, explore, and step onto a broader stage!
Applause, a thunderous applause, greeted him. Magnus knew his speech was far more brilliant than that of the Lord of Death. He raised his head and revealed a dazzling smile.
However—Magnus caught a glimpse of the figure slowly rising out of the corner of his eye, and his soul trembled for a moment.
The darkness was watching him.
Amidst the astonished gazes of the crowd, the darkness slowly dissipated, and Hades was exposed to the light.
Half of him was a handsome general, the other half a grotesque mechanical creation; the man was calmly staring at Magnus.
So young? Fugen muttered to himself.
However, most people remained absolutely silent, staring at the two people at the center of the incident.
“I have objections,”
Hades said.
"You are permitted to question Hades, Lord of the Order of Silence."
Makado's voice fell from the high platform, without a trace of emotion.
Hades stared at Magnus,
"What you just said is that there is goodwill towards humanity in the warp, and it is a treasure trove that welcomes humanity."
Hades stared intently at Magnus, who involuntarily swallowed.
Hades shook his head slightly.
"There is no goodwill in the subspace."
"The Order of Silence has fought for many years against countless psionic beings, or even more blasphemous ones, but I have never seen a benevolent being."
I can testify.
Anglo-Angron suddenly spoke, a person no one had expected. He stood up, and people stared in astonishment at this Primarch who rarely appeared. The intrusion of the World Eater had already been shocking enough.
I can also testify.
The next voice immediately followed him, and the Lord of Death stood up.
Count me in!
The wolf king bared its teeth and roared, then slammed its hand on the chair and stood up.
In the audience, Fugen covered his mouth in surprise, Dorn frowned, and the angel remained silent, as if waiting for something, but his expression was not good.
The emperor remained expressionless.
Hades hadn't anticipated this, but it didn't stop him. He didn't turn to look at his ally; he kept his eyes on Magnus, knowing what he had to say.
Hades smiled, and for a moment Magnus seemed to see a smile similar to Macado's. This was definitely not a good thing, and he wanted to take a step back, but he held back.
“Commander of the Thousand Sons, I have presented my evidence. If you do not believe me, we can present our evidence to the Lord of Humanity.”
Hades said,
“Then you need to produce your evidence to prove that there is goodwill in the warp—otherwise, you will be guilty of deception, Magnus.”
Magnus twitched almost imperceptibly, and the psychic energy that had just filled him seemed to dissipate rapidly.
Sorry for posting a little late.
The calculation is based on yesterday's figures.

Chapter 370 Looking for some fun? Why aren't you watching anymore?
[Nicaea Conference Main Hall]
Magnus felt his soul trembling.
He stood on the bright, exposed stage, like a crystal toy displayed behind a glass window, with countless eyes staring at him, questioning, mocking, and feeling uneasy.
Those...those despicable people who only hide in the crowd and laugh at the Scarlet King from below the stage!
Magnus thought angrily, but his anger, like it had come, was fleeting, and he began to feel empty and pale again, like a helpless victim exposed to the spotlight.
He stared intently at the culprit—at least he still had the courage to no longer hide his true self in the darkness of deception!
He stared directly at the monster disguised as a soulless being. The brief moment his gaze lingered made Magnus dizzy, and he had to look away.
He saw the foolish Mortarion, the rude Lemanrus, and that seemingly cruel Angron—they were all blind! Didn't they know the true nature of this so-called Hades?!
But he had no time to curse them. Magnus looked to Fugen for help, wishing someone would stand up for him. Fugen frowned sadly and shook his head slightly at him.
...A phoenix that looks good but is useless!
Magnus cursed inwardly. He looked at the angel, whose gaze was as cold as ice, like a sculpture about to crumble. The angel did not respond to Magnus's pleas; he simply sat there.
Magnus's soul gasped for breath, his unfocused gaze drifting toward the White Scar's think tank, but he saw the White Scar's head looking at him with guilt; this was a situation that the Space Marines couldn't resolve.
Why didn't the Khan come? Did he already know the purpose of this trial?
Filled with sorrow and anger, Magnus felt betrayed. He looked toward the seating area of the Thousand Sons, where his offspring were watching him with concern.
He cannot fall.
If he falls, and a great psionicist of the Empire falls, then the study of psionics will once again fall into an eternal darkness, and they will have to burn books and bury instruments.
Magnus took a deep breath, his hand trembling slightly as he cast the spell. If he summoned the guardian spirits, would these mortals be able to understand the spirits' truth?
The Thousand Children rarely show their Guardian Spirits to outsiders. The wonder of these little creatures is difficult for mortals to understand, but every psionicist can appreciate their charm. Before the wise men discussed naming these subspace beings "Guardian Spirits," the Thousand Children called them angels.
"Angel," a word rich in religious connotations and irrational, has been abandoned. Angels do not exist in this world, nor do they exist—
Magnus caught a glimpse of the darkness distorting and screaming in the ethereal perspective.
Well, the devil still exists, and now he's trying to drag humanity back to the ignorant Middle Ages.
Hades slightly raised the greatsword he was supporting with both hands, and a soft thud sounded as it hit the ground.
Makado's voice rang out from the high platform.
"Magnus, watch your time."
In the shadows, someone frowned deeply.
Magnus looked at Hades expressionlessly.
“The Scarlet King, silence and lies will erode the last remaining trust the Order of Silence has in psionicists.”
Magnus read his unspoken words: Hades was threatening him, mocking him for wearing down the Empire's patience with the psykers.
Magnus raised his voice, his booming voice echoing throughout the hall.
The vast ocean naturally possesses goodwill, but it is not foolish; it will not open its doors to prejudice!
Hades closed his eyes, remained silent for a moment, and then opened them.
“Words are no proof. Produce your evidence, Magnus.”
Magnus trembled slightly. Could he—could he summon the guardian spirit here? But wouldn't that be tantamount to proclaiming to everyone that the Empire's truth did not exist?!
Magnus adhered to the constraints of imperial truth and did not wish to expose the emperor's lies in public!
No, no, no—he could describe the guardian spirit as some kind of psionic species, forming a bond with the Thousand Children through psionic energy.
But he really, he really wanted to—
The deafening sound of Macado's scepter striking the ground on the high platform behind him shattered Magnus completely.
Nobody supports him! Even Makado is in cahoots with that devil! So why can't he prove his innocence? Why should he stoop to the level of lies?!
Magnus took a deep breath, raised his right hand, and psionic lightning crackled. With a wave of his hand, a magic circle appeared on the ground beside him.
The chaotic runes seemed to writhe and twist on it as if they were alive.
In the audience, the archangel opened his eyes wide, put his hands on the armrests, and rose slightly, the gold and silver ornaments on his wings making a soft clinking sound.
"No," the archangel said softly.
White Scar Think Tank frowned, arms crossed uneasily, and behind him, the faces of all the other think tanks looked grim.
In the Chizu rest area, Ahriman and the other Chizu stared nervously at Magnus, wondering whose guardian spirit their father would summon.
The wolf king let out a threatening snort.
Others who didn't understand psychic abilities looked on with curiosity or fear.
Hades remained expressionless; the fish had taken the bait, he thought.
Magnus spread his arms and paced around, showing people the summoning circle. He had specially chosen a quiet and docile guardian spirit.
Then he began to chant, and the Scarlet King's red hair moved without wind, his psychic energy flashing and tearing through the darkness.
Normally, the Crimson King only needs a summoning array and a thought to summon enough guardian spirits to serve a city, but now his brows are furrowing more and more, and fine beads of sweat are appearing on his forehead.
He could hardly sense his guardian spirit; there were too many soulless beings here, which weakened his connection with the vast ocean.
Perhaps he should give up, but it was hard for Magnus to accept failing at a simple summoning spell in public.
His chanting intensified, and the density of psionic lightning around his body instantly increased.
Saint Gilles frowned, while the archangel clenched his fist in exasperation. What on earth was Magnus doing?!
Hades' eyes darkened. Tzeentch escaped? Right?
If that's the case, Magnus would at most be punished for lying, rather than proven to have committed a heinous crime.
Hades gripped the hilt of his sword tightly. "Magnus," he thought softly, "Go for it."
Sweat streamed down Magnus's face as he waved his arms, making him look more like a medieval wizard. His heart pounded as he desperately searched for a familiar presence in the vast ocean.
It's up there!
"It's going to run away!!!"
Kirkland's scream exploded in Vox's ears. Vox held tightly to the left leg of the Imperial Guard who was lying on the ground, convulsing and struggling. He drew a white bullet from his waist and blew it out.
boom!
The thing inside the Imperial Guard let out an unimaginably shrill scream.
Bjorn, who was holding the right hand of the guard, coughed violently from the white powder, but he still held on tightly to the guard's hand as he struggled to break free, while kicking the guard with his foot.
Jin's massive body pressed down on the Imperial Guard, most of Bjorn, and a small portion of Vox, while the Mechanical Sage was using his mechanical arm to strike the Imperial Guard's neck.
The four of them struggled on the ground. Amon tried desperately to stand up, but the other three would never let him get up and find his balance.
Kirkland stood beside the tumbling men, roaring as he used his Spark Axe to occasionally strike the guards buried beneath three men. Vox was certain he had already been accidentally chopped twice by Kirkland.
Hauser huddled trembling in the corner of the room. Just moments before, the Imperial Guard had begun to smirk and utter nonsensical words, and the next instant, he was rammed by King. He saw Kirkland being slammed against the wall by the Imperial Guard, and Vox and Wild Bear burst into the room.
Wild Bear charged forward first, taking the hit of the Imperial Guards head-on. After a black bullet exploded, Vox then bent down and rammed into the Imperial Guards' waist, while simultaneously stabbing the syringe in his hand into the gaping hole in Kirkland's armor.
The unsettling injection caused the Imperial Guards to convulse, giving them an opportunity. Wild Bear and Vox dragged the battlefield to the ground, throwing the Imperial Guards' weapons aside and kicking them away by Kirkland.
The guard roared angrily, and at one point he almost stood up, but King jumped and slammed into him, and Hauser heard a crisp sound of bones breaking.
"One more white bullet!!!"
