"Hahahaha!!!"
Hades let out a huge, mocking laugh. Makado silently and magically pulled a huge golden scepter from under his black robe. The old man stood up and walked toward Hades.
Mortarion stood up expressionlessly, standing before Hades, the Lord of Death lowering his scythe.
Incidentally, Mortarion also tapped Hades' foot with his scythe, signaling him to shut up and at least be a little human.
Angron smiled, grabbed Makado, and asked curiously, "..."
What exactly is going on, Makado? You can feel—this feeling?
Makado's lips twitched.
He says,
Hades was having so much fun that he decided to continue reading.
Hades wasn't much better off. He felt like Makado was using psionic energy to force him into a vat full of vomit, while the vomit was loudly cursing him as a piece of non-combustible trash.
Hades' voice gradually faded away.
"Uh... okay, that's how it is."
Just as Mortarion was about to ask Hades if he felt this sensation every time he jumped through the warp, Hades behind him began to scream.
“Psionicists and soulless beings are destined to have no good ending, Makado, you and I are destined to be apart! Even if shit and vomit might be a perfect match, they are still worlds apart!”
Mortarian pondered for a moment, then silently took a step to the side, watching Macardo strut past him with his cane in hand.
The following reading was completed by Guilliman, accompanied by the loud sound of a psionic cane being swung, powerful psionic incantations, and a shrill shout of "Macado, you have no respect for the elderly or for the young, and no martial virtue!"
Mortarian accepted the pastry bearing the Macurag insignia from Angron without expression; he should have realized this sooner.
Finally, Makado stood there panting, leaning on his cane, while Hades remained unharmed, continuing to yell loudly. He nimbly darted into Makado's cane attack range, shouted, and then immediately withdrew.
Mortalian should have realized long ago that this was his way of having fun, and the three Primarchs quickly adapted to this absurd situation.
The background noise of Guilliman's reading cut out; he stopped at the part where Macardo wanted Hades to comment on Terra.
"It's pointless," Mortalian thought. Guilliman had just finished reading about how rubbish Terra was, a huge religious dumping ground. What else could Hades possibly say?
He heard Hades scream shrilly behind him.
"Don't read! Don't! Guilliman—"
Bang! Makado struck Hades squarely on the head with a blow, and the old man shouted angrily.
"Read it! You dare to say it but not to take responsibility!"
Guilliman, trembling, read the sentence aloud in disbelief.
I feel... Terra is inferior to Macurag?
Hades looked at the two enormous figures approaching him with an embarrassed grin.
"Well, let's talk this over. A gentleman doesn't resort to violence."
Mortarian's eyes didn't blink; he lowered his scythe.
Why Macurag?
Killian, meanwhile, stared at Hades with a smile.
Why Macuragh—I think you know the political significance of Terra, Hades, are you…doing this on purpose?
Now Killieman knows why Macardo was targeting him all that time.
Chapter 363 A Few Things About the Construction of Faos
Good times are always short-lived.
While most people would find it hard to call life in the Maelstrom "good times," Hades, Angron, and the World Eaters all agreed that it was indeed quite good.
Five years later, after confirming that Angron was in good health, Hades focused his efforts on building Faos.
Now, Hades can confidently say that Faus is absolutely the dominant force in the Great Vortex, and the Cathedral of the Second One on it is the ultimate masterpiece.
In that small sacred land, Faos possessed a physics far purer than the physical universe. Thoughts were no longer monitored, and logic returned to logic. Apart from mathematical problems that could drive people mad, there was no other highly toxic knowledge here.
If one is a "lucky" sage, one might even be able to glean a small fragment of knowledge from the faint hissing sounds emanating from beneath the cathedral.
Promise me, wise men, that you will use technology to beat up Tzeentch.
Unexpectedly, the chaotic vortex of psionic energy actually broke the blockade on technological innovation.
Following Hades' guidance and the suggestions of several great sages, several large laboratories have been completed around the Cathedral of the Second One, which will serve as important testing grounds for experimental data in the foreseeable future.
New technological ideas emerge from the church's meditation room, are tested in laboratories near the cathedral, and then prototypes are assembled. These prototypes are then taken to the chaotic psionic field of the Great Vortex to further test their reliability within the psionic field.
After all, reality is not as pure as the contemplation room.
In the highest-level reading room of the Cathedral of the Second Holy Trinity, countless handwritten materials by Hades are prominently displayed. Some knowledge is destined to be tested by countless practices and time. All Hades could do was to light a few lamps in the dark night of knowledge to illuminate different paths.
Of course, there are also data versions. Hades uploaded all of them to Nirvana, and sages of sufficient level can access them on their own.
Rather than aspiring to be a researcher, Hades now needs to become a competent general, having spent most of his time fighting during these years in the Great Vortex.
However, in between his ruthless beatings of his neighbors, Hades still managed to complete several projects.
One is the Black Box, a personality collector used for Nirvana Renewal, which can only be equipped by the highest-ranking sages.
Another one is the Spirit Lamp, inspired and technologically advanced by Kirkland. It is a small light bulb that can detect the psionic field within at least one kilometer of its surroundings. The stronger the psionic energy, the brighter the light.
Any sage of Phaeus can wear it.
Although it has no offensive power, the Spirit Lamp can at least serve as an early warning system. Attacks against psionic energy are currently limited to the Soulless, and small-scale black stones are merely ripples that resonate with the Soulless.
However, large-scale blackstone structures can indeed have a certain anti-psychic effect.
Amidst the rows of factories in Faos, countless black stone obelisks stand prominently.
It needs to be clarified that the Blackrock Obelisk is not an anti-psychic; it is more like an amplifier that can amplify both physical and psychic energy.
This is why, at the Black Stone Obelisk in Barbaros, apart from the main tower, the other secondary towers have no activation system at all, and the activation circuit of the main tower is also broken; only Hades knows how to connect and activate it.
This was Hades' measure to prevent those with ulterior motives from exploiting the Blackrock Spire to amplify the psionic side.
Hades made a similar design for the Blackrock Spire of Faos: the activation system of the main tower was kept strictly secret, and only the highest-ranking sages knew its key.
Meanwhile, a piece of black stone, infected with the physical side and unearthed from beneath the Cathedral of the Second One, is placed next to the Blackstone Tower activator.
Psionicists are also prohibited from entering the area surrounding Blackrock Spire.
Now, if the sages so desire, Phaeus can activate the physical field that covers the entire planet.
In five years, Faos has transformed from a barren wasteland into an industrial planet with a complete industrial system, air defense system, and even anti-psychic energy system.
Countless mineral resources were transported here from the shipping routes opened up by Hades himself during the war. The port was filled with giant ships, and bullets and cannons filled every warehouse. Sages were busy, and even the most mediocre sage hoped to obtain a great honor in order to be allowed to enter the deepest part of the Cathedral of the Two-One.
The Nirvana system has already been applied on a small scale in logistics and energy distribution, and its application will be further expanded after it passes the acceptance test in the next century.
The mantra personally written by Om Messiah has spread throughout the thought engines of every sage. For the sake of truth and humanity, in the realm of technology, Phaeus will become His most loyal knight, charging into battle for Him.
Although this forging world is currently only a dominant force within the Great Vortex, it is still somewhat lacking in its ability to support the grand wars between stars in the far reaches of space.
Hades smiled, but in any case, Faos had at least developed before he left. Although he didn't have a full set of six items, he had a complete transition set.
A tremendous roar resounded, and Hades turned his head to see the sages directing the transport ships to continuously load ammunition onto the World Eater's ships.
The sages clearly understood that this separation was estimated to be measured in centuries—especially within the chaotic vortex of time.
So they seized every opportunity to replenish the supplies for the previously devastated World Eaters.
Lord Hades,
The voice of Captain Salin, the World Eater, rang out from the channel, tinged with a hint of impatience.
[Excuse my disrespect, but please stop letting those geeks shove ammunition onto the fleet, sir. I don't want the Conqueror to become a firecracker that explodes at the slightest touch.]
Hades got along very well with the World Eaters—so well that they didn’t seem to consider him an outsider.
Hades clearly spoke frankly with the World Eaters, and his straightforward personality, coupled with his pursuit of order and honor, resonated with them perfectly.
Hades began to speak jokingly.
“You can go directly to those oil enthusiasts to negotiate. This is your boat, Ms. Salin.”
If only they would listen to human speech.
At the other end, Salin stared intently through the porthole at the fleet flowing outside. Beside her stood Kahn, who casually gripped his axe and spoke…
"No need to trouble Hades, we can use those empty lounges as storage for now—"
No! Absolutely not!
Salin turned her head, furious; her high-pitched voice convinced Kahn that she was a master of war cries.
"Unless this is Lord Angron's order—what does Lord Angron think? No, don't answer me with that dawdling attitude!"
Kahn looked away, not wanting to argue with Captain Salin, convinced that Angron's only thought about the matter was that he was pleased with the sages' passionate enthusiasm.
Well, actually, Angron, who sensed the sages' good intentions, found it difficult to refuse the oily guys, but he also had a hard time dealing with the world-devouring female captain's bad temper.
"……Listen to you."
Kahn said slowly, "Anyway, the sages have given us enough ammunition to keep the World Eaters from eating or drinking for three or four years and still have some left over."
Of course, this is also related to the significant reduction in the number of World Eaters. The Legion is unable to recruit soldiers in the Maelstrom, so after leaving the Maelstrom, the World Eaters' primary task will be to recruit soldiers.
In the end, Hades, who had had enough of the drama on the channel, saved Kahn. He calmly contacted the Great Sage Hysen and asked the sages to stop stuffing things into the ship.
As Hades listened to Hysen's report, he pondered the next path out of the vortex. He originally intended to find the Death Guard and have Mortarion check if there was any possibility of a rapid cure for Angron's brain.
Unfortunately, the Emperor wouldn't give him a break, but the merciful Lord of Humanity pointed out his next place to work overtime—
Nicaea.
Yes, code
Chapter 364 Angron, Hades, Mortarion
Humans are beings with subjective initiative.
Therefore, Hades chose to spend his voyage to Nicaea aboard the World Eater's Conqueror rather than the Silent Order's Corkutus, stating that he was allergic to that style of decor.
To further exercise his initiative, Hades brought the Macurag blanket from his bedroom on the Cocurtes to his lounge on the Conqueror.
Angron once asked Hades what it was, and Hades honestly told the Lord of the Red Sands that it was the homeworld of his brother, Robert Guilliman. Angron expressed his sincere bewilderment at this.
Brother, aren't you...aren't you from the Silent Order?
Hades blinked. Why did he feel like the edges of the carpet were pilling? He didn't remember messing with the carpet.
“The Order of Silence is not a complete legion, Angron, uh… to be honest, I am a member of the Death Guard of the Fourteenth Legion.”
Angron suddenly realized,
[Ah, you are the Primarch of the Death Guard?]
Hades coughed violently.
"No! No! I mean I am the commander of the Death Guard—and by blood..."
Hades paused, seemingly pondering complex matters, a chaotic hierarchy of generations that even the Om Messiah couldn't comprehend.
"Well... anyway, you can't really be considered brothers with me, I mean in the blood sense."
Angron first laughed and patted Hades, telling him that friendships forged on the battlefield are far more reliable than blood ties. Then Angron paused, and asked somewhat cautiously,
[Brother, I'm saying, so the Fourteenth Legion's Death Guard has a different Primarch?]
Hades nodded vigorously.
"Mortalian, the Lord of Death, I think you'll meet him when we get to Nicaea. He's very knowledgeable in potion-making and anti-phantom energy..."
"And numerology."
Hades paused, then said thoughtfully,
"Although I see Mortalian either mixing poisons or on his way to mix poisons every day, he should also have some research on treatment and rehabilitation. We'll see if he can help you then."
Hades glanced at Angron's nails, which had turned into decorative dreadlocks, with layers of bloodstains at the bottom—the marks left by the Primarch's brain growing and trying to squeeze out the nails.
